Is there a type of bank account that I can start for my son that I cannot touch for like five or ten years?

Answers: A CD with a bank comes to mind. Also, you can open up a 529 college savings plan that will grow tax-deferred and can be withdrawn tax-free for college expenses only.
Term bank deposits are for a fixed number of years and pay higher interest.

You will have to search to find the term (years) you want and the best interest.

How investing and stocks work?

im only 16 but i wanna know if what i feel it is is right

so when you invest in stocks , merely say you invest within stocks for a restaurant with five other relations do you get 1/5 of the profit of that restaurant. So thats what i believe it is can you report me if that is right, i enjoy been buying and selling article since i was ten and i own made about 10,000 dollars so can i invest this into a stock and clear a profit out of it

Answers: What you described is more of a profit sharing plan. Buying stocks has profusely more to do with supply and constraint than profits, although profits are one factor that influence the supply and demand of the stock. It's awesome to see you enjoy an interest at 16, you're definitely ahead of the curve by a few years. I strongly suggest you drop by Investopedia, it's a website devoted to investor education. Make sure to check out some of the tutorials the site have to offer, it will back you understand what stocks are, and how you be paid money by investing in them. I enjoy also included a link to The UpDown, a website which allows you to invest a virtual portfolio, initially worth $1,000,000. This site is a great means of access for you to practice before you hop into the real item to make sure you get the drift how the market works. Best of adjectives, the site pays you real money should your virtual portfolio outperform the bazaar. Lastly, I have included a cooperation to Yahoo! Finance, which provides much of the research information you will need. The site works great as a complement to Investopedia. These three sites will allow you to swot how the stock market works, while virtually investing, beside no risk, on The UpDown in companies that you researched on Yahoo! Finance using some strategies found on Investopedia.

If you are looking to brand a cash profit, I would suggest spending some time study about dividends, namely stocks near high dividend payouts, as this is nearly as close to what you described (the restaurant example) as you get surrounded by the stock market.

Best of luck!
