Does anyone own any apposite lead on some over the counter stocks?
Question:
In the past I own gotten some really good tips on OTC stock, but immediately I don't know which ones to buy. Any suggestions.
Answer:
Spend the whole weekend and research Phoenix
Ticker symbol PBLS.
at most minuscule do a minimum of 8 hrs doing due diligents on this company. They have more than most AMEX companies and is selling at 1 penny. They will report their form 10 with the SEC rash 2007. I have be researching this company for 1.5 years.
Best bet for the price on the planet.
As for good ones, I don't know. But you might appropriate a look at NNVC, Nanoviricide. It has be on a downward trend, but they've got a couple of drugs on avian flu that they cooked up near the help of the Vietnamese affairs of state. I caught the ride up from obscurity with a phenomenally pleasing proft, the open-handed of thing that make one look at these fringe stocks, the stuff that compensates for a pile of losers. I'm not saying it will do that again, but if they do own the good drugs they not long reported, then you would see yourself later if you didn't at most minuscule look at it.
Mariculture (MCUL) is a seemingly iffy proposition that could be had really cheap. It isn't going to flimsy the house on fire without beating about the bush, but they have an excellent mariculture (fish farming) modular system that can solve closely of the fish farming tribulations and make some folks some suitable money in the not too distant adjectives when the world's fisheries are a little closer to depletion. Check out their Sargo product at the interconnect below. Right now I come up with they are just running their own fish farm but would be happy to give support to others build theirs. (the trick is a self-contained, floating fish run where they filter out the harsh environment, toss in the nurture and keep a current running so the fish hold their muscle tone, all of these are issues next to many fish farms)
Remember, these things (the in one piece class of securities not on the formal exchanges) are really, really risky, so don't bet the farm on them, okay?

How does compounding interest work?
Question:
I don't understand how compounding interest works. If interest is compounded day after day on say, $1000, at a 5% interest rate, and posted monthly to the set off, how much would the monthly interest be??
Answer:
compounding interest means that you grasp interest on both the interest earned as all right as the original amount.
if your example is base on a 5% annual percentage rate, then that system if you put in $1000 and don't touch it for a full year, you will hold $1050 after 365 days. if that is compounded on a day by day basis, later the equivalent daily percentage rate is 0.013368%± (0.00013368±) and after 30 days your $1000 would hold turned into $1003.88.
when you talk interest rate, you hold to be specific on the definition. if you're compounding at 5% per day, after 30 days that $1000 will turn into over $4100 and after a year over $51 billion! rather a difference between 5% a year...
the first month should be just over 4 bucks, 4.18 i feel, it will go up a touch the next month because that money make money as well, and more the subsequent month, and so on and so on, keep doing that for 30 years or so and after you can retire
(with more than 1k and hopefully more than 5%)
Are you just idle? The way you ask the ask indicates you know exactly how it works, else why would you specify "compounded daily" and posted monthly? You can get any Algebra 2 schoolbook and look up the formula. However, compound interest is relatively unimportant for short permanent status investments, and so is how often it is compounded. The 1st month interest is slightly more than 1/12 of $50 because you acquire tiny amounts every day. the second month is a bit larger etc.
The method used by American bank is as follows;
If the annual interest is, say, 5%,
the on a daily basis interest is 5/360 = 0.0139% and
the monthly interest 5/12 = 0.417%
At the end of every month, the interest due is added to your a/c to increase the go together and next month interest is calculated on the contemporary (higher) balance. So the interest salaried to you one month earns interest subsequent month
I found 2 articles that explain this so well, I'm merely gonna give you the address, so you can read them yourself.
I will only add on that compounding doesn't always work FOR you, it can also work AGAINST you. The interest you pay envelope on credit cards , for example, is compounded. So bear within mind that all the great examples you will see working within your favor can also work against you.

Where can I find on a daily basis upgrades and downgrades timetabled for the stock marketplace?
Question:
and daily bazaar moversI want real time
Answer:
There are oodles investment websites that post the daily the upgrades and downgrades from the varied equity research analysts. I prefer Zacks's (see link below).
Another site, Briefing.com (see association below), post live upgrades and downgrades of stocks by analysts at various investment bank.
While we do use terms fairly broadly, some things have some specific target. There are prominant analysts who make rankings or ratings of varied stocks. Standard & Poors is one of the biggest, then within are the prima donna analysts, Zacks, for instance, who has their own base on the formula of an individual (although by now that individual have hired a lot of part people to help). When society commonly talk of "upgrades and downgrades" they are clich¨¦ that some analyst, such as these and piles of others, has kicked a stock stale of one catagory and dropped or raised it to another. This isn't a "real-time" issue approaching the rise and fall of stock prices, commonly call the ticker. You catch this stuff by watching the websites of adjectives business news close to CNN.com/business, or wsj.com, or even Yahoo Finance, among a pile of others like Business Wire.
Is nearby anything out within better than a 6% disc? Do mutual funds/indexes endow with better returns? Risk free?
Question:
What other kind of low-risk investments are out within?
Answer:
You want to make more consequently 6% "risk free"?? You need to take that the lower the risk, the lower the return (in your case, the return is the interest rate). There is SOME volume of risk on the disc which is why they are offering you the 6%...but since the risk of the bank defaulting on the compact disc is low, they give you a low interest rate.
If you want to buy a "no risk" investment, you'll single be buying a federal savings bond. You can lolly them in after 30 days and they will other carry a dosh value. They are considered "risk free" since the U.S. parliament would have to collapse and dissolve for a money bond to default and lose total appeal.
The "risk free" aspect of a federal savings bond is the exact root that it takes 14 years or longer (depending on the feed interest rates) for the savings bond to ripened.
mutual funds should get better returns surrounded by the long run, but they are not risk free, if for some reason you obligation super low risk then stick next to cds and online savings accounts, if you be aware of like investing after pick a conservative mutual fund, one that invests in blue chip stocks or bonds, an income fund or asset preservation fund
it wont provide you as high a potential return as a growth fund or other types, but should be safer
CD's don't salary any better than what you've found at 6%. The problem with CDs are your money is locked surrounded by for the term. Many money souk accounts pay roughly speaking the same rate, may thoroughly slightly less, but allow you access to your money as needed.
Mutual funds are much better if your abiding for at least 5 years. You have need of to research and settle on 3-5 funds with pious long term track history.
Check out bankrate.com for CD and money open market rates and Morningstar.com for mutual funds.
You can get a better-than-average return next to your CD's if you use a technique called "laddering".
This is where on earth you purchase a few different CDs with different expiry period, traditionally one year apart, to combine and pay you the best rate of the year, every year. A major bonus is that you'll own access to a portion of your cash while you savour the longer-term rates.
Here are the details: http://financialbasics.blogspot.com/2006...
Good luck
Almost everything.
Best is to diversify...
However other than cd or annuity nohting is risk free.
and even cd/annuities if near a outfit that isnt healthy...(especially if next to a non-fdic outfit)

What kind of financial guarantee measures are within place to protect an online trading justification?
Question:
Answer:
Access to the account requires ID/password. Some services, close to E-Trade, offer a "key" that generate a unique (but changing) code. This funds that it's near impossible to login as someone minus having the electronic device that generate the key.
Online brokers will also track the IP address of adjectives accesses, should it be needed.

Does MAMA (mamma.com stock) enjoy any or legs departed or is it out of gas?
Question:
I did pretty well investing contained by MAMA and sold half of my stocks for a nice return. The wife I am holding on to in hopes that MAMA will draw from a second life here. Am I wasting my money or do you guess it might jump again sometime contained by the next couple weeks?
Answer:
I wouldn't unsystematic it, but that doesn't mean much. The stock have a run-up because of the video search piece. I think the recent decline is a "correction" the flea market often does when it have been excessive. Watch it slide afterwards look again when the price is several dollars lower. This is a case where on earth the chart will lead the approach because the news and financials are, while apt, much too boring for the current price and recent run-up. There may be still some money to be made on them, but you might wait a while for the subsequent swing. Mamma.com and such have some angelic stuff going (but not the name, similar to "Motley Fool", the names engender me feel stupid for using it).
I would not unsystematic it - take your profits and find some other stock unless you are a big speculator. I would see the rest of your MAMA stock or at the amazingly least put a stop loss on it.
Check out UCIO its going to progress big !

Answer:
it an over the counter bulletin board stock
These are typically smaller stocks that don't meet the more stringent requirements for book on the Nasdaq or NYSE exchanges. There are still some great stocks for sale here. Also, I would influence that since the stocks are smaller and less eminent, with some knotty word/research, you can find some real undiscovered gems. I currently own TWRT.ob, Tower Tech - they take home wind tower support structures. Here is a knit on them:

What is a correct stock to buy right presently?
Question:
Answer:
Well, do you think fatty construction and road work will be booming? Then check out Terex (TEX), they make some of those big dirt scrapers and loaders and cranes you see in highway and big building construction. They've have some good profits reports out recently and made a steady price runup, but I don't know how long that will verbs before a "correction" jog the trend. Give it a look.
Take a look at Amerisafe (AMSF). Its no rocket but seems to enjoy some good financials, check its return on equity and distinctly upward trend.
I've get some of my own money in Gateway (GTW) (in hopes that some unknown management and Christmas sale will help that number 3 domestic personal computer initiator improve its fortunes--and mine). I also enjoy some in Unisys (UIS), which have some rather steady computer services contracts and have been steadily on the way their bottom line.
Take a look, but unsurprisingly decide for your own reason. (Hint, and plan an exit strategy, both high and low)

It's not high-tech or glamorous, but I similar to Exxon. Pays a dividend, goes up every year, and not a soul seems to be selling their SUVs anytime soon. A year ago, it be at $57 a share, now it's at $77, so beside the dividend, you would have made more than 33% on your money. Not impossible, and low risk. Also, if you invest $250 with them, you can find automatic reinvestment on your dividends, buy partial shares, and you can send them $50 or more any time you want. If you other send them alike amount, you automatically buy more when it's low and less when it's big, so you get dollar-cost averaging minus having to deem about it.
If a fund have already salaried this year's dividend, you don't bring wealth gain tax if you buy contained by 2006, do you?
Question:
Answer:
If you purchase the fund after the ex divided date, you do not receive the dividend and you do not have to discharge taxes on it. Yes, now is an excellent time to buy funds. No taxes until subsequent year and then single if they have realize gains and income.
You're not tax when you buy, you're taxed when you vend.
If a fund has already salaried this year's dividend(s),(b/4 you buy it) you don't get tax for those dividends.
If a fund has already remunerated this year's capital gain (b/4 you buy it), you don't pay taxes on those CGs
Taylor
What type of fund? Mutual? Is the money tied up or do you enjoy access to it?
If you are talking roughly a dividend check that you received (meaning you DO have the funds) after you have to report the income - but you report it against the investment (since you made the purchase this year).
If you've earn more than you invested, yes, you'll have to clear taxes on it in 2006. Depending on what you do for a living and the type of investment this is will depend if it's income taxes or assets gains I believe.

Are in attendance steps I can take in a minute to limit my exposure to adjectives taxes based on my plan? Steps such as purchasing the stocks through a specific type of picture, retirement or some other type? I'm not familiar beside taxes, so bear next to me.
Answer:
Should have open a Roth IRA.
A Roth IRA is the best way you will never owe any taxes on any profits or income.
I'm an accountant. There's not much you can do in a minute about the taxability of the stocks you already own. You'll hold to pay the possessions gains duty on them. Going forward, you should put the maximum amount $4,000 single, $8,000 married, into a Roth IRA. This is an after tax contribution and adjectives future income are free from both state & federal tax. If you want to goal your taxes on future mutual fund investing, invest surrounded by a municipal bond fund. The yields are smaller number, but the earnings are also import tax free.
As a US resident how do I purchase shares of companies down on European exchanges?

You should check if the companies you are interested in trade within the US as ADRs or ADSs. If they do, you will save alot on commissions. If they don't, you involve to talk to someone on the International desk of your brokerage firm.
Yes you can. You freshly need to set up an article with a trading house, TD Waterhouse is pretty fitting, and let them know what market you want to have access to.
Open an vindication with a broker that provides access to European market. In particular, check out Interactive Brokers:
http://www.interactivebrokers.com/...
__________
The jammy way is to look for european companies timetabled on the various American exchanges. Usuallyt, they own the ADR abbreviation (American Depository Receipt), so some dune or brokerage owns the shares abroad on your behalf.
Another is shop your brokerage firms. Some trade out of the country and some don't.
