A light of day trader ( tectonically a pattern morning trader) has to save $25000 in an statement. That is the SEC rule. You can not get around it.
As to daylight trading, Yes you can make a nice living doing it;. MOST time traders are idiots high roller Vegas gambler types and resembling in Vegas they lose. I afternoon trade. I will take a small profit and be in good spirits. I trade well prearranged stocks, most on the DOW 30. I look of one that has well brought-up rise and fall, ie IBM. In a days time it almost other has at smallest a $1 trading range. Today interested 97.76 high 99.15 low 97.16 close 98.31 up .71. (the days breadth was 1.39) Now that doesn't explain to the real story, while it be up .71 over the previous days close... it closed at 97.59 so on opening trade it be up .17. I bought 500 at 97.30 and sold at 98.00
for a net gain of 336 after commissions. Considering it took adjectives of ten minutes for the whole operate, since I put in a get rid of at 98 as soon as I bought... then sour to the beach. I come back and saw it have sold. NOW if it didn't I still owned a very honourable stock. I know traders who trade CROX .. wouldn't touch it. It does trade, but it isn't a quality stock that will regain strength next to a better market.
I own two accounts one a trading account and one a true investing depiction. If the worst happend I would transfer the IBM to a investing statement, because it is good for the long run also.
