Should water be sold as a commodity?
Answers: Hell no.
Water is a human right, and will hopefully soon be made official by the UN.
I'm all for taking advantage of people to make a buck, but water is just too much even for me. Water is absolutely essential for life. If we make water a commodity, it will just make 3rd world countries even poorer, many people will die, and it will hold them down forever.
It IS sold as a commodity and for very good reasons--it's a scarce natural resource that needs to be safely and efficiently delivered to people in order to sustain life. Water delivery and treatment is NOT free--it has to be paid for.
Throughout the world, sources of water are owned, protected, allocated, etc. In Arizona where I live, we have basically four sources of water:
"Colorado River water, surface water other than Colorado River water, ground water, and effluent"

We pay for water--Indians got a good settlement recently. We have to treat "effluent" water, especially in a desert it's insane to waste it.
If you want to be able to protect it, clean it, and deliver it, then yes, it's a commodity.

Alot of deals hold fallen apart just now, but on the other hand, Microsoft seem pretty serious for whatever motivation.
I think most of the postives are already priced into Yahoo! stock, and maybe the better risk/reward scenerio would be to take a small flyer on a few put option.
You should short sell YHOO if you give attention to if not worth $10 and the current price is around $29. Put your money where on earth your mouth is.
The current bid for YHOO has be rejected in anticipation of a better bid from MSN.
The only good thing yahoo has over G00GLE is that in attendance is one less message when typing. Don't get me wrong, I perfer G00GLE, but if family need to type contained by a search engine yahoo would be their second choice. And not solitary does yahoo give similar flush results, but your can get your weather, communication headlines, stock quotes adjectives on the same page instantly.
