Can't however access $ acocunt, but want to invest it within GOLD!?

Not going to get too detailed.
Basically my kith and kin has a mound account that's be growing over the years, I don't think it's surrounded by my name but it's one of those funds that they paw over to you when you're 21 or something...
anyway, I have be wanting to invest in gold ingots for years and I'm only 18 very soon with little money myself, I am pretty sure the dollar is unresponsive now and I hold no faith surrounded by this crazy corporate hollowed out country..
I want to invest in physical gold ingots, is there any path for me to access this money and do this - or is there any place I can enjoy my family be in motion to, to invest the account's $ into GOLD?
The account is within the $xx,xxx so it's a serious ammount, and I'd want to be sure to steer clear of scams.
