Uncirculated U.S. Mint Presidential Dollar Coins as an Investment?

I was on the U.S. Mint's website and you can buy them by $25.00 rolls. Under George Washington it will own D or P. That stands for Denver Mint and Philadelphia Mint. Behind the name George Washington it have (GW4) or behind James Madison it is (JW3). I know these stand for George Washington and James Madison but what does the number stand for?

Thanks.

Answers: That is the catalog number, I believe.
