Answers: That sounds very strange to me since you can only do 3 transactions a week. My brokerage, Scottrade, let me do unlimited stock trades. There are many other brokerages that let you do more than 3 trades in a week.
What is your brokerage firm, anyways?

What stocks should I buy for 2008?

Everyone is saying within could be a recession coming up soon, so with that contained by mind, what stocks look like devout investments right now? I own heard that healthcare stocks are angelic "defensive" investments during times like this, but what else? How roughly Wachovia Bank, now that it have already dropped a lot, and have a low P/E? How about Lowe's? Target? Any brewers, wineries, or distillers? Or perchance a foreign company, that is not tied to the US reduction (China?).

Any ideas or recommendation are welcome.

Answers: Look for glorious dividends.

Such as (surprise) WWE_World Wrestling Entertainment.

They've paid out $0.24 for respectively of the last 9 base.
buy gold, silver, and copper.

The just recession proof stock is alcohol, so a wine stock would be a safe bet.
When a country is within a period of dignified inflation (as ours is right now..) the prices of gold ingots will go up so it would be a accurate time to get into that open market before you lose out on it..near should be a couple of articles online about it lately so you dont have to foundation this on a random being like me! Hope this help...good luck :) !

How do I find out if stock certificates have been cashed?

Answers: Assuming you are in physical possession of the certificates, look on it and you will see a registrar and transfer agent. The registrar keeps the records of who owns what. Contact them first. If you do not have the certificates, contact investor relations of the company and they will let you know who you need to speak with.
