http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=lamr...
$22,980 if you cashed them in tomorrow morning.
roughly speaking 24000 USD
look at the nystock exchange report in your communication paper the price change daily on most stock
ok you know whats its worth by in a minute.heres what i would do.

It is a pretty good stock to hold on to. MSN Money give it a power rating of 5 right now, near a low risk to lose money, and to match the flea market over the next 6 months, but it does own a good outlook on earn over the next FY. I would hold on to it and bread it later for greater returns.
also remember that your cost idea (the price at which you start paying tax) is the price of the stock on her date of death. any price increase thereafter you will owe taxes.

roughly $22980 ($57.45 * 400 shares)

can you let somebody know me the bare bones of the stock marketplace?

Question:
anyone pleas?

Answer:
Congratulations on getting started. It’ll help you more than you know!

How to invest depends on what you already know. We'll assume that you're germ.

A good primer is How to Make Money within Stocks by William O'Neil. You can get it cheap in recent times about anywhere. It’s widely available unknown or used.

Another good one is one of Jim Cramer's books.

But books will lone get you so far. At some point, you'll also want to win at least for a time training. There are some great education companies if you want to clear the investment. Investools.com or optionetics.com are both very right companies as is tmitchell.com

For free, you can start by visiting thestreet.com. That'll carry you a pretty good primer so at smallest you'll understand what the market are and what a stock is, etc. If you get a hit and miss, watch Mad Money on CNBC. Don't trade any of his picks. Just use the show to receive you to understand some nitty-gritty and get a have a feeling for the market itself.

Next, subscribe to something close to investorsbusiness daily or something resembling that that can help you identify honest stocks.

Do a quick look into (at the top of the page) on ROTH IRAs. You’ll want to put some money in within.

Once you understand stocks, jump to 888options.com. It's a website that'll help you recognize options (what they do, how they work, etc). You don't obligation to trade them, but the more you know, the more you'll see how options can really be the safest channel to invest (once you're educated).

As you get more advanced, you might want a controlled analysis book like Murphy's Visual Investor or A Technical Analysis Course by Meyer.

If it's discipline (which is crucial to successful trading), probably Trading within the Zone by Mark Douglas or Mastering the Trade by John Carter

I know that’s a LOT to absorb. Just pinch it one step at a time for now. Start slow, afterwards as you figure things out, move out of mutual funds into ETFs and/or stocks.

Congrats again on getting started. If you hold any questions, please permit me know.

Hope this helps!
Ever trade baseball cards? same do business. buy something wait for it to shift up in price. market it off.
Stock go up, stock goes down, stock go up, stock goes down...

If your looking at investing, put your money surrounded by strong companies that YOU would buy their productsthats how I base my investing, buy what you would buy. If you be looking at buying insurance today, wouldn't you look for the best deal? Same concept near the market, aren't you going to look for the best company? Another is clothing (a personal investment for me) I buy American Eagle stock (AEOS) because I wear American Eagle...But one item you might want to look at also is.Do you drive a Ford? Because even if i did, I know enough going on for the market not to invest within Ford...even at this time with the stock so lowunless you forsee that they are going to turn the company around...still riskybasically RESEARCH!!

Skin's Footwearanyone looked into this?

Question:
I have be watching and researching Skin's Footwear TICKER: SKNN, has anyone else followed this however? The company is about to launch its product within January and have brought together relatively an impressive government team. The stock have been up and down and i'm still disbelieving about what the possiblities are for this company. Their website is www.skinsfootwear.com. I know over former times 2 days alone it has jump over 30%, not a good time to get hold of in on it because I know it will be in motion down, its considered a penny stock right now. I usually don't jump for stocks like these because of such a big risk but am really considering it on this one. Your input and projections base on the product line is appreciated.

Answer:
I similar to this one too, as you said the management looks really honest, and the fact that First Capital would be funding this get me interested.

"When a stock say it will award a dividend to those "on record" on such a date what does that be set to?"

Question:
Does this mean that they will award a dividend to those who own the stock at the interested of the market or at the close of the marketplace on that particular afternoon?

Answer:
It means holders of narrative. In other words it is paid to the character holding it on that date even though he/she may sell it in the past the payment date.
It technique that if you are listed as a extremity of that company(i.e.) a shareholder at the "books Closing" date you will be intitled to receive a dividend. That is why you often see a share price plummet after it goes ex dividend.

How long must I hold on to a stock previously I can collect a dividend on it?

Question:
Meaning when does a dividend happen. If I be to purchase a stock today and tomarrow is there profits call, will I be eligable for the dividend?

On another details, how soon after an earnings christen are dividends distributed?

As you can see I am clueless about the stock bazaar.

Answer:
Most companies issue dividends 4 times per year (once a quarter) so you could buy a stock just days beforehand the "date of record" or 1 day after the date of account and wait 2 months, and 29 or 30 days to be eligible for the subsequent dividend. Earnings calls enjoy nothing to do next to the dividend.
Don't invest while you are still "clueless," only invest contained by what you know. Read "Investing for Dummies" by Eric Tyson first.
If you own a stock on the ex-date you are entitled to receive the dividend on the payable date. You can find out which stocks are paying dividends and when. Just go the following correlation and enter your stock symbol:

Here are this month's best traders:

http://www.top10traders.com/top10standin...

Good luck.
Just to be clear, you need to buy the stock no following than the day BEFORE the ex-dividend date contained by order to receive the upcoming dividend. You can afterwards sell it as hasty as the ex-dividend date itself and still get the dividend.

But within case you thought you'd create some easy money by buying of late in time for the dividend, you won't. Reason is, the price of the stock drops by the approximate amount of the dividend on the ex-dividend date, so you gain zilch.
The above answer is slightly misleading. If it is a strong company the stock will only drop by almost 85% of the dividend on average. So if you are willing to risk a few bucks it may be a clad payoff. Just make sure to cover your commissions.
Contact your Investor Relations Department.
The knob date to remember for dividend paying stocks fund or security is the ex-dividend date

The push button date to remember for dividend paying stocks is the ex-dividend date. The Record Date, or Date of Record determines the Ex-dividend date, when you must own the stock.

In order for you to receive the upcoming dividend you must already own or you must purchase the stock prior to the ex-dividend date.

It is impressive to know when you buy or sell stock, in that is a three-day settlement (three stock trading days) on all buy or market orders.

Here is an example: The ex-dividend date is two stock business days prior to the account date. To be a stockholder on the Record Date you must purchase the stock before the ex-dividend date. The most modern date you can buy the stock to be a stockholder on record and be entitled to the dividend would be in the future prior to the ex-dividend date to allow for the three stock trading day settlement of the stock purchase. If you purchase the stock the sunshine before the ex-dividend date you would be a stockholder on the dictation date and would be entitled to receive the dividend payment.

You must be a stockholder on the transcript date to receive the dividend payment.

You do not own to sell the stock after the story date to be entitled to the dividend. However, you must hold and sell your stock on the ex-dividend date or after to be entitled to the dividend transmittal. In this example, assuming that you purchased the stock one day in the past the ex-dividend date, you would be a stockholder on record date. If you flog the stock on the ex-dividend date, the buyer of your stock would be a stockholder one day after the text date given the three stock business trading day settlement. The individual that bought your stock would not be entitled to receive the dividend.

You must only own the stock one-day to be entitled to receive the dividend transfer of funds.

If you buy before the ex-dividend date, and go on the ex-dividend date or after, you receive the dividend payment.

Like any trading system, overall open market sentiment and momentum is key. One supremacy is that dividend paying stocks do have a susceptibility to be much more stable and predictable and have the partiality to appreciate in price due to the dividend compensation.

Here are some helpful links to Ex-dividend.com which also explain Dividend Capture:
http://ex-dividend.com/exexample.html...

And Ex-dividend Date:
http://ex-dividend.com/howitworks.html...

I hope the example above have clarified your question.
Most of the companies issue dividend quarterly per year. If you are purchased shares since the ex-dividend date you will be eligible to receive the dividend.

Is nearby an profit to buying shares during an Initial Public Offering?

Question:
Is there an good thing to buying shares during an Initial Public Offering

Answer:
First of all, it's not adjectives that easy to buy into most IPO's. IPO stock is commonly priced to go up, insuring profits for the underwriters and the first tier of buyers. This built within profit reflects the risk of buying something when within is no market process to support price discovery. And there's solid risk: sometimes the IPO will fall on it's facade.

Since the underwriter begins next to millions of shares, they will first look to big block buyers to move the lion's share of the offering, no time for small investors. These will often be big customers of the investment hill. Sometimes, the investment house will reserve a block of IPO stock for it's smaller retail customers. That's the way it works within reality.

In some cases, some IPO stock may be reserved for organization of the company. And some weird companies approaching G00GLE and Vonage have come up near more democratic ways of peddling the initial stock offering, although it's not other clear that these represent good deal.

Just remember that buying an IPO is not a guaranteed road to riches. For example, Vonage went right from IPO to shareholder class exploit suit.
typically, that is when the stock will be at it's lowest cost, and that growth will rapidly follow.
Only that it's cheaper -- assuming the company's a good investment.
Yes: Prior to the IPO There is a prospectus explicitly developed. Careful reading of the prospectus will give an incite to the achievability of the propose business. The IPO price is set, you don't have to verbs about souk movement. If you believe that the management is going to do what they voice, and the company can do what it plans to do then you are looking at a company that will label money. Remember to check the competition, If the new company is going to confer them problems, you have a honourable pick.

If you buy at the IPO, The market will determine if the investment is a buy, hold or flog. If it is a buy or hold, you will make money. If it is a get rid of, it is possible that you may loose on day one. Into the life span of the new stock it could stir up. Usually when you are buying stock you have no information to stir by, this is why the IPO is so valued.
Yes.
Depends on the company. I will give you 3 examples from finishing year's 3 IPOs that go up, down and down first,up latter. Plot their 1year price charts for details. They are

Master Card, symbol MA (up and up)
Vonage, VG (opened at $13, now it is just $6)
Tim Horton, THI (long term up)

as for brokerage fees -- do not expect discount in recent times because it is an IPO

Any appropriate stocks right presently?

Question:
I day trade, and hold found it fairly profitable, but just now have not see many stocks that are fit for light of day trading. Do you have any suggestions. I am predisposed to make substantial investments.

Answer:
Remember put a bet on in the 1990s when profusely of people any retired early or become wealthy? It be relatively simple. With stock prices going up, up, up, I knew deeply of people who simply invested portion of their paychecks. They ended up beside several hundred thousand dollars in profits from their constantly rising stocks.

I know others who had already amassed several hundred thousand by the time the stock boom come along. They were millionaires by the time the 1990s done.

Ah yes, those were the days. Today it's profoundly harder. Stocks don't seem to do much any more. You own to invest in risky emerging countries to see much return. And that opening can evaporate overnight taking your money with it.

When the stock marketplace won't bring you any return, most people turn to genuine estate. But housing prices have peaked within most cities, meaning you can't simply buy a house and sit on it for several years to earn a fat nest egg.

So does that be determined we have to offer up on ever getting ahead and just swot up to be satisfied living the average enthusiasm our jobs can provide?

Not necessarily. These days you own to think differently to get hold of ahead. For example, you've noticed how engineering and jobs are heading out of North America to foreign countries. That's unpromising news for oodles workers, but it's GREAT news for some segment of the Foreign Exchange Market.

You see, when we buy products from China, or Japan ships products to England, all kind of currency has to revise hands and be converted. There is BIG money contained by that process.

FOREX, the foreign exchange market, handle 2 TRILLION in transactions EVERY DAY. That's far more money than what Wall Street handle. Just about anybody can lunge in and verbs out quite a profit for themselves by participating contained by the FOREX process.

Does all this nouns a bit new to you? Most North Americans own heard incredibly little about FOREX. They've get BILLIONS of dollars sitting in funds accounts and low yield investments that could get them a LOT more money in the Foreign Exchange Industry.

What is an example except G00GLE tht have become a public trading company contained by the stock open market?

Question:
What is an example other than G00GLE that have become a public trading company in the stock flea market? Please try to give an example of a totally wopular and worldwide company.

Answer:
Everything in the stock open market is publicly traded, thats the only opening to get into the stock flea market.

examples : Microsoft, Nike, Yahoo!, GE, the list go on.

You can also search for Initial Public Offerings for companies that are roughly to become publicly traded. One big one coming this month is Hertz. The Hertz division was constituent of Ford, which sold it and now they are going to become public, and probably crush Ford within the near adjectives.
MasterCard went public surrounded by may stock ticker is MA
Hanes (HBI) clothing just spun stale from Sara Lee. Technically any company that has stock is a publically traded company.

Coca Cola, Ford Motor Company, Toyota, General Motors, Yahoo, IBM, Microsoft, Bank of America, Bebe (clothes), Sony and Matel (toys) are some examples of publically traded companies. A top private company is Subway.
Mastercard (MA) and Vonage (VG) both went public roughly speaking six months ago. The reason I dispense you these stocks is to show you that not all IPO's run in impossible to tell apart direction.

Burger King (BKC) is another recent one. If you look at their chart, you'll see that one's different too!

Here are links to all three charts.

All equities traded on the stock market are publicly traded companies. Perhaps you're asking about successful IPOs? Anyway, rephrase your ask, it's silly and dumb as it is.
