Investing Questions and Answers

will interest rates be in motion up during a recession?

Question:

Answer:
no not usually when there is a recession to stimulate the discount the fed will lower interest rates to induce companies and individuals to invest within the economy. When the feed sees that near is enough flow of dosh in the discount then it will fire up to raise rates to moderate inflation
Not with this feed. Interest rates have to be dropped surrounded by recessions to avoid depression according to current feed philosophy. This is why they have loaded their gun by raise so aggressively of late. They inevitability something to work with and they know another recession will come.
Generally speaking, interest rates be in motion down during a recession. The Federal Reserve has the most influence on interest rates. Its aim is to control inflation and economic growth. If the reduction is growing "too fast" (in other words, inflation is starting to rise), as it did during the Internet bubble, the Fed will raise interest rates to restrain economic growth and inflation - habitually causing a recession. This happen in the precipitate 1980s with Paul Volcker, who choked rotten 13% annual inflation by raising interest rates and reducing the money supply, intentionally creating the worst recession since the Great Depression.

Incidentally, most economists agree that, within the long run, inflation is deadlier to an economy than dismissal and recession.

In general, as a result, interest rates go up until that time a recession. During most recessions, assuming the Fed is run by a smart economist, the Fed will lower interest rates to stimulate business investment and consumer spending (as it did of late after the Internet bubble burst).

Eventually, the economy will start growing "too briskly," creating inflationary pressures, so the Fed will raise interest rates again to stop inflation since it even happens (something it's be doing for the past two years).

And the business cycle starts over again.

In the current flea market, long-term interest rates are at a 30-year low, as are mortgages. However, it's likely that mortgages will drop even further, as not as much of people buy houses and clutch out mortgages. It's even likely that the Fed will start adjectives interest rates and increasing the money supply in the first partly of next year, to create what's call a "soft landing" instead of a recession.
Since there is a recession, it can be assumed that the emergency for money is low. Hence the possibility of interest rates going northwards seems difficult.

Moreover, society behave in conscious mode, that is, at hand is less supply of money into market (like less of Fixed Deposits beside banks). Maybe if the situation is really bad, relatives might not put their money in an frequent Savings Account for the fear of ridge going bust. So interest rates won't go up.

However as recessionary trends start to dispel, bank try to lure customers to part near their money with sophisticated interest rates.
During a recession interest rate in nonspecific will tend to decline. This is due to the government trying to stimulate growth through smooth access to money, See Japan's interest rates over the past decade.

If your company is a publicly held one, approach the Security Market regulator in you country. Like, its SEC within USA and SEBI in India.
Only after the approavl of Stock Market regulator, you step to individual Stock Exchanges to get your company's shares scheduled on that exchange. Stock Exchange shall happily give a hand you in that situation.

But first, seek approval of the regulator.

What is the difference between funds and investments?

Question:

Answer:
Savings usually conform to a fixed interest formula. E.g. Bank of England Base Rate + a percentage.

Investments usually have a sophisticated yield base on speculation that a company or commodity will increase in importance over a given time and given conditions. E.g. Buy shares in a contemporary company at a low price because they say they own a brilliant new product that everyone will want to buy. If they are right the meaning of the company increases, so do your shares. If they are wrong, the company fails and you lose your investment.

In short, reserves are better if you can't afford to lose your money.
savings are pretty much guaranteed secure. As long as the bank they are contained by does not go belly up. Investments can be lost depending what you are investing within. Stocks, bonds. etc.
xguess (above) gave a fitting definition. Savings are generally lodged next to a banking institution and are considered not dangerous, adding interest to the funds sum there. Investments are really a back - you put some money into a fund which usually buys shares, the value of which can walk up and down. It's possible, but rare, to lose the lot!
Writing to a size savings when paired beside investment becomes an Economic science argot, in which grip savings is the amount of nest egg forming in a society surrounded by an year and investment is the amount of investment happened contained by a society that year. Ideally Savings= Investmet, otherwise discrepency in this equality can end in undesired consequences. If savings<investments then investments obligation to raise nouns from other means which will organize to hike surrounded by cost of capital and inflation and other consequneces. If savings>investments next there can be depression contained by the system along with other consequences.
In laymans language, savings is the money one save through a bank or through other vehicle of fixed income securities. Investments are the savings through financial market. The second is not a proper scaled explanation.
In financial terms investments within financial markets are sometimes considered stash.
we save to invest
surrounded by saving growth is not expected
Invest gr & risk both considered
Savings = Principal merit, per unit, is maintain. One dollar in a wall saving portrayal stays at $1 value. Increase within value is obtain by the addition of dollars through earn "interest."
Examples: Bank savings, checking accounts, CDs, money bazaar funds.
Investments = Principal value, per component, can change. "Share" (with stocks) or "unit" (with trusts) prices can and do rework daily. Increase surrounded by value is obtain by the additional of dollars (minor change) through earn "dividends" and (mostly) by increased price of each share or component. Example: Trusts, stocks, and bonds.
PS: Bonds also earn "interest" not "dividends" and if bought new and held to later life (and the issuing company is strong enough not to progress belly up) you will get your principal final. If bought second hand and/or not held to readiness, price can change.
In funds the your money stays as money in an commentary run by a bank or similar institution licensed for that purpose. The property is guarantied and you receive interest.

In investing your money is used to buy some thing else, such as property or shares etc. The wealth is not guaranteed, hence the risk is much greater and what you receive is a part of the profit or dividend or rent.

I enjoy $5000, how can I invest for in haste returns?

Question:

Answer:
Lacking the details of just what to do for a vigorous return, keep contained by mind that there is no such item as a free lunch. In order to trade name a fast return you must hold a lot of risk and/or do profoundly of work to not only find the right item to do but execute it.

Like the guy suggesting the undervalued saloon, that takes plentifully of leg work, and the guy talking in the order of hedging, etc. that will be very risky.

Remember if it be easy to cause quick money everyone would be doing it.
I invested $5000 In a hackney carriage business, I made $70,000 in two years. DID I MENTION THAT I WORKED 15 HOURS A DAY FOR 9 STRAIGHT MONTHS WITHOUT A DAY OFF? DID I MENTION THAT THERE WAS TIMES THAT I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE DOING THIS.

Everything filch work and time.
Send it to me.
I'll give you a efficient thank you by return
send it to me, I'll bear care of it adjectives..
U can buy online game's material and go it to make money ^.^
Find a 3 month disc and maybe manufacture a few hundred dollars. Or find a broker and invest it in the marketplace on a technology stock, but then you might lose it.
Put it within a S&P 500 index mutual fund for a moderately safe and diversified investment.
I would vote the best way to invest for a hasty return would be to shop for a used car lower than market good point. This could take a couple days. BUT>>>>>

If you buy a $7,000 Car for $4,000 that wants $1,000 worth of work + A day's worth of detailing + Some great selling and marketing...

THEN, in roughly speaking a month you would have it sold for $7,000 TAX FREE! Which is a $2k profit. Which is a 40% return within a month.

Do this 4 x a year and your 5K will be 13K within a year.

Hard to game
Invest it into a safe hedging strategy contained by the foreign exchange market and view it double in 6 to 8 months.

If you are serious drop me a stripe and I will send you a report that you will find relatively interesting.

What is the best online companty to buy stock through (eg. Ameritrade, etrade, etc.)?

Question:

Answer:
I like scottrade. When comparing brokerages, consider

research info. Scottrade offer research reports from S&P.

Price for trading Penny stocks. Some brokerages charge high trade prices for stocks underneath $2. Scottrade is good not great on this.

How much interest do they payment on cash balance?

How much interest do they charge on Margin balances?

Misc fees. at leisure account fees, verbs fees, etc.

Price for trading options, if you're into that.
Scott Trade nearby like $7 a trade
I cogitate scott trde of Fleraty. I dont know how to spell the second one, but you can go on yahoo nouns and it will say lot of them if you a short time ago type in a stock tickersymbol and look at the tsock and in that is a list of 4 trade websites.
they adjectives seem just about the same within price, or at least you can find a dozen between a small variety. You gotta make sure that you can buy as much as you want minus paying extra though. My brother also found out that a couple are just horrible at the closing stages of the year with income charge info, which wouldnt matter as much i guess if you maintain immaculate library. I havent found much of the info they use that helpful, but later again I have be dabbling not really making a study of it, you have better check out what the sites offer; realtime quotes, execution times, flush engines, etc.
Zecco. (If you have smaller number than $25,000.00 USD)
I like Scotttrade. There I don`t know cheaper out there, but when I telephone call Scottrade the phone is always picked up inside three rings.

I own a moment ago started buying CD's through a broker. One entity specifically a touch disturbing in the region of the process

Question:
is that if I "buy" on, for example, on the 5th day of the month, the compact disc is not actually bought until, for example, on the 11th. There are some days when the money is newly drawing low interest while being held within the brokers holding account. Should this be a concern to me? I guess that contained by the long run, it does not amount to much. Should I be concerned about the "limp days" before the actual compact disc is bought and placed in my sketch?

Answer:
forex trading probably isnt appropriate for your average cd question. i wouldn't walk there nonetheless... as for the cd's through a broker. the difference from a bank is that when you be in motion to a bank thats adjectives they do. that 1 cd or savings acct. at a broker you are dealing near a market. the bank offer them to dealers/distributors and the brokers will buy them into inventory, perchance 1-2 million worth, whatever they touch they can move. they usually go to marketplace every monday and brokers start to offer for the week monday/tuesday. they usually distribute about a weeks head time for the brokers to sell the cd''s to the public and after fill adjectives the orders at once. its a degree and profitability issue. shoot for minimum cost because its done on a large, simple degree. this usually means the rates will be better than your average dune. there are some regions where on earth banks measure brokers, but brokers will beat the average. another nice article about brokers is that if you own a ton of cash, you dont own to stress fdic coverage. you can cap out your 100k across a few bank and not have to move about all over town to do it. bank just save it simple. tbills are a great option for the short possession investor. They are yielding almost the same as cd's and are not subject to state due. also a much more liquid flea market if you need to deal in early. also, once you grasp into a cycle with the cd's...greatly of brokers realize that cash comes due on a parenthood date and will help you find a modern one starting on or close to that date. just telephone about a week past maturity. if they wont, shift to another broker. thats a pretty common courtesy.
You are making this to complicated for me, I freshly picked up a CD from my hill 2 months ago and It started paying that same day. The disc is also for 5 months and will allow me to draw off it anytime, collecting what I earn. So why go through a broker when you can do this yourself.
Trying to digit this out.. Why are you using a broker for a certificate of deposit? Are you using a broker for adjectives of your services? Oh well, I'd suggest doing it yourself.

Go to bankrate.com to compare rates and expressions.
Well there is a 3 working daytime settlement on certain trades. I be not aware that it also applied to CDs but I guess it must. However, that would mean buy on the 5th hours of daylight of the month and settle on the 8th day unless a week failure intervenes. Now consider this. Are you receiving a highly developed CD rate than you would from a local ridge. I expect that you are so consider that as an offset to have your funds sitting idle.

It that does bother you consider buying t-bills instead. There is a 1 morning settlement on them and they are free from state and local taxes. They currently pay in the region of 5% for a 6 month t-bill which would be equivelent to about a 6% compact disc.

is anyone seeing the potential that silver bullion have within the subsequent years?

Question:

Answer:
Silver is still used heavily in movies and not as oodles people as you suppose have really switched to digital. Silver have more applications and use then one can write here. Everything from electronics to river filters to medical and beyond... silver is so low priced that it have not be profitable to mine it. The surplus is running low and consumer demand is rising. Silver have great potential be cause if single 1% of investment demand moved from serious newspaper to silver prices would sky rocket. It's a ticking time bomb so to speak. I would definatley buy some and sit back and ride your rocket to the moon!!
they use it contained by photography and some chemical processes, other than that its a short time ago nice to look at.
i see the potentail. i like the potential.
The price sure have taken off lately. I'm surprised, since not a soul uses film for photography anymore, everything's digital. Whatever other uses near are for silver other than minting coins must be some emergency for it lately.
Silver has a great potential. It's holding it expediency better than other metals.
According to my trading signals, Silver has in recent times began another assemble that should take it skyward. I deem $17 to $20 is not unlikely in this call up. We'll see.

smartest investment?

Question:
What is the smartest investment(s) to make beside the highest return near an investment of $200,000? (either the whole amount of split up)

Answer:
With 200,000 could capture you a nice CD paying 4.5 or better that will give you a nice return of around $4,500 contained by 6 months. The whole time protecting your principle.
I own a more important quiz for you. If you have 200k, why are you asking a bunch of impulsive people on the internet? You can afford REAL guidance from an experienced professional. Your options are endlesslet someone who have invested 200k a dozen times before assist you do it right.

There's real-estate, REITS, hedge funds, t-bills/CD's, manage portfolios, mutual funds and much much more. Which is the right combo for you?
real estate
it depends on how much risk you can tolerate

and how much income you have need of from it and when

I'd split it up

50K tax free muni bonds at %5
50K surrounded by stocks, mostly mid cap ones that flog things I would buy, some safer ones with dividends too

80K invested surrounded by land, 10 acre plots, nice ones, I would turn check em out and maybe spend a daytime one each until that time buying. Maybe even bring a tent. Make a small fire even , see who bothers you. See what the neighborhood is like. Check for flooding. Mean neighbors, etc. Buy 6 of em so. Put the remaining 20K surrounded by a fund for taxes or small sheds.

Then just continue
As with most simple investing question like this, the answer is, it depends. The peak return on any investment would be to take the money to a casino, put it adjectives on the roulette wheel or cap table, and either double it, or lose it adjectives. You can easily double your money 8 times within a row before you step bankrupt.

My silly point is, superior return = higher risk. There is no such point as "smartest investment," unless you mean investing contained by your own financial knowledge.

There are merely two ways to reduce risk while almost maintain the same return. 1) Diversify - that process spread your money across different investments, like stocks, bonds, and definite estate; 2) Investing in your own financial knowhow, so that you can manage your own investments better than anyone else can.

An investment counselor does not enjoy that great an incentive to get you a big return beside low risk. He or she gets rewarded a percentage of your entire investment each year, whether or not it make big money. In addition, how do you know your investment counselor is giving pious advice if you don't know anything in the region of investments? What if your counselor quits, or dies? What if you move? What if your counselor is dishonest, untrained, working for an unscrupulous company, or just plain stupid?

You can carry advice from an investment counselor, but most of them are glorified salesmen. Before you hire one, contained by fact, ask him, is he rich? If he's not, why would you trust him next to your money?

But since everyone wants simple answers, the best investments surrounded by terms of simplicity, sanctuary, and likely return for the average party (with average likely annual return):

1) Paying down credit card debt (10-20%) (very simple, best return)
2) Owning your own home (5-10%) (relatively simple, excellent return)
3) U.S. governing body or high-rated corporate bonds (3-7%) (very simple, decent return)
4) Passive index funds (5-10%) (very simple, virtuous return but volatile)
5) Investment real estate (5-15%) (not so simple, but obedient returns)
6) Hedge funds (5-25%) (somewhat complex, but excellent returns)
7) Holding individual stocks (5-30%) (time-consuming, but excellent returns)
8) Bank savings vindication or CD (1-5%) (very simple, but low return)
9) Cash (0%) (simplest, but guaranteed to lose over the long term)

Note: Take these annual returns near a grain of brackish. They're mainly for comparison purposes.
Forget the compact disc. RIght now you can earn more than a compact disc by opening a money open market account or stash acct at Countrywide Bank. Its paying 5.25% and you can get to your money any time. Why tie it up?
The stock I only bought is Energy Conversion Devices, symbol ENER. They make solar panel, and batteries for hybrid cars. Here is a summary, near links, of their business:
