Where would i stir to invest money to be precise protected next to a low percentage of losing it?
i have in the order of 1000.00 i would like to start a vacation/ emergency fund for my relatives, but i don't have a clue how to progress about doing thatAnswers: Mutual funds or include another 100 dollars and buy 2 shares of G00GLE. That is a pretty solid stock and you will get apt returns on it. By the end of the year it will be at 750 a share. Right very soon it is 535 a share.
There are generally two places to invest money: a wall, or a stock broker.
Since you don't want to take the risk of losing it, and you plan on spending the money soon (a year or two, instead of 30 years from now), a stock broker is a fruitless choice. That means you stipulation to put the money in the mound.
What you do in the edge depends on whether the money is an emergency fund or a vacation fund. You involve to decide.
For an emergency fund, a checking commentary is good, and if this is your individual emergency fund, I wouldn't even do that. Take the $1,000, get ten $100 bills, and put it within a picture frame. Get it engraved: "In Case of Emergency, Break Glass", and then store it in the pay for of the closet.
For a vacation fund, a dune CD is best.
disc = Certificate of Deposit.
The bank will pay cheque you a higher interest rate, contained by return for your promise that you will not touch the money for a specific length of time.
Since you need liquidity since it could be an emergency fund, I cannot recommend a compact disc. Your best bet is a traditional money market rationalization or even an internet bank.
You can dance to bankrate.com to see the current rates and restrictions.
Your timing is bad near all the feed fund cuts, but you may be able to attain a little over 3% next to zero risk of loss of funds.
surrounded by my opinion -
when i want to enjoy quick access to the money and enjoy low/no risk - i use an fdic insured cd or high interest nest egg account (ingdirect and they endow with you a $25 bonus if you use a referral link - this is only just one example, there are several more)
if i am trying to make for a while more but am willing to thieve some risk, i prefer etf's - exchange traded funds (they trade like stocks but they are diversified close to mutual funds with smaller number restrictions and fees (e.g. some mirror the dow or S&P - dia or spy).

Poor-friendly stock traders?
I am currently in college, and looked-for to get some money into the stock flea market. Granted, we are not talking alot of money. 50 a month or something, newly some to slowly get me started. Is near any way I can certainly do this without paying huge dues to the broker? Any individual websites that are friendly to those in my situation? I looked at E-trade, but they are somewhat expensive it seem. Or am i just out of luck until i own more disposable income?Answers: There is a good site call www.buyandhold.com, you arent charged fees for trades, rather a montly levy of i think almost $15. If you just want to put away $50 a week, this the best item. They have three trading a window a day, but if you arent playing the ticks, this is upright option.
You should look at DRIP's Here is a relation the explains what a DRIP is and now to invest.
