How to become Investment Banking Analyst??

What do you need?MBA or CFA?How Hard is it to procure CFA?

I would resembling to start investing my Iraq deployment money...how does an amateur start ?

Answers:   I'm currently retired, but have run an investment bank area and own hired investment banking personnel.

Here's what I would consider the wonderful candidate coming out of academy with no actual investment bank experience,

o A bachelor's degree, preferably a master's scope
o Courses heavy surrounded by finance, investments, maths, statistics, etc. In other words, the "tough" courses.
o The degree must be from a college or university beside a good reputation for their business program
o High class ranking surrounded by college.
o No interest in those individuals who lately "got by" or took lone the "crib" courses.
o Strong computer skills, with excellent fluency of a spreadsheet program (not just count columns, but an understanding of the more advanced capabilities).
o Excellent writing and math skills
o Strong logical reasoning
o Well-dressed, confident, articulate, particularly ambitious
o A history of extracurricular activities, hobbies, and/or interests that are consistent next to the desired skills mentioned above
o The ability and keenness to do whatever it take in expressions of time commitment to be successful. 9 to 5'vers will rarely, if ever, succeed surrounded by the investment banking world.
o CFA would not be a requirement.

Final Note: Investment bank is a very tough job path to pursue. However, if successful, investment bank can be extremely rewarding, both financially and personally.

Pass rate is 30% (or so) and specifically not of people who feel like giving it a run - only serious those begin the CFA program.
