How older do you enjoy to be to use TD Ameritrade?

Question:
How old do you hold to be to use TD Ameritrade?
I looked at their website but I could not find if there be a age restriction on making an account.

Answer:
Technically, you must be 18 years out-of-date to bind a contract in the USA. However, a responsible entertainment under age 18 can officially bind a contract also and not even require a co-signer unless the second party insists otherwise.

With regard to T-Ameritrade, just not tell the truth about your age if you intend to buy and sell with penny stock on the internet. Lots of kids do that and as long as they don't run a deficit within their portfolio they won't have a problem at adjectives.

Penny stock is not that great if selling and buying often because Ameritrade eat most of the profits in transaction fees. Nonetheless, I know a few kids have already a few thousand dollars after five years, so it can pay sour if you are careful.

Good luck.
18 beside money at hand.

Minimum harmonize in the justification is $2,500.

You can also have a co-signer if you're lower than 18.
In the US, you have to be 18 to be justifiably bound by contracts. Chances are TD won't take your money if you are lower than 18. You have to steep out an application which asks for date of birth and Social Security number.

Can anyone furnish an intellectual answer why one stock is going up and one down today?

Question:
Both are biotech, SVNT AND NSTK
nstk up .50cents today 4/18
svnt down .46 cents
nstk has be touted 4 times by cramer seems to be the singular good report for now,
but svnt have better quarterly earnings report,
double the income of nstk, svnt have 3.5 times more cash, nstk have 11.68 in debt,
svnt have (0) zero debt, svnt have a drug in phase 111 already, plus a drug on the flea market from approval two years ago,
so an overall better company in more ways than one, afterwards why is the company with the worst transcription (nstk) moving up instead of down? Can cramer's touting be that influential? How long will this last up to that time the touters club bails out & hurting thousands of other investors still holding on?
The two companies are night & year difference. like cars, one is a
Hugo and the other perchance a chevy impala
There are many other better companies to invest within, than nstk, with again better chronicles. (incy, bmrn, cege, mogn, imcl, vphm, snus, idev, etc.)
Manipulation is the answer, nstk is overpriced!

Answer:
There can be a lot of reason for what you are asking. Manipulation and the great stock market conspiracy is NOT one of them. Take a look at Microsoft. Since the bottom of the marketplace in 2002, the fundamentals enjoy consistently gotten better, but the stock has not be able to break $30. Why? If you look at every financial ratio that you can believe of, Price to Earnings, Price to Sales, Price to Cash Flow, etc. Every one of them has gotten better. They even started paying a dividend and since after have raise it. They also payed out approximately $30 billion in a special dividend!

****Stocks can disconnect from their fundamentals for short and long period of time. ****

For Microsoft, the expectations have changed. The monopoly may be over. There is increased competition from network based applications and the company can't grow as nippy as it used to. So investors aren't willing to wage the lofty valuations resembling they used to.

This is what makes the stock marketplace great. The bulls and the bears war it out everyday.

Weren't Intel and Cisco great shorting opportunities at over $100 per share surrounded by March, 2000. At that time, every analyst in the world have a buy recommendation and the companies be delivering mind-boggling numbers. Then why didn't they keep going up?

If you believe contained by free markets, money will other seek and find appeal and returns. It just may purloin a while.

Do some reading. Check out Peter Lynch's first book, One Up on Wallstreet. He always said that he made most of his money surrounded by a stock in the second and third year. Also, do some research fugitive up in the bazaar from the 1960's to the 1970's and the bear flea market that followed from 1972 - 1974 and what happened to the "Nifty - Fifty" stocks. It will make available you a lot of insight.

One tip....I would fairly be rich than right. Go into every investment or trade with an exit plan. That method use a stop loss, either mental or physical and stick to it. In investing and within life, dicipline is more major than conviction!!

Good Luck!!
Easy, opinions differ. If everyone agreed, next there would be no bazaar.

When everyone knows that they must BUY, we shortly seize a blowoff top (no one left to buy). When everyone know that they MUST sell after we shortly get a flea market bottom (no one left to sell).

Is it better to buy an established restaurant or start one from cut into?

Question:

Answer:
If you start a business on your own, then you enjoy almost all control over everything that go on, but of course it's a bigger risk and take time. I'd say because it's a restaurant and you'd want to keep up on condition codes, and have a stable customer floor, I'd lean towards purchasing an established restaurant. Be sure you're getting a good deal and buying from an honest creature... It would really suck if the building was going on for to be condemned because of zoning or something. As you know though high risk equals giant reward. Be prepared and Good Luck :)

Investments?

Question:
What would make investing contained by blockbuster, AT&T, and Marathon Oil high risks?

What would spawn investing in these companies low risks?

What do you suggest? I'm just getting thinking for a paper I'm writing. Thanks!

Answer:
not much to contribute... but one point on blockbuster is the current trend in the video rental industry. They are losing money. Stores used to achieve copies of movies before they be available for purchase and now they come out matching day. The advancement of technology like Tivo allow folks to record a movie for free and hold it on their DVR indefinitely. Competition is raging to keep customers using the rental industry at all- netflix, mail your video back, adjectives those programs that are basically duplicate. It's due to the fact that general public are less inclined to drive the the rental store anymore. It's only a event of time before the industry is done away beside or else completely overhauled. In my view it's a gamble right in a minute whether blockbuster will come out on top or not.

Once the souk closes, how can stocks still be self traded?

Question:
Who is doing the trading?

Answer:
now louck requests correcting. Mutual Funds are fixed and done at 4pm. There ARE STOCKS that do trade after hours and if you are with a broker than does after/pre open market trading you can do it as well. Stocks moves after hours on quarterly reports or somethign upright or bad happen to eitrher the sector or company. Be forewarned however that trading after/before market hours is extremly risky and you can lose money (as I did when I jump on the xm merger bandwagin stop losses really saved me).
Even after the market close there is after hours trading. Brokers are doing the trading.

I would antipathy to be one of Louck's clients that isn't aware of your ability to trade equities after hours. Any apprentice invester can watch CNBC and see tickers moving "after hours."

Don't verbs the funds with stocks....appreciation for the save zybe!
Jimmy B is incorrect. While your broker can place buys and sell after-hours, neither is actually processed until the marketplace opens on the subsequent business day. This is why adjectives fund companies have a reproving that specifically states that any trades placed after the close of business will not be processed with that day's share prices. In reality, all fund companies I hold dealth with close trading in the past the stock market closes (usually 30 minutes before). This may be a company-specific rule or adjectives across the board; I'm not sure.

Edit: I confirmed with my rep this morning that near are in certainty funds and stocks that allow trades after-hours. However, he pointed out that the majority of lawsuits you see nowadays are pointed at companies and brokers who accomplish these types of transactions and that he personally recommend staying away from them.

My allowance plot at work is no angelic. Can i pilfer out what is gone as dosh?

Question:
The pension coordination which i have at work have lost value to it and we are individual asked if we want to take what is disappeared and transfer to another income fund. Can i take the brass value as currency and invest that somewhere else?

Answer:
Maybe. You would need to check next to your plan administrator to make sure. It sounds lik that's what they're unfolding you. You would probably have to roll it into a rollover IRA, within order to avoid precipitate withdrawal penalty. Again, your plan administrator would be a much better source for information as they will have adjectives of the details.
Highly unlikely, what goes into a fund, remarkably if protected rights, has to stay contained by a pension fund
You can verbs to another authorised pension task or a personal pension.
Best to gain advice from an IFA though. If you verbs (and without suggestion you don't really know if this is in your best interest) where on earth are you going to invest the money? There are a huge range of option. A goof IFA will discuss these with you and back your pension pot grow.

Question:

Answer:
That's tough one maybe GE or McDonalds
no stock is guaranteed (or even likely) to provide you any significant gain in that time...try a 90-day CD
You know you enjoy to pay taxes on any gain.

How can those trade stocks after hours?

Question:
I was curious why so tons stocks have a roomy gap up or down the subsequent day? How can the average joe trade stocks after hours? And why don't they run out this practice because it is sure unfair to regular traders.

Answer:
There are two answers:

1) There is such a entry as extended hours or after hours trading, via electronic networks (you can access them via a normal broker). The volume is across the world a lot lower, and the spreads usually wider, but you can still trade stocks 12 or more hours a time.

2) If there be some news (for example, several companies report earnings after the close or beforehand the open) overnight, the price automatically adjusts. The souk maker, the company committed to buying and selling at "reasonable" prices, will adjust the buying and selling price, using ruling, based on the predictable impact of the news. Or, nation will start buying and selling before the bell (the legitimate opening if the market), so that by the time 9:30 rolls around, the price have already moved. Of course, to the casual eye, it seem that the price "jumped," extremely when you only look at "regular" charts that don't include up to that time or after-market moves.

The "Average Joe" shouldn't be worried about gap up or down, but rather should concentrate on longer-term pattern. And, as I pointed out, almost anyone with any broker have access to after-hours trading. It's not exactly unfair when everyone can join - it just may seem to be that way. By the approach, all regular traders know, or to some extent should know, about gap.

The market is undue in lots ways, but perhaps not contained by this way.

What are differences between NASDAQ, NYSE, DOW, S&P, AMEX...ETC?

Question:
Why do we have to separate them?

Thanks

Answer:
Many different things,
NYSE: New York Stock Exchange.
Amex: American Stock Exchange.
OTC: Over the counter.
All three of the foregoing are different ways of trading stocks. A company can choose where on earth it wants to own its stock traded.

NASDAQ: National Association of Securities Dealers Average Quotation.
Dow: Any of the Dow Jones averages of stock prices, but especially the Dow Jones 30 Industrials. Dow Jones also publishes averages of utilities and transportation stocks.
S&P 500: A stock price index of 500 stocks published by Standard & Poor's.
Wilshire: A stock price index published by Wilshire.
All of the foregoing price indices are measures of the overall performance of the souk.

You need to read a book on stock flea market fundamentals; there are lots available.
Just to point out, these are respectively separate markets, located contained by separate buildings (and usually separate cities), run by separate companies. Well, the DOW and S&P are just indexes. Anyway, when you trade stocks, you don't perceive, since most brokerages automatically link you up to the big three (NASDAQ, NYSE, and AMEX).
