Where can I look up the Book Value of a company? Is there a place to do that?

Answers: for any public company do the following:
go to: www.finance.yahoo.com

enter the ticker symbol of the company you are interested in

on the L hand side there is a long menu, under the company heading there is a button labeled: Key Statistics. click it.

on the 4th line up from the bottom on the left side it lists the book value per share. take that and multiply it by the number of shares outstanding (19th line up on the right side) and that is the book value of the company.
book value, you mean the company's porfilo.
If the company is public, yes but i don't think you can if its not public..

than again im not sure
The book value can be discovered by looking at the balance sheet; it is the net value of the business (assets minus liabilities), which in turn you can divide this by the number of outstanding shares to get the book value per share.

All public US companies are required to file with the SEC and you can find all those filings here:
