To cover this up, the odds of conquering have be reduced to from 24,000:1 to 22,000:1 but the chances of successful a prize other than lb50 or lb100 own been halve. So, although you stand a better chance of victorious a small prize ( a holding of lb1,833 should win once a year) the chances of unbeaten something useful is nominal and that is not what premium bonds are just about. It is probably better to buy a Northern Rock bond paying 6%!
