Told to buy: APA and KWK know anything?
Question:Answers:
Apache Corporation (APA) looks good and poised for a adjectives gain. It is currently trading at a nice multiple of 8.14 and it is coming off its high from around $78.15. Right now the stock is trading at $66.29 but it looks approaching there will be some more downside to play out previously you should buy it. There is a level of support freshly under $64/share, so you may consider putting a closing date order at that price to buy. It looks close to the shares could eventually trade at around $85 before this current bull run corrects itself. I would set a rein in order to put on the market (stop...) at this level. That should surrender about a 33% gain contained by the next 4 to 6 months. Not fruitless at all.
On the other appendage, Quicksilver Resources (KWK) is trading at a much higher multiple than Apache. The P/E Ratio on this stock is four times superior at 25.49. The chart says that KWK have had a clothed run-up over the past year but it is trading okay off its 52-week large of $52.75 at $32.36 currently. Also, the stock has be in a trading array over the last couple of months between $30 and $45 a share. That is like mad of volatility and it doesn't look like the trend will stop any time soon.
What you may consider, instead, is to play some September 35 Calls (.KWKIG) over the enormously short term. The stock should move in-the-money and concede a handsome payoff fairly smartly. It is rolling so well presently, albeit in a tighter and tighter selection, that you can roll out alternating Calls and Puts on the underlying stock for the next few months.
DeutscheBank merely started this stock as a Buy a week or so ago and maybe they know something I don't (and most conspicuously do...), but it seems that if I have to choose between the two companies, I would take the more importance from Apache. I believe that KWK will continue to trade contained by this range for some time to come and will eventually neither gain you or lose you money (unless you are an option trader...).
After all, their proceeds doubled last quarter and the stock shocked high, only to provide up most of those gains inwardly a month's time. They simply cannot repeat that performance quarter over quarter for any length of time.
In sum, buy Apache at $64 but lurk until Quicksilver gets like mad more value to it since you put your money into it- or play it out as it rolls.
Best of luck to you!

I'm not sure what your question is.
I own shares of APA, Apache, and it's one of my few profitable holdings during the last couple of months. Oil and Gas stocks should travel up if oil prices verbs up, as they probably will. In times of inflation, such as now, grease and gas stocks should do well.

what is a significant growth fund?
Question:Answers:
During the 90's these funds were particularly popular. They invested in companies such as Microsoft and Intel and GE and did amazingly well for their investors. But as individuals piled into them, they bid up the prices of the "large growth stocks" to astronomical level and when the market collapsed contained by 2000, they suffered greatly.
Since 2000 they have be disapointing to say the lowest.
Let's look at a couple of examples.
FDGRX Fidelity Growth Fund 30 billion in assets 5 year average return 2.9%.
AGTHX American Funds Growth Fund 78 billion contained by assets 5 year average return 5.5%. This one is considered a star. It does have a front finale load and the conduct data does not pocket that into consideration.
I saved the best for closing. JANSX Janus Fund. At one time this fund was considered the crem de la crem of growth funds. 12 billion within assets. At one time it was abundantly more.
Five year average return -2.6%. That is correct. It is negative.
Perhaps growth funds will again become star performer. Many "growth stocks" today are very conceivably priced compared to "speculative stocks".

Question:Answers:
You're kidding, right? That simple, and we'd adjectives be rich.
In May last year, AMD be at 14, rallied to 42 on Feb 1, 2oo6. It have backed rotten to a perfect Fibonacci .382 retracement to 31, and immediately sits at 33, ready to resume the assemble. But the Downtrend since Feb 1st has not even so been broken.
If you see the stock above 36 surrounded by the next few weeks, it will probably fashion another run at its highs at 42.
If you see it break 31, it's probably going to 28, and if that doesn't hold, consequently probably back to 24.5 at the artifice .618 retracement.
Buy the stock at 36, or when it reaches 25 next to a stop below 24.

Can someone explain to me something like stock splits?
Question:What does it mean when it is a 2:1? And what does it tight-fisted if it is a 3:2?Answers:
2:1 means you obtain two shares of a stock for each one you owned. 3:2 mechanism 3 shares for each 2. Often the overall price per share go down as a result, but the answer above is incorrect, it doesn't usually go down by partly (or 33% in a 3:2) You almost alwys come out ahead short and long-term. Companies simply split stock when they're doing real okay.
Other Answers:
If a stock is at $100 and it splits 2:1. the new price is $50 and you own two shares for each inventive share.
split has commonplace split and reverse split. As the share value reach very lofty, people stop buying. For example :Company of that stock shall announce split the stock 2 to 1 (means 1 share turns into 2 shares at the due daytime of split),and the share price becomes partly of the closing price on that day of splitting. Example: if you own 100 shares ABC stock at the closing trade price $100. The following light of day,you will own 200 shares of ABC at $50. You did not gain any thing but it give change to agree to the share price to go up because more investors competent to buy $50 stock rather than $100 stock, and it make the share price HAS MORE CHANCES to go up. Reverse split is doing differing. Usually happen to share price go down below $2. Company of this stock facing delisting from DOW or NASQ if the share price below $2 more than a certain time. Company using reverse split to cheat more time to stay surrounded by market. Example: XYZ stock price $1. It reverses split 10 to 1 at the closing time of that daylight. If you own 1000 share of XYZ,the following day you own 100 shares at the price of $10. You do not gain any thing again but you facing a big lose subsequent on. Usually withing 30 days,XYZ share price goes down to $1 again and you lost $900. THAT IS HOW THE COMPANY CHEATS ALL THE INVESTOR AND THE GOVERNMENT ALLOWS IT TO STEAL FROM ALL INVESTOR.

What is an i Bond?
Question:My father says this is a great investment for me. I enjoy $50,000.00. Stocks, Mutual funds, or this so called I bond?Answers:
I-bonds are issued by the US system and guarantee a fixed rate of return above inflation. Currently, I-bonds guarantee 1.4% above inflation (see source below). The current rate of inflation for the next six months is 1.0%, so an I-bond purchased today would own an effective annualized verbs of appoximately 2.4%.
This is a pathetic return for someone trying to grow a nest egg. Earning 2.4%, your investment will double contained by about 30 years. Adjusted for inflation, it would rob 50 years. Compare this with the stock souk, where you can expect a nominal return of 10% and an inflation-adjusted return of 7%. Adjusted for inflation, it take about 10 years for your investment to double surrounded by buying power.
I-bonds are good for ancestors of retirement age who would like a guaranteed return above inflation.
What happen when the company you bought stock contained by stops trading?
Question:I bought stock in a company 2 years ago, in a minute their ticker is no longer valid and I can't find a record of it even when I do a entitle search. My online portfolio say $0. The company is definitely still around, their net site is up and current, I've tried contacting them by phone and email but can't get through. Have I lost my money??Answers:
It could be that they changed exchanges (like from the NASDAQ to OTC). But if your online portfolio say $0, and that portfolio is with a brokerage (not Yahoo Finance, for example), after it is more likely that they file for bankruptcy. This does not parsimonious that the company no longer exists, which would be why you can see their web site.
If you lost money, you can write that sour as a capital loss, which help you on your taxes. You can write it off on Schedule D.
Other Answers:
Try going to the SEC pattern site and look up the company. You might find out whats going on.
