Alright I'm intending to use etrade to start buying and selling stocks. I don't intend to keep anything long possession. I am doing tons of research now and not jump into anything head on.So when I do things on etrade how long does it pocket for me to actually win the stock I am purchasing? This is all electronic right? No want to wait for any manner of papers?
Are there approach to purchase stock cheaper then the asking price?
How is this tax. "I come out ahead," though many will enunciate other wise and I don't maintain things for the long term, how much will I be paying off? In theory let say I web a profit (theoretical number) of 10k in a year, how much of explicitly going to be taxed?

Answers: For short trade you are taxed at your income rate. Stocks held more than a year are income gains. You do not acquire stock certificates unless you request them. As soon as your mart goes through, your sketch will show possession of the stock. Remember when you file your taxes you want to report every single trade, which can be a pain.
