What should i do near my Delta Airlines stock?

Question:
I have 130 shares of Delta and is up 50% since I bought it. I want to bring out before the stock is worthless once ruin reorganization is complete. when is the best time to get out so i enjoy the most capital gain?

Answer:
Looks approaching US airways is making a bid on Delta, that should help the price step up even more. 50% is also a very accurate return on your investment. Bulls make money, bear make money, but pigs gain slaughtered.
sell it & buy us airway stock
If US Airway is succesful within buying Delta, then your shares will become US Airways. I probably won't be 130 shares of US Airways but the dollar efficacy should be the same.
I suggest you to deal in Delta.

There are three scenarios:
1) Delta dies.
2) Delta rises from the Ashes.
3) Delta is bought.

The first scenario is impressively likely because the Airbus 380 can fly 853 passenger and the entire Delta company is worth less than the cost of ONE Airbus 380 (About $300 Million)

The second scenario is severely unlikely because they would have to trade all their airplanes to a foreign airline flying to Africa or South America and you don't get too much money flying from one poor country to another poor country and even if somehow Delta sells every airplane they don't own enough money to buy more airplanes.

If they turn down US Airways others will contribute more but in the extension they will disappear.
sell it right very soon! no, wait that's too long - trade it yesterday!
actually the liquidation reorganization is why it is at that price to begin near it wont be worthless but if you made a 50% gain sell partly and ride the rest but put a stop (loss) of say 20% of the gain.

3) No.

I've hear of policy bonds and buying them at the post organization. Is this a honest investment?

Question:
I have a friend that invests contained by government bonds by buying them at the local post offce for 39$ and selling stern his bond for 50$ after three months? I think this is rediculous; any he's lying or there's something fishy going on at the Post Office. Any advice?

Answer:
It sounds similar to he's getting a bond with a discount. This would imply that there are no interest payments, in recent times the value of the bond go up as the interest is earned.

Government bonds are righteous investments for two reasons: 1) the administration won't go ruined, they just print more money to retribution off the debt, and 2) Federal bonds aren't subject to Federal income duty and State bonds to State income tax.

Government bonds are discouraging because they tend to pay a especially low interest rate, so if you are comfortable with risk contained by an investment, buy a different bond, like a AAA rate bond.
lying indeed. $50 after many yrs possibly. Avoid Savings bonds at all cost.
If you buy a Bond for $39.00 you will win about $41.00 after a year.
I don't know what country you are within but there is something deeply fishy about your friend. In the US, you can't buy bonds at the PO but I believe you can within the UK and Japan. In either casing, the discount rate your friend is touting is absurd.

In the US, the 91 morning rate on a treasury bill is about 5%. That process you could buy a treasury bill at $98.75 and three months later it would be worth $100.00.

Why do ppl buy gold ingots as an investment tool?

Question:
It's hasn't even kept up with inflation for the closing 22 or so years since the gold /silver run up surrounded by the very precipitate 80's

Answer:
Precious metals like Gold and silver can do fabulous when inflation kick in and folks are afraid of a recession. Vanguard's precious metals fund VGPMX have returned 31.5% this year, better than any other sector. Serious bears love gold ingots. Buying gold is a bet that the discount will tank.
ya, but when it does move about up look out
Gold will always be gold ingots. Stocks, currency, bonds, etc. may not hold value soon. Gold is one of the safest investments, not risky.
because their weird
It in actual fact has be a good beat about the bush against inflation. Gold is considered a safe investment bc it's a tough asset. The dollar is only prized bc everyone in America say it is. For the long-term gold hasn't be very devout, but it can make some money contained by the short term, I wouldn't buy it right very soon, though, since I think it's be going down. I'd wait.
You know what, im kicking myself for not jump on it.
Because there are "investment advisors" who aggressively push it...
gold ingots is risky
it earns no interest
it be $800 many years ago and have yet to acquire back up
gold ingots can be stolen so it must be srored and insured (cost)
there are seriously of con men who sell fiddle gold, including coins, bogus depository reciepts

In view gold will hold up with inflation because no political affairs can make it

a administration can however confiscate it or outlaw ownership (at one time it was not permitted to own gold contained by the US except as jewelry)
I twill now. Ignore that bubble within 1979 which twisted Gold & Silver patterns. India & China are buying heavily. IAU the etf a obedient play
For exactly the same use people smoke and guzzle at McDonald's despite the fact you will be inert in both cases (Lung Cancer and Heart Attack)
gold ingots isn't supposed to keep up next to inflation - the only sense that it's even tied to USA inflation rates is b/c it was originally priced within US$ for years and years (same thing beside oil)...

it's a commodity just similar to any other commodity - the reason that traders and fund manager will diversify into it is b/c it's often a 'contrarian' asset, which ability that when times are bad and other stuff is down that gold ingots might be up...

contrarian investments work oftentimes b/c of 'risk-aversion' where ethnic group become less inclined to risky assets or assets that become risky due to lasting conditions...

if you were watching gold ingots prices then you'd know that gold ingots spiked upward earlier this year (along next to other metals) but even when gold be trading in the 350 to 450 scale for the longest time, it wasn't a bad investment, it be a 'hold-wait-and-see' play that eventually worked out for people who be buying it

Can anyone say-so if Schlumberger (SLB) will present another stock split this year 2007?

Question:
Also, What contributes to the decision of a stock split?

April 2006 SLB announced a 2:1 Stock Split

Only experienced direction in this enclosed space please, no guesses.

Answer:
No value to stock splits so really does not issue. SLB has a history of them so plausible if price rises but does not increase value or otherwise relieve at all. Just an administrative point to keep price contained by a range where on earth individuals might buy. Since institutions own 75% or more of stock actually a spend of time & money doing the paper work.
