Things I dislike:
1. All statements are sent electronically, i.e. no paper copies
2. All stocks are held within street name (they are held by sharebuilder for your benefit)
3. The free plan (no monthly overhead charges) is somewhat restricted in the fund research they allow you to do compared to their premium plans (you can research outside of their system using Yahoo or G00GLE finance)
4. You can't buy of late any stock or bond, you are restricted to their list which is reasonably extensive but they may be missing the one you want

Answers: Mutual fund prices are based on the closing prices of the stocks in their portfolio. When the new price is posted varies with the mutual fund. But it will be available and effective prior to the next days open.
