Gold have historically been a lousy long-term investment. In 1980, it reach $850 per ounce. Where does it sit today?
About $885 per ounce. If it would have kept step with inflation it should be sitting at over $2100 per ounce right very soon.
My main problem near gold bugs, is they own such a doom and gloom scenery on the economy. I enjoy literally listened to them predict the collapse of the US reduction for 20 years now.
Maybe they are finally going to be correct. However, I own invested my money in other investment vehicle. I personally believe gold ingots will retrace downward.
Silver may be something to look at. I have be in ETF SVR for 3 months presently, and it has returned over 15% already.
