Whenever I get interested contained by checking out a company listed on the stock marketplace, I seem to enjoy difficulty finding their symbol...like the symbol for Sainsburys for instance is SBRY .
Does anyone know the easiest path or where to find out a company`s symbol please. Is near a list anywhere on the net?
Answers: Most stock research sites will have a symbol lookup factor where you can of late type in the autograph of the company, and it will give you the symbol. I agree, the tickers can sometimes be a bit arbitrary (who would ever guess that Southwest Airlines would be LUV?), but the lookup side is helpful.
Go to www.ft.com and at the top of the webpage at hand is a search box call 'Quotes'. Type the company name into the box, and it will bring up the comany christen and the stock market 'ticker' symbol.
If you afterwards click on the company name, you will know how to get a stock quote and chart the price motion.
