Recession or most important monetary issue?
I am a fairly youthful investor having with the sole purpose gone through the tech boom/bust. I made it through that issue. Here is my problem with this current downturn. First, here are the subprime mortgages which were a mistake (I find the reality that some of the loans actually occur as shocking). Second, I have hear that a good number of general public relied on their home equity to pay consummables. I am not sure if explicitly true but that makes little sense to me. Thirdly, these loans be packaged as investments (I guess the drop in these investments lead to people not wanting to give up credit). Fourthly, the fed dropped the feed funds rate 3/4 of a point and will likely drop it again. To me, this adjectives argues for a decrease within what consumers have to spend. Further, I suppose this also argues for a fairly substantial recession. It in recent times seems that the credit and equity issues will nick a while to work out. Am curious about where on earth we are headed.Answers: Trying to time the bazaar is a losing battle. Buffet said to be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.
