Answers: there is no channel unless you think up of some really cool i dea and trade name tons of money from it. but that takes work if your really lethargic the best thing i would enunciate is put your money in a cd and make tracks it there

How is average yield from dividends calculated?

Answers: divide the annual dividend by the price of the security. If it is a stock, the price of the stock. If it is a mutual fund, the price of the mutual fund. But with a mutual fund the dividend is variable and may not be what it was.

if you are asking for one company, it is the amount of money paid out in dividens for the last year, divided by the current share price. We don't use the number for future dividens because though are not certain. if you are talking about an entire index, it is weighted on how large each company is in their index, its a pretty complex formula. If you are looking for some good stock try www.thewallstreethunter.com they have a pretty good track record for picking and offer very insightful daily market commentary.
