Investing Questions and Answers

Is it worth investing contained by VIETNAM DONG currency?

Question:
what are the pros and cons?

Answer:
If you are really interested in investing within Vietnam, invest instead in a Vietnam mutual fund. There are two that I know of.

Traded on the pink sheets. VNMHF Vietnam Holdings LTD. $2.65 a share.

VTOPF Vietnam Opportunity Fund. $3.85 a share.

Both are extremely lightly traded so if you do hold the hankering, put in a constraint bid not a market bid so you will not be unpleasantly surprised.

Both are speculative to read out the least, but better than a currency bet.

Both are English Funds but both are available to U S investors.

Your probability of making money is much better using this route than investing contained by the currency. By investing in the funds, you are investing contained by hopefully money making Vietnamese companies.

What stock pays the absolute dividends at the lowest price?

Question:

Answer:
That's a dangerous combination. High dividend let go may indicate a company in trouble that isn't going to be capable of sustain that dividend payment.
No stock is guaranteed to return the top amount. There are so many out here, and it all depends on what you want. In the long run, you are probably safest going beside a mutual fund which will bring a 10-18% return each year, but is safest if you are going to keep hold of it invested for several years, as the returns are not immediate.

If the money is something you wouldn't miss if you lost it, you can try investing it within one or two companies that you think will bring a big return. With this method though, you risk losing the money totally, and it is most beneficial if you study the company before foot, not just the stock history. How the company is doing, and what their bazaar is projected to do is generally a perfect indicator of whether or not the stocks will go up. I can deem of several companies that have gone from 60.00 a share over the final year down to less than 2.00 a share and eventually closed their doors. There are merely as many of these stories, but for more, than the reverse story of stocks going from 2.00 to 60.00.

what is your advocate to initiate sharemarket buisness?

Question:

Answer:
Congratulations on getting started. It’ll help you more than you know!

Your first dollars should be spent on getting learned on investing. You don't have to train to trade them professionally, but we are conversation about your adjectives here. So the more you learn, the more it'll serve you! So let's start there.

You ask a extraordinarily broad question, so be prepared for a pretty long answer. Just lug it in chunks!

How to invest depends on what you already know. We'll assume that you're outset.

A good primer is How to Make Money surrounded by Stocks by William O'Neil. You can get it cheap a short time ago about anywhere. It’s widely available current or used.

Another good one is one of Jim Cramer's books approaching Real Money (he’s got a few).

But books will merely get you so far. At some point, you'll also want to find at least a short time training. There are some great education companies if you want to receive the investment. Investools.com or optionetics.com are both very honourable companies as is tmitchell.com

For free, you can start by visiting thestreet.com and investopedia.com. That'll catch you a pretty good primer so at least possible you'll understand what the market are and what a stock is, etc.

If you get a luck, watch Mad Money on CNBC. Don't trade any of his picks until you track heaps of them over time. Just use the show to get you to appreciate some basics and take a feel for the souk itself.

Next, subscribe to something like Investorsbusiness day after day or something like that that can give a hand you identify good stocks.

Once you construe stocks, go to 888options.com. It's a website that'll relief you understand option (what they do, how they work, etc). You don't need to trade them, but the more you know, the more you'll see how option can really be the safest way to invest (once you're educated).

For discipline (which is crucial to successful trading), probably Trading contained by the Zone by Mark Douglas or Mastering the Trade by John Carter

I know that’s a LOT to absorb. Just lift it one step at a time for now. Start next to a book or two to give you an impression of where to inaugurate. Take your time, and let it drip in.

As you find up to speed, you should papertrade to practice (highly recommended). This should help mute your losses in the origination as you get used to buying/selling.

You can practice for free on almost any reputable broker site (optionsxpress, scottrade, thinkorswim, etc). And yes, you can markedly deal slickly online.

Start slow, then as you integer things out, you can buy more shares.

Congrats again on getting started. If you have any question, please let me know.

Hope this help!

Best advice that anyone will offer you is to Invest for a long term. That is what share flea market was supposed to be. It become a place of risk with adjectives the buying/selling/trading that started in the ultimate 30-40 years.

Buy and Hold is how people enjoy made money. People still make a great deal of money. Warren Buffet is a king of the stock market. $10,000 invested near him in 1963 is worth $50M today!! He have one new pick per year. He buys it and never looks at it for months. You can find his most recent story and interview on CNBC.com. It is a great story to read and make you wonder. He lives in a town far away from Wall Street and does not remuneration attention to the Dow or Nasdaq.

Good luck.

I want to cram how to stock.?

Question:
I'm thinking of starting stock. I don't know anything about it. Can any one relieve me with info. and relation site or book that i can study?

Answer:
I am not exactly certain what your cross-examine means. Are you interested surrounded by investing in stocks or are you interested within speculating in stocks or does the press actually refer to another aspect?

For speculators and I might include also for investors too, the book "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets" by John Murphy is a good read.

For a outset investor and also a beginning speculator, "Investing for Dummies" is worth the price, roughly speaking $12.00 on Amazon. At least next to the book you will get a serious understanding of the process.

Here is a contact to an interesting site dealing with logical market analysis.

Has anyone hear of Emerald Bay Resources - EBY on TSX -?

Question:
If so what do you recommend. I have some but they hold dropped lots.

Answer:
I've heard of the company, but don't really know too much in the region of them. Without knowing more about the company, I can't really donate good proposal. However, I'd be inclined to hold onto the stocks for a while. Alot of stocks on the TSX enjoy been going through some "correction" lately. What hold their latest finacial results be like? Are they losing tons of $$$? Do their adjectives prospects look good?

can anyone narrate me adjectives nearby is to know going on for shares and its and its dividends?

Question:
I want to but into a company's shares, but I'm completly ignorant on this issue.

Answer:
The total merit of a company is divided by the number of shares they wish to issue. eg lb1m will split into 1million lb1 shares. They might travel on sale, if a company is doing powerfully for lb1.25 each. This means of access a company raises money for expansion etc. Assuming adjectives are sold then they craft lb250,000. Then over the following months or years, if the company does well the helpfulness on the share market of the shares might increase to lb1.50. You can later sell them at a profit or droop on to them in baggage they increase further. Once a year if the company is doing well they will discharge a dividend based on the number of shares you hold. It could be 10pence per share. If you hold 500 shares you will procure lb50. It could be more or less per share. This amount is taxable. When you provide the shares there is commission to be compensated to the share broker. Hope this helps and the best of luck. The saw is that if you cannot afford to take a loss after do not buy shares.
yes, wikipedia can tell you

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/shares...
You can buy shrares within a company a a value. This helpfulness will change according to how resourcefully the company is doing. Didvidends are payable by most but not all companies. The dididend is a portion of the companies profits for the year.

There are prference dividends which impart a guarenteed % income

ordinary share- not gurenteed but can dispense a better income than pref dividends when company is doinf well
If you buy shares contained by a company then you own a segment of it. This means you acquire a share of the profit, and can also vote at a meeting. The efficacy of shares changes as more citizens want to own them, or goes down if nobody think the company is doing so well. You buy them from a stockbroker.

When you sort out P/E and or EPS, how do you determine if a given company have a high-ranking adequate helpfulness to invest surrounded by?

Question:
What values of P/E and EPS are acceptable? Are these values compared industry or sector by sector? Where would I move about to check EPS values overall? Would you buy a stock with a low EPS? If so, why?

Answer:
EPS is not really too prominent, unless it is negative. That is influential.

What is important is the growth rate of eps and how it relates to the PE. That is call the PEG ratio. You will find the PEG ratio listed at the Yahoo financial site for most stocks. The PEG ratio is the PE divided by the expected growth rate. A lower PEG is considered to brand name a stock a better candidate for an investment. There are however plentiful other factors to be considered. Past history of the company, executive compensation, size of the company, and as expected the validity of the expected growth rate. Many more besides.

I would buy a stock beside low eps if the price were right. Might even buy a stock next to a negative eps beneath certain circumstances. Would not touch Ford or GM though.
There is no route you can determine if a company has plus based on P/E or EPS alone. There are a great deal of macro and micro factors involved such as the adjectives prospects of the industry, current regulations in the industry, element of the management, few other financial ratio etc..

But assuming everything remains constant and we are to look at a given company, one should take a handful of companies from indistinguishable industry and calculate an average P/E and after compare it to the given company you are wanting to invest. If the P/E of your company is lower than the average there is meaning in the company and you should budge for the investment.

It is not possible to state actual values of acceptable P/E and EPS for any company contained by any industry, because markets factor contained by future returns (and other factors mentioned above) of companies, so for example if a company is expected to be paid huge profits in the compning quaters, you may see its P/E shoot up incredibly high compared to the industry average. So freshly because the P/E shot up wouldnt necessarily mean that in that is no value within the company. Hence its not correct to state acceptable values for P/E

P/E or EPS is comparable inside a particular industry just, you cannot compare these figures across different industries.

You can find financial info on companies on http://finance.yahoo.com/

Yes, I might buy a company near a low EPS, the reason anyone EPS by itself has no genuine meaning. It is the P/E ratio that puts EPS into perspective. So a company next to low EPS might have a incredibly low P/E ratio compared to its peers, and there could be good point in the company.

Also another use to invest being, that today the company may not be making as much money, but if the adjectives prospects of the company look good, after the I would invest in the company no concern what the current P/E. But again other macro and mirco factors requirement to be considered before making any edict.
P/E is used to pick up shares that sell cheap for the present when others are at greater value. This happen for some reason that we don't know why. There will be an average P/E for the adjectives stock market. If some company P/E is below this average later try it as a candidate buy after some deliberations near it's data.
EPS is a different orb game. Never buy low EPS shares it system trouble. EPS is the Net Income divided by the number of shares outstanding. This is only used as the denominator for calculating P/E not surrounded by conjunction with P/E otherwise.

I enjoy a Fidelity Investment Account and I be wondering on how I can append European Stocks?

Question:

Answer:
Fidelity has several funds that invest within European stocks.

As a previous responder mentioned FECAX is 100% European and has a suitable record.

Also FIEUX is another impressively similar to FECAX.

FIGRX is one possibility although it is not completely European, only in the order of 50%. The other is invested worldwide..

There are several ETF indexed to the European markets.

ADRU is one. DEB, IEV, VGX are other European base index funds. There are also a couple of screw ball European index funds available, but not worth mentioning.

EFA is a developed international market fund, not limited to Europe.

Many European companies are directly traded contained by the U S markets. Some on the chief exchanges. Others on the pink sheets.
Most people do this by buying ADR's (American depository receipts) of the foreign company you are interested contained by. Most foreign firms have ticker symbols lately like US companies do. You only just enter the ticker symbol, and buy the stock (for example, NOK is Nokia Corp. - Finland).
Fidelity Europe Capital Appreciation Fund - The Ten Year on this fund is 12+% and the One Year is 25+% -
Maybe the easiest way to invest foreign stocks is buying ADRs. Never the smaller number, American tax system and trade comissions will shrinking your monetary gain. Financial gain taxes in lots of European countries (except Scandinavs and Denmark) are a lesser amount of than US. In addition EUR/$ movements give another financial gain possibility.
Thats why, you can choose directly invest European markets. But how? Some multinational financial brokerage firms resembling ABN Ambro, HSBC, Goldman Sachs etc. make trouble-free to invest in foreign market. (not only stocks, also, bonds and notes)

How exactly are stocks allied to the underlying companies?

Question:
I understand that they bump up funding from the IPOs but after that how are stocks related to the companies?

Answer:
You own a true piece of the company. The market will dictate what that company is worth from daytime to day.

Your ownership entitles you to a utter in how the company is manage. You wil get a proxy statement probably annually that you can vote, and you will carry represented in indistinguishable proportion s your ownership stake. One share = one vote. You will be asked to elect a board of directors to represent your interests in corporate governance. If you own issues with how the company is run, you can return with questions put on the proxy statement for other investors to vote on.

You also attain a claim on the underlying earnings. If satisfactory shareholders demand it, the proceeds, or some portion thereof, are paid out as dividends and you are remunerated based on your proportional stake.

It is definitely, unquestionably, a true ownership stake in the underlying company.
When you purchase stock you are a slice owner in the company. Unfortunately, the company headship may run rough shod over your interests. Their personal interests many times bear precedence. One of their favorite pastimes.

If the company does well--some do and some do not--your ownership interest should increase within value. Sometimes the efficacy of your ownership interest is effected by events that hold little to do with how the company is performing.

Anadarko Petroleum Company (ticker:APC). When will it turn around?

Question:
Anadarko is the leader within off-shore oil rigs, a saught-after niche contained by the oil business. Earnings per share 8.19, P/E 5.01, selling past its sell-by date unprofitable divisions, bottoming-out stock price, and insiders buying.

The stock price is still declining, possibly correlated next to the declining price of crude grease. When will it turn around?

Any other energy stock/fund suggestions?

http://finance.G00GLE.com/finance?q=apc...

Thanks!

Answer:
APC is indeed a flawless company. Do not expect it to turn around as long as oil prices are soft however. If you hold APC, you hold to take the long belief. I do expect that 3 years from now, the stock will be considerably difficult than currently.

APC is about as perfect as it gets contained by the energy paddock. You may however want to also consider an independent refiner such as VLO. Sort of an investment in a different aspect of activeness.

However, do not put all you eggs into drive stocks. In the U S oil is a greatly politically sensitive issue. Everyone likes their SUVs too much including the round congressmen.
I work for Anadarko - don't sell your shares only just yet ;-)
