Does anyone own a righteous agency to variety money on stocks? Any links for trading @ low/zero fees?
Question:
Just looking for an additional source of income or approach to supplement income. I've seen some fitting stocks @ low prices from the pro's but donot have a trading/buying conception.
Answer:
I think the best style to make money surrounded by the stock market is to study what the best traders are buying and selling and why. You can find this information at http://www.top10traders.com - this is a free site that let you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 surrounded by "play" money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks execute compared to other investors. You can read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing concept. There is a charting feature, so you can see how your portfolio perform compared to the S&P 500. Also, you can create your own "group" so that you can see how you are doing compared to your friends.

Good luck.
You are more likely to bring in money buying ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) or mutual funds. Buying individual stocks is more like having a bet, even if you own great companies. The "pros" make too heaps bad call. They are often route off next to their recommendations.
I enjoy used 2 different trading companies and I have found that www.sogoinvest.com is the cheapest and easiest. They merely charge $3 per trade and have no sign up or monthly fees. In adding together, their user interface is extremely user friendly.
Try interactivebrokers.com, which has fees as low as $1/trade, if you are looking to actively trade stocks. If you enjoy enough money and time, you can buy individual stocks. But you would enjoy to buy about 5-10 stocks, b/c you necessitate to stay diversified in covering one of your companies implodes. You would also have to spend abundantly of time following your companies earnings reports and also worldwide financial conditions that would affect your company. Otherwise, it's easier and less work to buy mutual funds or etf's within increments, say every 2 weeks. This is call dollar cost averaging, and is a tried and true method of investing. This ensures you attain a good average price, and that you will meeting the market's performance. I one-sidedly do a combination of DCA and trading.
Do not try playing penny stocks. This is done by professional day traders who examine the market every second of every hours of daylight. They use many tools and are particularly well studied surrounded by the area of trading. Also avoid the Futures flea market. This is where the Big Boys and Girls play. When I say-so big I mean billion dollar accounts. Stick near Index mutual funds or ETF's. Have low fees and track the market. Maybe a importantly rated Morningstar growth or meaning mutual funds.
There's an old aphorism which goes: If you want to produce a small fortune in the stock open market, start with a huge one!
I would suggest you to check the website http://money-review-site.com/shares.html...

XM radio and Sirius radio merge.?
Question:
If i but 100 shares of XM radio (XMSR) tomorrow morning, will I get 4.6 shares of Sirius Radio(SIRI)? XM Radio shareholders will receive 4.6 shares of SIRI.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070219/ap_o...
Answer:
I don't deduce this is a good move any way. I intuitively think you'd be much better past its sell-by date putting your money behind Verizon as they are expanding into several other nation such as Venezuela (communist country) which goes to show the depth of their influence. If you're looking to place money within the telecom services, this would be my bet. Of course, I'm always looking long occupancy.
It is to early to inform watch the SEC FILINGS close.
IF the merger take place, you will recieve 4.6 shares of sirius for each XM stock you will own, which will be 460 shares of sirius. The keyword is IF the merger take place, and its too early to narrate as they do have to loaf for FCC approval
100 is way too much speculation right in a minute on this announcement (which suprised the hell out of me) and that 4.6 shares is in interrogate experts have it at a lofty 3 range.
As for the FCC nearby is a report on MSN that they MAY allow this to happen.
I get an order for 10 tommorrow get the impression it out see where it go.

You requirement to learn capitalization, punctuation, and sentence structure. Most business people will not gamble away their time with someone who can't speak and write properly. Most young-looking people do not realize how defectively their poor language make them look. It isn't cool, it is ignorant.
Same point with tattoos and piercings. Most successful business folks consider that low class.
I know that young those do not believe that, but it is true. Sorry, but you need to know some things if you are going to draw together those goals.
How going on for my becoming your agent so I can get 10% of that. It isn't that much, but I could survive on it by adjectives back on my expenses.

Does Delta stocks own any pro ?
Question:
What are the chances the "old" shares will preserve any pro if
a) company is overtaken by eq. USAirways
b) company goes out of business and issues new shares
Answer:
Airline stocks hold lot of adjectives due to increasing globalization. Some have predicted a boom within the airline stocks similar to internet stocks, back contained by '99. Delta is a good stock surrounded by value.
i own a stock and the meaning increases, but i don't really cause money unless i get rid of the stocks, right?
Question:
Answer:
I have to hold issue with the other responders. It is not that they are wrong nearly making money, it is that everything is not so simple as that.
It is true that you do not make money that you can turn to another purpose minus selling. But the fact that the stocks hold become woth more does add to your richness. And is it better to hold raw currency that inflation is drinking away at, or to have the currency invested surrounded by a growing asset? Most people but possibly not all would answer the latter.
Another consideration is the import tax consideration. If you sell the stock and steal your profit, a portion of that profit is taken from you by the governments. But is you do not trade, the governments bear nothing and the money can verbs to grow.
My position is that you do make money lacking selling the security. In reality you make more money by not selling than by selling assuming that the money is invested contained by a growing company.
Yes, you have to market them to make $. Keep them for over 1 year so the taxes are smaller amount. (Long term vs. short residence gains.)
Of course, you involve to sell it to product money out of stocks that have increased contained by value.
Well yes u hold to sell the stock to catch the cold hardcash but your networth increases when the value of stock increase.
stop asking this query, you've asked this repeatedly. It's not even remotely compelling or interesting, so why do you keep posting it?
No involve to sell adjectives
just put on the market part so u gain profit & same capital remain invested
monitor buy sell signal on aptistock freeware
With for a moment research and study you could learn more roughly speaking the market and how you could go options on the stock you own. (If your stock is optionable)
It have taken about a year since we settled to learn almost the market. We combined a local group and have swot up about investing within the market and the lots different way to be in charge of or leverage your money with option. There's allot of websites on the Internet that could be helpful. Many culture day trade and some buy stocks to develop an investment portfolio that can grow over time once they hold learned to get by it correctly. Many online brokerages offer low fees and software for your use and research. You must study first since investing and practice with a broadsheet account nought is guaranteed but by using advanced investing techniques one can protect themselves. Good luck
That is a adjectives, but not totally correct belief. A sound company will grow and increase both surrounded by value and within the amount of dividends paid out. It would be more accurate to utter that you have made money, but that money is still at risk.
Right.
Unless the stock pays dividends, logically.
your net worth increases, but you don't own "spendable" funds until you sell.
I want to buy stock/share for $700 long occupancy investment?
Question:
Can Anyone let me know, Because I want buy the stock for long permanent status investment, I am thinking to buy walmart stock.
Please let me know the sugestion, I dont approaching to trade, I want to keep it for 2-3years.
Which stock that are pious that 2-3 years investment.
Answer:
Seven hundred dollars, while it might seem to be plentifully, isn't. You can't get into the team game with that stake. Further, long residence in the stock marketplace is ten to twenty years. That's based on the conventional knowledge that the market hasn't "lost" surrounded by any ten year period contained by modern time. May I suggest that if you are adamant around WalMart for three years that you consider using http://www.foliofn.com/index.jsp... that would allow you to get surrounded by and out without person eaten alive. Don't bring back me wrong, just because you can do something doesn't kind it a good conception to do it. I'd suggest a CD until you cram more and have more.
2-3 yrs is not a long residence investment, its a CD
Just to donate though, I am certainly not against investing contained by stocks. But you must understand that 2-3 yrs is not considered a long permanent status in the world of investing. If you really want contained by on stocks, you must 1st, increase your time horizon. Anything under 5-7 yrs is short permanent status. & $700 is not large ample to have a fair, & diversified portfolio for that time frame. If you must invest like that, do mutual funds, EFTs or something approaching sharebuilder.com that alows small regular purchases.
Ok, first mistake. Trying to get into the marketplace wiht $700. Fees will eat up most/all of your profits. Better to do as the other poster say and buy a CD.
As for the Walmart stock...If you would hold bought that stock with your $700 3 years ago you would own lost about $70 (not including fees). Look outside the box...buy local smaller companies. At least possible those are companies that you read about constantlythe walmarts and microsofts of the world stopped appreciating surrounded by stock value long ago! if you want the home run you own to A) invest more money and B) invest in a smaller company. Both are risks you own to be willing to formulate. And if you think long possession is 2-3 years, I simply don't see how you can risk it. Better to diversify into an index fund. Lower risk with wearing clothes returns...
You may be more interested in purchasing an exchange traded fund (ETF). These types of funds are similar to mutual funds, but are traded on the stock marketplace. They are generally safer and enjoy a decent return, better than a cd. Powershares have a pretty decent test, so if you look them up in Yahoo stock screener, you can see what is available. You will probably want to purchase it through a discount broker similar to Scottrade. That will minimize the amount of commissions that you are paying. You will have to transact over the internet, but that's not a crucial deal. I enjoy invested about $800 near them and have done relatively well. Good luck near your efforts.
It's probably not a apposite idea to put adjectives of your eggs in one picnic basket. You should diversify. If retail or Wal-Mart takes a dive, you could lose some money. With simply $700 to invest, diversifying in the flea market will cost to much money (with trading fees) in relation to what you own to invest. Wait until you have more money to invest and consequently you can buy Wal-Mart as part of a fair portfolio. Until then, hold on to your money in a money souk or a CD. A bond or a mutual fund might work too but you'll own to do some research first.
Anybody know of trading contests that use simulated accounts, for futures, foreign exchange, or equities?

what investment avenue allows the most compunding?
Question:
in jargon of a 401k or a IRA account, things of that make-up. I was looking for an story with the most potential for compounding. Please overrun me in if you can...
Answer:
Most compounding comes from the investments giving you the absolute rates of return every year. All you can do is find good funds (regardless of any account) that have the potential to give honourable returns year after year.
If you are concerned about the levy affects, then pre-tax abiding avenues like 401k, IRA manifestly are the better choices over the post-tax savings because your toll savings are also compounded over that interval.
Good luck.
The degree of compounding results from what you put IN the vindication, not what type of account it is. IRAs, 401-k's, adjectives of those are good, but the high-status thing is to choose the right type of investments. In that context, probably the IRA is better, because it usually allows more choices than most 401-k's do.
Probably the best thing will be to invest contained by stocks. I prefer international stocks these days.
They adjectives ALLOW compounding. The only entity that WILL compound is an interest paying investment, like a disc, money market, money account. Stocks & mutual funds dont recompense interest, they pay dividends. Technically, they dont compound, they reinvest. Even though bonds reimburse interest, they normally dont reinvest it, they of late pay it out.
So, if adjectives you are looking for is compounding, that is it. It will not situation the vehicle that you use to get it, because the reason TYPE itself does not determine the allowing of compounding or not.
There should be no compounding in a 401k/Ira as here should be no cds or other bank instruments. ADX PEO EWA EFA. Invest & you will put together money.
What is Alpha and Beta when conversation in the region of Mutual funds risk?
Question:
Answer:
Alpha - Measure of risk-adjusted performance. An alpha is usually generate by regressing the security or mutual fund's excess return on the S&P 500 excess return. The beta adjust for the risk (the slope coefficient). The alpha is the intercept. Example: Suppose the mutual fund has a return of 25%, and the short-term interest rate is 5% (excess return is 20%). During one and the same time the market excess return is 9%. Suppose the beta of the mutual fund is 2.0 (twice as risky as the S&P 500). The expected excess return given the risk is 2 x 9%=18%. The actual excess return is 20%. Hence, the alpha is 2% or 200 principle points. Alpha is also known as the Jensen Index.
Beta - The judge of a fund's or a stock's risk in relation to the flea market or to an alternative benchmark. A beta of 1.5 means that a stock's excess return is expected to move 1.5 times the souk excess returns. E.g., if market excess return is 10%, later we expect, on average, the stock return to be 15%. Beta is referred to as an index of the systematic risk due to general open market conditions that cannot be diversified away.
Remember that Alpha and Beta will change from publication to publication. A&B can vary a lot depending if you are looking at a 1 year, 2 year, 5 year, or even a 2 week history.
If a mutual fund (or stock) have a lucky year 3 years ago, and the last 2 prior years be average years, then their A&B are going to be glorious, if the A&B look back at lowest possible 3 years. However, if a financial publication only looks vertebrae 2 years, then the A&B will be much lower.
It can be strictly subjective, but it can be a decent tool surrounded by determining which stocks and funds tend to be more or less volitile.
Who would you progress to purchase gold ingots bullion & bullion coins at the cheapest price?
Question:
I believe that the U.S. dollar will lose value to the Euro. Thus, I am seriously point of buying gold/silver/platinum bullion as well as bullion gold ingots coins (NOT collectible gold coins) as a evade. Therefore, I am looking at which U.S. gold supplier (e.g. Goldline International, Lear Financial, et. al.) offer the BEST deals.
Answer:
I'm sure there's more, but here are a couple coin and bullion sites I've be looking at recently (no actual experience on the other hand, but they seem honestly low-cost, plus they purportedly will buy coins from you at spot prices, thus saving you the hassle of have to go to a coin broker and possibly getting hosed).
http://www.onlygold.com/
http://www.ajpm.com/htbin/gold.cgi...
http://www.nwtmintbullion.com/index.php...
Be careful, though, because no buyer has any necessity to buy your coins back, at any price. Remember, they are within it to make money, and they do that by buying coins at reduced price, consequently selling at marked up price, after buying back at reduced prices, etc. etc.
Even if gold ingots goes up to, voice, a thousand dollars an ounce or more, dealers may a short time ago close their "buy" windows for a while until prices cool bad a bit. That's what happened pay for in '80 or '81, when gold ingots shot up to about 850 US dollars an ounce. You singular had a thing of weeks or actually a short time ago days to unload gold at those glorious prices, but even then, not every broker was within a hurry to buy from you at those prices. So, just remember "caveat emptor" - agree to the buyer beware.
BTW, unless you're an expert, you're right to steer clear of the collectible-type coins, they are a waste of money from an investment standpoint, though some of the 20-dollar St. Gaudens as very well as the recessed Indian Head golds are certainly elegant to look at, so you might want to own a few just to impress your friends.
One more point: even with bullion coins, build sure you get extremely verbs and scratch-free coins (this is especially true of Canadian Maple Leaves, which are pure fine gold (.9999 purity) and can chisel easily). Many dealers will use any little mark as an excuse to knock the buy-back price down 10 or 20 bucks a coin. They often times won't inform you that, though, when they go to deal in you that very same coin How convenient!
The gold-based ETF's are a well-mannered and convenient (read: LIQUID) way to play gold ingots, as are select mining shares and metals funds. Too many to cross here, so I guess I'll save that for another thread. LOL
*Note nearly your stuff getting stolen or lost: store your precious metals in a undisruptive deposit box and you will gain at least a trustworthy amount of peace of mind as to their safety.
Good hours of darkness, and good luck. Col. Kurtz.
Stuff within my possession can be stolen or lost. Try the Ishares ETF for gold, IAU or SLV (silver).
the most similarities between stock marketplace and solid estate open market?
Question:
Answer:
Both has buyers and seller the most visible similarity. Then it can be both an Auctioning process where on earth there is a bid and asked price.
