Answers: I do not understand what you mean by only deposit, not trading. If you are just looking for a foreign currency deposit, any banks will do it for you.

Answers: The pound/euro rate is bad at the moment, but everything I own read says that it is expected to get even worse over the subsequent year. It has dropped completely quickly so you might not see much adaptation before February, but I wouldn't bet on it going vertebrae to the rate we were getting a couple of months ago any time soon. The pound is dropping because the marketplace is concerned about the size of the UK management defecit, given the size of the numbers being talk about and the certainty that the UK is slipping into recession the defecit is not going to get better any time soon.
Shop around for a well brought-up rate and make sure you don't settle up commission. But waiting another few weeks will probably not significantly increase the number of Euros you are able to buy.

You buy the Euro when its cheap (now),and then you hang about till it get stronger (sell it ) at hand you got the profit.
