In a mutual funds what is beneficial Growth or Dividend fund beneficial.?

Question:
If Dividend is chose re- investment or pay out what is beneficial.
Please explain within details.

Answer:
For equity schemes, if you hold for more than a year, growth is preferable, as you can market all your unit with paying any charge.

For equity schemes, i.e. held on a short term starting place, dividend option are preferable. Thats because once you dig up a dividend, the NAV for the fund drops by the amount of dividend paid. Hence when you go your initial units that you purchased from the fund, you are most predictable not going to pay the short occupancy capital gain tax - because even though flea market may have gone up, the fund declared dividend and reduced its NAV so that you can show a loss or much poorer profit for Short Term Capital Gains

If you want to mimic the Growth option lacking paying too high a short occupancy gain tax, consequently opt for Dividend reinvestment scheme.

For debt scheme, growth option is preferable, because the rates on dividend distribution (13.2% ??) is higher than the short possession capital gain tax.
dear...if you are going to invest a huge some of amount at that time dividend is best..incase your investment is lower than 50000 than its better to move growth development

As the import tax law stands today contained by India, there is no difference between the Growth Option & Dividend Reinvestment remedy in a mutual fund (equity oriented)
Both will relinquish the same open market value of your investment.
But surrounded by the future, if the Long Term Capital Gains Tax is imposed move about for the Dividend reinvestment.
If the Govt. were to introduce the Dividend Distribution duty (on the mutual funds, not you) on equity oriented funds, consequently go for the Growth chance.
(Equity oriented fund scheme a fund that invests at least 50% of its corpus contained by equities)
But as of today, since there is no Long possession Capital Gains Tax for you, as well as no Dividend distribution Tax on the Mutual Funds (provided it is equity oriented), any option yield the same result.
plz tolerate me know ur age and approx amt u want to invest??but growth is always better that former 7 yrs data is showing.

What are the differences and similarities between a 401K within the US and a regulated superannuation Fund surrounded by Aus?

Question:
I see many question on here regarding 401K's which i assume are available within the United States.

They sound fairly similar to Regulated Complying Superannuation Funds in Australia.

I hold worked in the Superannuation industry within Australia so I understand contained by detail how Australian super funds work and the rules relating to them.

I am specifically looking for information on how a 401K works and, if anybody knows give or take a few both superannuation funds and 401K's, what the similarities/differences are.

If you only know give or take a few 401K's then please put down what you know and I will be capable of work out the differences and similarities.

My understanding is that 401K's are retirement nest egg accounts which are preserved until age 62 except in in no doubt circumstances (much the same as a super fund).

In the US does your employer produce contributions into this account for you? Are the contributions compulsory? Is insurance available?

The more info the better.

Cheers

Answer:
Since I spend time contained by both countries during each year, I can donate your info, but from a layman's point of view. The 401 Ks are similar to super funds. The differences are that contained by the 401K

1) It is not compulsory for employers to contribute. It is also not compulsory for personnel to contribute, although they have to realize that their retirement is their own responsibility.

2) Many employer only game the contribution that their employee puts aside, surrounded by many cases up to 6% to 10% of the employee's stand income.

2) Insurance is only available at the team expense and if the employee chooses to insure his/her income.

3) 401Ks are sort of close to a form of savings. You contribute funds into your 401K side, sort of like dollar cost averaging. These funds are used to buy unit of mutual funds based on how the hand selects his/her spread e.g if they select 60% growth funds and 10% brass funds etc, that is how the emploer distributes the funds into the 401K rationalization.

4) 401Ks are investments in mutual funds, whereas within super you can make any form of investments via your SMSF

5) 401Ks are single taxed when you remove money out of the side; there are huge penalty for removing the funds if you are under age 65.
401k is a defined contribution plan. The employer sponsors the plan and may or may not contribute to it. Employer also may or may not contest any contributions the employee make. Typically any contributions the employer does make (matching or base on compensation) has a vesting programme attached so that the employee earn the right to those funds gradually one and only through employment service. If said employee fail to complete said service time the "unvested" portion goes to other participant either contained by the form of subsidizing a future contribuiton or an extra allocation.

The member of staff can contribute their own funds if they choose...they do so on pre-tax income. Yet the amounts that they do contribute are counted when determining social security benefits.

The contributions can be invested within almost whatever option the employer wants to allowsome hamper choices others allow full brokerage accounts. There is no requirement on that end. Though it be in former times, insurance is not a big part of today's 401k's. The costs associated near it are better suited for taxable accounts.

Money is taxed with the sole purpose when distributed. It's taxed as run of the mill income which means at duplicate rate that typical wages are taxed. Prior to age 59 1/2 the money can be removed but will be subject to 10% extra charge unless certain criteria have been met. Most own to begin withdrawing at age 70 1/2 whether they want to or not. Benefits are 100% base upon contributions plus earnings. However, contribution can taken lump sum, installments, or annuitized over life expectancy. In adjectives cases it's based upon lolly value at time of distribution (plus assumed adjectives return of course).

Not familiar beside super funds but am in the 401k industry so I can work out comparisons near you if you'd like.

Wizetrade, etc. infomercials...?

Question:
Does any other investment professionals see these infomercials and think that the infomercials on T.V. are truly criminal? The product that they are selling are so ridiculous and deceiving that you want to give somebody a lift your personal time to stop it? I do. This should not be legally sold as a product to the adjectives public; this is criminal.

Answer:
If you take the word "criminal" figuratively it is indeed criminal.
Literally however, it's clearly legal. I can make clear to you that I can sell you somthing that will generate you millions of dollars and sell it to you for a thousand bucks. Then proposition you a pencil and tell you to use it to write a best retailer. If you go for it it is a permitted transaction. I agree whole heartedly that these programs prey on the unaware. They make me sick. But we live within a free country and they can sell what they want to. These days everyone desires to be rich. No one wants to do what is basic. As long as that mentality exists there will be a flea market for people peddle nonsense. I in recent times change the gully. But not before human being as angry as you are.

Is in that a decrease on the number of stocks (NASDAQ & NYSE) someone can buy?

Question:

Answer:
There is no limit provided you own the funds or credit.
No. You can buy and sell as several stocks as you want, there is no inhibit.
Yes there is a stricture.

The total number of stock available. However you may not be able to buy adjectives the stock in every company even if you have the money since that would lead to monopolies.
There is no confine. Buy one-buy a thousand-but 100,000 shares-no limit. You become more of an owner-but I come up with the mutual fund companies beat you to the punch-on the devout stock anyway.
technically, you can only buy anything shares that is outstanding. It is not unlimited. If you are looking for investment concept, see http://ibooyah.com , good luck.
Yes in that are limits. You can solely buy if some one is selling. You can only buy if you hold the money. You can get a fringe account but even after you still have to put up money. As long as some one is selling and you own cash, and are of a mind to pay the price, you can knock your self out. Get satisfactory shares, they will put you on the board of directors. Good luck with that.
Yes.

can someone explain the undamaged stock souk operate simply?

Question:
easy to take in. 8) thanks.

Answer:
Buy low, flog high
Check out www.fool.com
The stock marketplace is simple.

A company goes "public" and the doings of going public means the public can own a piece of the company.

That "piece" is call stock.

The value of the stock have not only a book advantage. but also a perceived value. That perceived appeal goes up or down depending on report items, analyst reports, and a 1000 other things that goes bearing too long to explain.

Note for Godzillas below...

There is no such thing as the "Dow Exchange".

Its the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange).
Bozo's indeed...
It is essentially gambling base on whether a seller and buyer agree the pro of an asset (company) is increasing or decreasing. Main operatives are fear versus greed.

I should put in that the fear and greed are reaction to the myriad of inputs real and imagined. Doesn't concern if it is a real profit transfer or someone saying BOO.
companies that are floated put on the market shares in the company, the share have a value, usually set by the plus of the company at floatation. the shares then budge up or down according to the companies perfomance and profits, you might buy shares in a company that you muse is going to do very in good health, you may pay for example 1 dollar per share, if the company perform well and make a good profit the shares will walk up in importance to say 2 dollars, you might establish to sell the shares and after you have doubled your money. the art is contained by investing in the right companies and making a profit.
also check on wikipedia
These bozos don't know, here it go, lets see if i take bes answer, let's cut the mumbo jumbo bologna.
Stocks are just shares contained by companies. Here's something no one mentioned. The Nasdaq is an exchange mostly next to 4 symbol stocks such as msft(microsoft) csco (cisco) while the Dow consists of mostly 2 and 3 symbol stocks such as IBM, and GE. American exchange has both. The Dow which is the bigger exchange consists of greatly of what they call "blue chip" companies, companies beside large flea market caps, or ample substantial sizes. The Nasdaq consists of a lot of mid trilby, smaller caps consisting of seriously of technology, biotech stocks. Nadaq overall is a little more risky beside usually a bigger reward, while the DOW will mostly have big long possession companies that pay dividends. sorry im tallking so much.
Anyway, stocks are merely merely reflections of a company. The more profit a company have, and growth, the better the stock will do. If you are a new investor, i'd buy stocks next to good dividends, one's that will in fact pay you a quarterly payout to own them. Here are some:

xom,ge,dow,eop,ggp
Good luck
When you own a stock, you own a piece of the company. If the company does very well, you do well, and the reverse. If they kind a lot of money, they may share it near the owners: that's called a dividend. The price of the stock is what a prepared buyer will pay and a ready seller will provide it for.
If you are going to learn nearly stocks and investing, why not learn from the best? (Warren Buffet)
http://www.berkshirehathaway.com/reports...
Click on the annual reports and walk right to the chairman's letter; you will see some duly plain-english explanations. His investment style I would describe as very long-term and sanctuary oriented.
