When a stock is de-listed from an exchange, why does Yahoo nouns destroy the ticker symbol equal light of day?
Question:For example, Adobe completed its acquisition of Macromedia a short time ago recently, and the NYSE delete the Macromedia symbol MACR. But Yahoo finance also delete the symbol, so that a quote search for MACR results surrounded by a "no such stock symbol" message. Thus if an investor is unaware that Adobe is the fresh owner, they are completely in the unlit as to what happened to Macromedia. Your competitor at MSN Money Central retains the symbol, and sends you to the page where on earth there is communication about Adobe and Macromedia. Why can't Yahoo be kinder to investors?Answers:
Well, the answer to your final question is... they can if they want to.
I don't hold the answer to your first question. But I do enjoy a tip. If you get 'no such stock symbol', next do a yahoo web investigate on the ticker. The first result for MACR was the fiance page, which when click yield the same result. But, if you click the 'cached' button on the scour results, you see the last agreed good page of that.... so it's the best you can return with on Yahoo I suppose. The cached page shows the merger headline, which would point you in the right direction.

How to buy stocks at the stock open market? What are the requirements? What is the process?
Question:I want to invest on the stock market but i don't know how it works and what is needed. I want to know the process. gratefulness.Answers:
This is just the process for vent an account and starting to trade stocks. Learning which stocks to trade can steal years, and is way to complicated to try to explain here:
To open out an account, stir to a brokerage firm (like Schwab, Etrade, Scottrade; whoever) and get a form to depart an account, or you could only just download the form from the internet.
Fill out the form, and send it to the brokerage firm (or you can drop it past its sell-by date at the brokerage firm).
Wait for the firm to open an article for you, it won't take long and they'll dispatch you the info when its open or you could call/ drop by their bureau.
Now start trading. You would typically trade by calling the firm and telling them what to buy/ put on the market, or doing it over the internet.
This is a very incredibly general explanation, but near are about 100 details you will stipulation to decide for yourself along the channel. ie what kind of rationalization; are you rolling an ira or something into the new tale (the brokerage firm will handle this, you of late fill out another form); do you want a full service broker (more expensive but give you more advice on what to buy) discount broker (less expensive, some advice) or vast discount broker (cheap, but you are on your own in language of what to buy); and many other details.
Of course the brokerage can oblige you with most of the details, but they can't guide you how to choose which stocks to buy/ sell (and moderately frankly the picks given by the full service brokers may not be any better than throwing darts at a newspaper); this factor takes years of trial and error to numeral out - so hey, get going. No time similar to the present to start.
Good luck.

Has anyone tried or checked out any of these and do they work?Answers:
I wouldn't listen to infomercials. They don't guarantee you anything and may charge you lots of fees to take their program. I would take classes or do some research at the library.

All these are scam. If anyone is selling you anything like that, ask yourself: If you know a way to trade name millions, why should you tell everyone and craft money off them?
What they are selling you is a glorified, prettified charting routine. It have some really valid aspects. It can make you money--maybe.
What the chartists do is visually follow trends. The price list, the sales volume, not of late for the day but sometimes within hour increments or even less, the gap and closing prices--these all tend (important word) to indicate a trend (another key word).
We used to forecast weather like that. A splash of storms is in the west, moving east, so it may draw from here by a certain time at that rate. However, at hand may be an intervening winds, illustrious pressure gradient, or even dry nouns, so the storm doesn't make it. Things translation. Factors not obvious on the chart may exist.
In broad there are spot on features you can follow by looking at the picture of the stock trading and following trend lines like 50-day averages or 200-day averages. Schwab have a TV advertisement only just, where a stock be graphed and there be two converging trend lines below it, when the lines intersected the stock started trending down and the indication was to get rid of the stock. There is a place where you might uncap an account and go and get the fancy software for free in demand to follow trends.
That still does not tell you why the troop is going that way. In some cases, if you are quantity of a herd that some stock guru or guru's program is herd along, he becomes a bazaar maker and is competent to trade out just until that time you do, making money just since you do, because he understands what you are going to see and how he have taught you to take action. This isn't bad, merely don't be the last one out of a position, or they will turn the lights out on you. Good luck.
If they have a surefire way of making money within the stock market, they'd be using it themselves instead of trying to provide it to you.
Predicting stock prices doesn't work. Just get some low cost mutual funds and suspend on to them.
how to i pick stocks that will budge up contained by significance?
Question:Answers:
I try to pick stocks that are industry leaders that for some reason are have problems at the time. When everyone one is dumping but the stock has merely a slight setback that is when to buy. I also look to see if the company is buying pay for it's own stock. This indicates that they have looked at the bazaar and have contracted there are no companies they option to purchase or do not or can not expand their products or services. Also if the coampany pays a consistant dividend it usually means it is rather stable. With dividends being tax at a lower rate now (15%), the dividend can mingy a stable company. Again I try to find companies that are in a down cycle but are stable. Others will choose companies that are up and coming within an industry. The major problems near them is they are usually cash poor and if here is a major downturn contained by the market or their industry, they may not own the cash reserves to weather the storm...
Other Answers:
