Annuity? Why not?
Question:
I'm getting ready to retire contained by a couple of months. I don't want any risk and so I'm prepared to put my retirement money into an annuity rather than a cd, money flea market, stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. People keep recounting me not to do this. What's the problem? I really don't want any risk whatsoever.
Answer:
If you're a soon to be retiree and you're looking to lock in a stream of income beside next to no risk, a fixed annuity is the right answer.
People automatically estimate of variable annuities when you articulate annuity, and those can sometimes have dignified management fees. Also, relations may tell you that you can invention a stream of income greater than the annuity by investing the money yourself, but if you're looking for safety and convenience, a fixed annuity or some deviation of a fixed annuity is going to be the best bet.
My mother is already retired at 55. However, her portfolio still has a virtuous mixture of stocks and bonds.
Is this risky? Not exactly.
It's important to grasp the word "risk." When brokers use this term, they usually indicate a portfolio has the possibility of fluctuating surrounded by value, and the possibility of posting distrustful returns.
However, in the long run--and I assume you plan on living for at least another 20 yrs. (fingers crossed!)--stocks and bonds hold ALWAYS posted higher returns than an annuity. Much greater returns, in reality. Probably twice as much, or more.
If you're very short on dosh, have a small explanation, and really need an on the spot stream of income, then yes, consider the annuity.
But by adjectives means, if you hold adequate routine of income for the moment, consider investing in some conservative mutual funds. I notably doubt you would be disappointed.
My best recommendation would be to call round a financial planner. It's worth the money, and he could probably explain your options better than I enjoy here.
Go with the math, not your sensations!
Hope this helps,

I own 2 annuities through a sandbank using Hartford. Paying 7% and you get the full amount hindmost in 17 years. Immediate annuity.
Can I invest within Forex near merely $100?
Question:
How much will I be able to find back surrounded by profit
Answer:
I would strongly discourage you from entering the Forex market next to $100. You should only invest contained by Forex with money that you can afford to lose. My guess is that near only $100, this is not money that you could afford to lose.
Now a highly wise investment would be for you to trade free demo accounts while you revise about the workings of the Forex open market. I always recommend babypips.com as the premier place to capture a free Forex education and you can open out a free demo account at most any Forex broker of your choosing.
While you are study you can work on getting that $100 investment fund increased a little bit. My proposal is that an initial Forex account of anything smaller amount than $2000 is working against the odds.
Good luck and pinch your time. You are on the right track you just want a bit more ammunition.
Paul
Technically you can,
howver its not advised. Most forex accounts are outside edge accounts. When your account drops below a unshakable level. Your trade will automatically be closed. With one and only $100, your account will be closed almost instantly.
If you plain a mini forex account. You are trading $10,000 near $50. The smallest movement, will give you a fringe call. I suggest you enjoy atleast $2,000 for a $50 trade. And, $10,000 for a $50 trade would be the most conservative.
And your profit on a $50 trade. Would be the percentage you gained X's $10,000

How stable Coca-Cola (KO) stocks is?
Question:
I'm planning to put some money there & almost everyday the gain are good. Is this of late a temporary call up or Is this a really solid stock to own?
Answer:
KO's has formed a massive, multi-year reverse go before and sholders formation, and has lately broken resistance at the 2004 highs. PFE have a somewhat similar chart and is another of the stable, depressed, "safe" big stocks.
For comparison, consider what happened to MO that go skyward afer a similar formation in 1999.
I've put a chart out for you of these three stocks vs. the green S&P 500 file.
http://www.fasttrack.net/answers/komopfe...
In summary, there is perfect potential for PFE and KO to follow MO's example . . . but no guarantees. This is classical technical analysis.
Gravity is the most overlooked aspect of the stock flea market, better to buy low sell illustrious, this site may help http://charting-the-market.com/...
KO have been around long ample that it is going to be a pretty stable stock. It will go down some and it will move about up some. All stocks due. Some times they will have a long term of falling.
The best thing to do is read communication about it. I find marketwatch.com a loyal place. Yahoo has a spot for stock souk news.
I do surface that pepsi has be the better investment latley. But they were also the first to grasp on the alternate beverage trend along with have pop division.
Coke has fall behind but can shut in up too. Do notice that pepsi is worth more right presently and today has gone up more consequently coke has. Not buy much more but ample to keep it ahead.
Also due memo that warren buffet has a huge share of KO stock. He was on the board for a long time. I did hear a rumor that he I don`t know looking at dumping coke and going pepsi. but it could have also be that he should be looking at doing that and not that he was thinking roughly it.
KO is a good defending stock.
Blah -- that about define this stock. In about 10 years it may double for you, but you are better sour buying a company that is growing faster than this one.
Try CHL, EBAY, or even T. I similar to those better for long-term.
2 words- warren buffett
Beta measures a stock's volatility, according to Yahoo!Finance KO has a beta of 0.84
Explanation of beta from Investopedia:
"While standard deviation determines the volatility of a fund according to the disparity of its returns over a length of time, beta, another useful statistical guess, determines the volatility, or risk, of a fund in comparison to that of its index or benchmark. A fund beside a beta very close to 1 routine the fund's performance closely match the index or benchmark. A beta greater than 1 indicates greater volatility than the overall market, and a beta smaller quantity than 1 indicates less volatility than the benchmark."
Why are at hand option for stocks that we cannot trade?
Question:
I noticed that for some stocks, nearby are options tabled in Yahoo that we cannot trade. For instance, for CVS May 07 expiry, the option that we can trade are those starting with CVS. But if you look underneath Yahoo Finance for CVS' option fasten, you will find some starting with 'CLZ'. But we cannot trade the latter, and definitely, these guys have a different valuation and strikes.
What are these 'untouchable' option anyway?
Answer:
Some stocks have secondary options that be granted via other sources and sometimes are for odd lots, etc.
Occasionally, they'll be tabled in some route chains. However, it's best to stay away from those option contracts as the liquidity may be smaller amount and it may be for different contract sizes than you're used to.
Further, I've found that in the Yahoo! leeway chains, there's sometimes inconsistencies in what's even timetabled. Over the past month or so, in one piece months of option chains at hand elsewhere have be noticably missing from the Yahoo! display.
Back to your example, I took a look at the options which you mention for CVS and if you exclude adjusted/non-standard way out chains, the CLZ series does indeed disappear from my brokerage displays. When I examined them further, if you look at the contract size, you'll see that there's an asterisk, referring you to the options clearing corp for more info.
Here's the intermingle.
http://oic.theocc.com/classes/contract_a...
Hope that helps!
Edit: It took for a moment while, but with adjectives my brokerage accounts, I have adjectives my option chains evasion to showing just standard option. There's usually a profile page you can use to specify the default symbol, timeframe, which option to show, etc. Try that first and if you don't find it, just contact your broker. And if they can't abet you fix it, change brokers! ;-)
As Yada Yada Yada indicated, the CLZ series consists of accustomed options. The details of this way out are given at
http://search.cboe.com/cgi-bin/msmgo.exe...
If you can trade the CVS options you should also know how to trade the CLZ options. My guess is that your brokerage does not allow on-line trades of in the swing of things options to save you from accidently trading an adjusted remedy. However, you should still be able to trade it by contacting your brokerage and have them initiate the trade.

What is a cheap currency flow multiple for a stock?
Question:
Answer:
Cheap by itself means zilch. It has to be cheap compared to something.
If I articulate something is $18, there is no pro in that. But if i enunciate it is usually $30, suddenly $18 looks cheap. If I say every other stock within the industry is at $25, suddenly it looks cheap.
But if I say it is usually $9, or that adjectives of the other stocks in the industry are at 7, that $18 looks pretty expensive.
So find comparables, any normalized or historical averages, or industry averages, and next you will have a justification for defining cheap for your company.
How about nought? or a negative change flow. That's cheap, but not a bargain.

(stock) Option pricing comfort?
Question:
I need assistance with the following problem for my nouns class. I am really having trouble next to option pricing, and the formulas I find are not helping any, they are not explained impressively well.
A stock is worth $40 today and surrounded by one period will any be worth $45 or $35. The risk-free rate is 6%. What is the value of an at-the-money (American) call upon option written on the stock?
Answer:
Stock prospect pricing is a topic way too big to explain simply here. I hold written a page explaining this to you at http://www.optiontradingpedia.com/free_b... where you also find a pricing calculator to solve your problem.
$40 x 1.06= $42.40
$42.40
What is the strike price of the send for? You might think it's $40 but as an picking trader I'll tell you that it's the compound price (The current $40 compounded by the risk free rate so the time to expiration matter. So, how long is one period?)
Are the two potential outcomes equally promising?
Given that it's an American-style option the volatility also matter. I think you're looking at this incorrectly. Get rather help from you professor.

Thats about as "easy" as it get. Be smart. Do research. Good luck.
INVESTING IS NOT A GAME FOR THOSE IN REAL NEED OF MONEY. PERIOD! YOU SOLVE POVERTY THROUGH WORK, NOT INVESTMENT!
Look at the website you went to, that website is going to attract glum comments. I went to masses different websites. I've noticed more impossible comments than good. But you also enjoy to realize that there are more indolent people contained by the world that won't put in the time and stab to make something work than tricky working go getters! I ordered the program, it should be arriving any sunshine now. A friend of mines to be exact a real estate investor itroduced me to the program. He have made money off of the currency flow notes also but to be exact not his main nouns. he is more into flipping houses. From here I use multiple screen to narrow my test down to several hundred by choosing for instance...

Here are some old warning from the big names:
Buy what you know. If you use the product, likelihood are others too. If there is a better product made then you will will know it sooner than somebody that has never hear of either product.
There is the moat rule. The moat is the company's proficiency to fend of rivals with a better product. There are lots of different types of portable MP3 players, but if you ask somebody to term one, the first name (and probably the one and only name) they give you is IPod. Therefore Apple have a wide moat when it comes to mp3 players. Apple have a narrow moat when it comes to computers. Companies next to wide moats enjoy good grow as long as the moat is wide-ranging.
The future is immediately. There are always adjectives trends and if you do the research you can see how a trend will affect a company. In 11 years, 80 million more Americans will have turned 65. That's around 1/3 of the population and doesn't count those that are already retired. For those that think the adjectives is 15 minutes from now, they don't see the big picture. If you can buy the stocks of the companies that those retired citizens will use, you will probably see a big jump contained by stock prices when those people start using the products. You could enjoy bought XOM for almost $42 in May of 1989, collected well brought-up dividends for 16 years and sold the stock for over $80 during the last gas crunch. All you have to know was be going to be a good fate of another gas crunch when more an more people around the world would drive cars and product things. Of course stocks could even give you even a bigger return if you can spot the right adjectives trends.
Do lots of homework! Go to various websites and looks for stocks that enjoy a combination of strong earning, sale and low debt. They are out there. You can start right here on Yahoo Finance. Do some research and invest soon. They flea market is strong right now and it is a obedient time to jump contained by.
One of the best stocks I can recommend is Quantas Services (PWR). Their earnings come out today and their 1st quarter earning be TRIPLE what they were this time end year. This company builds and rebuilds company infrastructures. This company made a ton of lolly off the Katrina disaster helping companies modernize down there. They are emerging as the person in command in this sector.
I bought it a year ago at $16/share and it is give or take a few to close at $28 today...a 75% increase!! This is a growing company that I would strongly recommend. Get in precipitate because I project this stock to hit $40 by this time next year. Good luck and optimistic investing!
you can invest your money at a stock like AENS.OB. A great protential growth stock beside a 1y Target Est: 36.80 and now its only 0.98. It generates a great sheet of Annual and Quarterly increase revenus facts.
Act now until that time its too late for that.
It would become your first milestone.
