If a company calls for the cancellation of their the stock, what happens to stocks that I own now?
Answers: That depends.
If the company is being bought out (a takeover), then you will receive stock in the new company and/or cash.
If the company is going out of business (bankrupt), then the stock will become worthless.
I don't know, but it sounds frightening. It may mean that they intend to buy back all their shares.
