Answers: Public utilities, gold, intuitive resource stocks, TIPS (treasury inflation protection securities) and real estate are traditional hedge against inflation. However one could argue that none of these look terribly attractive within light of recent gain. Treasury I Bonds are quite attractive. I believe the current 6 months floating verbs is 6%(annual rate). The higher the consumer price index, the greater the concede. They are also tax deferred until cashed contained by and State tax exempt.
Well traditionally TRUE estate as been a moral hedge against inflation, but the valid estate market is so doomed to failure that it would take some guts to start immediately. I do think we will so some inflation down the road rather ways but I don't think double digits is around the corner. I construe it would be wise to invest surrounded by companies with overseas ties approaching you suggest. I would also like agriculture plays surrounded by this environment.
