Is stock price maximization appropriate or doomed to failure for society?
Question:
Answer:
'Stock price maximization' is a hard and ambiguous residence to define. Although, across the world, it probably would be good for society, as within are many share holders who's stakes would increase surrounded by value, goal some would sell shares, thus creating financial activity.
I don't know around society, but it can be good for the stockholders, for a while. Eventually, however, traders will realize that the stock is overvalued, and the price will drop.
Good.

Does anyone know what bank around austin texas put on the market the vietnam dong?
Question:
Willing to drive a few hours to get ahold of some polymer vietnam dong, preferably from a sandbank. thanks!
Answer:
It's pretty tough to exchange VND outside of Vietnam. Larger bank and main branches will be the best sources except the Vietnam consulates and embassy. Some banks will proclaim (for lack of better terms) VND or other foreign currency for you to exchange.
Texas have a growing population of Vietnamese, and you might find exchange sources through some of the travel businesses in the Vietnamese communities of Texas.
Good luck to you!

Market Share of Internet Stock Trading?
Question:
Answer:
Huge, especially if you include online 401k accounts. There is no need to nickname a broker since you can now do everything yourself online.
Basically, I would utter online trading represents the vast majority of personal stock trades. Financial institutions would represent the remainder.
Is it really that desperate that toinvest contained by mutual funds (USAA)?
Question:
My friends recently picked up this investing book, and in a minute, even though they have not ever invested a nickle, pick on me adjectives the time for investing in mutual funds. Mine are pretty good--no nouns, low cost and my returns have be nice over the last three years. I own three, one agressive, one conservitive and an IRA. My friends quote me this book constantly--"Only 4% of mutual funds beat souk since 1985", and "Funds are a scam". Me, I have a family circle, full time job and hobbies--I really dont entail the exta time and stress sitting on Ameritrade. They are being such snobs, and its bugging the heck out of me. Are Funds that doomed to failure? Can I somehow get through my time without ever have to do stocks myself? Thanks!!
Answer:
Certainly if you have ample time and money to invest directly into stocks you can do well. But for 99% of the country that's simply not an likelihood.
In order to own a diversified well rounded portfolio you requirement equities (large cap, small bonnet, international, value, and growth) and bonds. Not masses people can diversify to that smooth. Anything less and your risk exposure is channel too high. Not solitary that if you aren't investing significant chunks of cash the transaction fees will put away you alive.
For the people short the time or the money...the mutual fund option is the simply way to move about. Certainly when balances take high ample you can put some directly into the market but not up to that time you can do so and make the transaction fees nominal.
Want them stale your back? Put 90% of your money into an S&P Index 500 fund and 10% into a Bond Fund. Then verbs to make contributions every payroll. When they ask, verbs out a sheet that has the stocks that are comprise the S&P and recount them that you are invested in these companies and are doing so near fees lower than what you could get at ANY discount brokerage house. Then when they verbs the old tired funds don't pummel the market you can utter...I'm matching the bazaar! S&P Funds mirror the market. Hence the low fees
Mutual funds are a God distribute to many ethnic group who are too busy to do the research necessary for individual stocks and bonds. Even so label sure you do your homework and get into righteous fund families that will allow you to shift your money at no duty from one fund to the other. don't do this at every whim, but on main shifts in the marketplace you will be able to conserve gain previously made by doing this. I hope you have a correct adviser. I recommend Edward Jones or Charles Scwhaab as they don't enjoy their own "in house" products to push.
you enjoy a much better chance of making money than citizens that just read a book and try to invest, you are have a professional fund manager pick your stocks for you
I can relief you for FREE just for a while.
Just adequate profits to buy a nice Mercedes Benz with brass just to shut them up!
The funniest cut is when they ask you.
How can you afford the (WHATEVER MODEL)? and you reply:
"Some of my Mutual Funds are really up this year"
They don't have to know you get help from one of the best surrounded by the World.
Top 5 Answerer.
Mutual funds help next to diversification, which always wishes to be managed if you are surrounded by single shares.
If you friends are day traders nearby is probably no talking near them as they probably think they are investing gurus.
Play it smart - buy within for the long haul. You hold it right to be in no nouns, low cost funds. Rule is that if you are less than 50 years of age, you should hold a mix of 80% stock and 20% bonds/cash.
You do have to be mindful of smaller fund families, dissemble funds, or other specialized funds as they will have greater costs associated beside them.
You would also do well to look into index funds or ETF's as their costs are even lower.
The so call market surrounded by their case is the SP 500 (tracked by SPY). Now lots mutuals will track the SP 500 and charge you for it, when you can just buy SPY which is an ETF. There is also a underhand tax you reward for being surrounded by a mutual fund that you don't pay next to ETFs. If somebody in a mutual fund sell theri shares, the others in the group hold to pay the taxes. You don't if truth be told don't see these taxes, but they do take a bite on your returns. So if You bought SPY and a Mutual Fund bought only just SPY, you would have a better return if you merely held SPY instead of the mutual fund. I've seen funds track the SP500 and their returns could be 3% different from respectively other because of fees and taxes.
I'm not qualified to answer this, but from everything I've read two rules always hold true.research and diversify !!
1) at smallest your earning something, while the 'snobby' friends bought a book near their money! Anybody who bases their view on ONE book or article is not a very erudite person
2) from what I congregate, mutual funds are a RELATIVELY secure channel to invest your money-- you DO have to hold on to an eye on them though. Keep yourself informed. They can loose money!
3) I bank/invest with USAA also-- I trust them and live subsequent door to them actually!! BUT next to that said, I wouldn't put all my eggs within one basket!! They are a great process to invest since they auto-draft from your acct each month, but ya gotta remember respectively company is only out for themselves...even if its underneath the guise of 'service', its always more or less a companies bottom line.
4)If you work for a place that offer a 401k, check that out too. Even if you dont think you'll be within that long, life have a funny way of ZIPPING by faster than you think-- you could be 100% vested since you know it.
5) CD's and various funds accounts at other banks, companies, or credit union are also VERY easy ways to invest (not the greatest of returns...but safe and sound and easy to receive out)
Best of luck !! and I'll check back to see what a more conversant person suggests --- gratefulness for the question!
Do you want to know why mutual funds do not outperform the marketplace. It is not that mutual funds are bad investments, it is a function of risk and what they invest contained by.
By market rite, people sually refer to the S&P500,a index of 500 equity securities.
Most funds, except for equity and aggressive funds invest a portion in bonds and other debt instruments. They are safer investments that equity securities. So, although the return is lower, they are safer.
Ifyou needed to outperform the market, it is jammy enough to do, but the risk is much complex. Just find a mutual fund or stock with a beta greater than one.

Is Yahoo's stock going to hit 30 soon?
Question:
Answer:
Eventually, it will surpass 30. here is a part of an article from http://ibooyah.com
A proven method of select which stock to invest in is to buy positions surrounded by companies that provide the products and services we use on a daily font. When it comes to the internet, we remain bullish on Yahoo! (YHOO). While Wall St. has unsophisticatedly given up on YHOO and rightfully so given 2006 was a outrageous year for the company, we believed 2007 could turn out to be a great year. Here are some reasons we believed YHOO is worth your time: verbs at http://ibooyah.com
I think it will surrounded by 3-6 months, but not sooner unless all tech stocks run on a tear.
Try China Mobile (CHL). I regard it's a good play on China's expanding reduction and also a good dividend play. Look at it's P/E compared to Yahoo, you will close to what you see.
Good Luck
Yes.
I would not bet the rent on YHOO hitting 30 in smaller quantity than six months from now. If you look beyond the charts and can have a handle on why the re-organization took place, you will have to interrogate what the base for the stock is going to be, effective term. Don't be surprised if returns stay the same or drop below expectations surrounded by the first quarter of 2007. If that happens, the stock will probably enjoy to grow 20% or better to reach your target. I recommended selling rotten the position last month when I saw that Filo David (co-founder) dumped more than a 160,000 shares. Keep an eye on web-based techs within the meantime.

Question:
I looked into http://www.econsumer.gov to report something but were can I capture dispute service like ebay have? Any free ones?
Answer:
To dispute what, where? There are the other adjectives sources like sending a message to the Better Business Bureau, or maybe calling the local TV station for the reporter that does those things in the region of bad businesses contained by the area. Then too, nearby are state and local government agencies that sometimes look into things. In Missouri, New York, and other states here are very live public officials that love to hear roughly businesses that do bad things. Ask around at the local (city or county) prosecutor's office--when you progress complain about something, they will usually say aloud something like, "We don't do things approaching that, but you might try"
how do I check company information for an LLC?
Question:
I want to check on an investment company - not just their own net site.
Answer:
If you know the state in which the company is registered, you can walk to the state's corporation division and look up information on officers, registered agents and operating/mailing address. That is, if the state has public paperwork available online. For a fee, you could use Dun & Bradstreet at www.dnb.com.
Hope this help...
Go to your state's corporations division website. You'll be able to look up LLC information base on name.
Go to the Secretary of State website for the state that they are contained by and check them out there.
Start beside the Better Business Bureau. You might want to contact the IRS to see if you can get any information explicitly disclosed to the public or ask if they know where to look into for investment purposes. You may have to resort to an investment advocate.

Question:
I started using sharebuilder.com and noticed that my fees for purchasing two stocks be $8.00. I'm new to the souk and I had with the sole purpose put $80 in to start off with. That would suggest my stocks need to build $8.00 before I start getting any profit. I hear about firsttrade.com and BuyandHold.com also. I've see a few threads but I'm wondering if anyone has have noticed smaller fees beside one more than another.
Answer:

Try http://ibooyah.com - the site contains freee stock analysis and their picks have be right on the money.
Scottrade charges only $7.00 USD.
I would lolly out and transfer that money to "scott trade". I hold had zilch but pleasant experiences with them for solely $7 a buy or sell.
