PS: If you become a millionaire, keep it a secret because all your "friends" and family will hound you and bug you to give it to them. Also, hide it under your bed because the IRS and state will find out and take everything they can get.
Inheritance of a million or more, winning big brother and then making a complete fool of yourself, that will get media attention and they will pay you handsomely.

I think maybe stocks and shares buying n selling them is possibly the way to go, 6months is a bit quick though for that.
Can you make anything to sell? or set a business but that would take a few years at least to get established. I think you would have go the illegal route!
Rob a millionnaire, 6 months will give you time to organise it. Pick the last lottery jackpot winner, the shock will have him/her in a state of confusion. Get several disguises and spy on her, you might need to invest on some equipment. If you need help, don't tell them what's going on, create a cover story for getting them to do what you want them to do.
After three months surveillance you should be able to come up with a strategy for either conning, blackmailing or just taking the money from them.
