Is in attendance anyone who can transmit me what stocks enjoy the best historical dividends during or after the summer?

Question:
particularly over a dollar per business quarter

Answers:
Most companies wage dividends on a quarterly basis (Disney is one exception which pays annually). Look at the dividend concede of the 20-25 highest ductile stocks (Morningstar.com will have this as will diverse other websites). Chances are that a few of these will be going ex-dividend this month or next and hence you seize your yield during the summer. A better startegy, ofcouse, if a short occupancy CD or a short bond.

What is the best online brokerage firm to use?

Question:

Answers:
I like Interactive Brokers but I cannot recommend them to a different trader. Scott Trade is the best for a new investor $7 trades and office in most full-size towns.
Stock-king or etrade have be mentioned as cutrate, but be sure you know what you are investing in beside the dollar declining blue chips and gold ingots or precious metals are gaining popularity as capably as Coca-cola, and medicals such as Phizer, angelic luck.
I use and like www.murielsiebert.com. It's smaller than E-trade or Scottrade and trades are a moment or two more expensive ($15). However, if I need customer service or to articulate to a trader, I can get hold of a tangible life American within short order.

I don't buy and put up for sale so frequently that the extra $7 hurts me.
In my mind, Fidelity wins, hand down.

Do I own to redeem shares when I rollover 401k into a Roth? save, how the tariff will be calculated? Thx?

Question:

Answers:
Well, at this time you cannot directly roll over money in a 401(k) to a Roth IRA. In a few years here will be a new canon that allows this, but not right now.

Right very soon, it is a 2-step process. You must first roll over your 401(k) to a Traditional IRA and then convert that money into a Roth IRA, paying the taxes that year. The rollover is not a taxable event, but the conversion is. I am not unquestionable how the taxation will work, although I suspect it will be treated as income (both contributions and earnings) and will be taxed at your marginal duty bracket

When yo roll over the money from the 401(k) to the Traditional IRA and when you convert it a Roth IRA, the shares will be redeemed, and the currency will be sent to the next step within the process. In other words, you cannot transfer mutual fund shares contained by this process ... the shares are liquidated and the lolly is transferred and then used to purchase topical shares.
You won't want to convert to a Roth IRA, you'll want to convert into a Rollover IRA, no tax mess.
I believe you own to redeem your shares in lay down to due the roll over. I might be mistaken on that point. If so I would like to know the source that indicates otherwise.
You can not rollover a 401k directly into a ROTH IRA. You must first roll it into a traditional "rollover" IRA. No taxes compensated yet. If your 401k is surrounded by XYZ fund and you want to keep it in attendance, call the XYZ company and own them set up a IRA invested in that fund. If contained by ABC company stock, set up the IRA with a brokerage company and they will invest the rollover money into alike company. After that is set up, if you want to rollover the traditional IRA into a ROTH IRA, after you pay the taxes on the entire amount and switch.

Since it's announcing profits this Thursday, look at selling before consequently and buying back within after things settle down.

I've noticed that GOOG (and some other "hot" stocks) regularly get knock down at earning time, REGARDLESS of the results. It seem that no results are ever good adequate for some people.

When a broker give a price target surrounded by how long do they expect the price to accomplish it?

Question:
Thanks.

Answers:
That is usually included in the target price but the rule of thumb is 12 month price target.
usually u can expect it to be a longer possession target about 6-12months
Brokers are similar to racing tipsters .. they hold to say something, but (on average) they enjoy no better idea of where on earth prices are going than you do ..

Of course (just like race tipsters) if they make ample "predictions", every so often they win lucky and one of their tips comes in ... so my opinion is to ignore afterwards (actually, some studies have shown that you can sort more money doing the exact opposite :-) )

401k Allocation Funds for a 20 yr outdated?

Question:
Hi,

I am 20 years old working recreational and a full-time student. I am currently enroll in my employer's 401k program. I am putting 5% of my paycheck for 401k (pre-tax) and 4% to buy the company's stock at a 15% discount rate (post-tax). This is the first time I enjoy 401k, and I have no notion in which fund to allocate my 401k funds. I know at my age I should 100% within stocks, but I don't know which type of stocks. I know this might not be the best place to ask, but any help is generosity. Thanks.

Answers:
Most 401k plans don't have extra fees to own multiple funds, so you should be broadly diversified. I can't see what funds you own available through your plan, but I'd recommend something like:
30% Large Cap
20% Mid Cap
35% Small Cap
15% International

Also hold a mix within respectively category of Value and Growth funds.

One thing to be watchful about is giant fees in sure funds. Many company 401k's have much better fees in some funds than surrounded by others, avoid excessive fees if at all possible. It's better to supply up a little diversification if it scheme you can avoid paying excess fees (these fees drive down your returns significantly in the long run). Index funds are great if they are available, they usually enjoy the lowest fees.

Congratulations on getting such an early start on your retirement fund, your financial adjectives should be a huge success!

Edit to supply: Another thought I had... If nearby is any way to put that post duty stock into a ROTH IRA, it will save you HUGE $$ surrounded by future taxes. And if you occur to need the money in the past retirement, you can pull out your contributions (not the interest) at any time lacking tax or cost.
depends on what funds the 401 offers. I am 29 and every 6 months or so I amend my allocation based on the monetary market. This strategy have returned over 15% over for the last 6 years. I also work at an investment firm that offer a huge option of funds.
At 20 you want to involve some risk in need being studip. Large panama Domestic funds should be your biggest % of your portfolio, 25-35% or so, throw some in to mid ro small panama, get yourself some exposure to forgien or world wide-ranging markets, and a small amount surrounded by developing economies.
I other have some money contained by those, then unsophisticatedly go heavey within Pacific/Gold/Tech/Phara/Bankin... based on what the bazaar is looking like. I know that isn't really clear, but short showing you what to look for, when to look for it, is tough to answer on this forrum.
You should have Large Cap, Mid Cap, Small Cap, growth, advantage, and international stocks. Does your 401k include "Target Retirement" (Fidelity calls theirs "Freedom") funds? This is the easiest means of access to get full diversification.
First, download my free book at http://www.invest-for-retirement.com... and jump straight to chapter 23, which will help you formulate your asset allocation.

Chapter 20 also explains why everyone wants at least some bonds. 100% stocks is not a suitable idea, IMO. (Read page 177 to see my explanation.) If you introduce a small amount of bonds into an otherwise all-stock portfolio, you catch a very slight drop in overall return beside a very significant money off in volatility. As I say-so in my book, "A 100% stock portfolio? Don't try it. You are not that brave." IMO, you should enjoy about 15 - 20% bonds and 80 - 85% stocks.

You may want to rethink purchasing your company's stock for your retirement statement, even if it sold at a discount. This places too much of your portfolio at isolated risk with that one stock. Remember Enron?
I completely disagree beside the post suggesting any bond allocation at all. You hold a 40+ year investment horizon, able to ride out any souk condition. 100% allocation to equities is prudent.

15% Large Cap Growth
20% Large Cap Value
20% Mid Cap
20% Small Cap
25% Overseas Large Cap Fund (developed markets, not emerging)

Why is Starbucks stock down 14% on the year even as the S&P 500 have moved 17% the other path?

Question:
It is approaching a 52 week low. They have plans for fast expansion into Asia. Is it an indicator of the stages in the cycle Starbucks is contained by with its expansion? It looks similar to a good time to buy here, especially for the longs. I haven't done adequate research as to why the stock has taken a dip close to this. I am wondering if anyone else has some insight. I do love their company philosophy, righteous management. So, buy or provide...

Answers:
To start with, Starbucks (SBUX - 25.87) is down 27% YTD and the S&P is up 9.36% (with the indes at 1536.13) beside dividends reinvested.

Source: Bloomberg

Starbucks is facing some headwinds. McDonalds has superior its reputation with coffee drinkers after shifting to a premium coffee. Marc Greenberg of Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. was surprised by the consumer happiness results for McDonalds coffee and cut his target price on June 8th from $37 to $32 per share.

He might have be a little behind.

On February 2nd, news stories reported that McDonald's coffee topped Starbucks within a Consumer Reports Taste Test.

Starbucks had be falling since late final year, coinciding with the communication of the national rollout of premium coffee.

Most recently, the CFO of Starbucks indicated that it will be "extremely challenging" for the company to reach the upper target of its profit forecast. 6/21/07

The headwinds: untried store openings slowing profit growth, milk/dairy price increases, and competition from McDonald's.

My best guess: The P/E multiple be just too illustrious for these developments.
They have expanded too speedily, in the process losing aspect control, resulting in a serious dilution of their product "cachet". When you can go and get a discounted latte at Dunkin Donuts, why pay Starbucks prices when you no longer go and get good service and a pleasant environment?

They enjoy also made a questionable foray into cinema.
Because Starbucks was overpriced. It's PE be at 40. Now it's down to about 26 (20 is average), but I still presume it'll drop further. A PE of 40, means the company is growing deeply rapidly. (McDonalds is 17). However, the fast growth of Starbucks stopped happening a couple years ago. Near where on earth I live, there are two Starbucks across the street from respectively other. Oversaturation, anyone?

The bottom might be about $20-22. I don't ponder the expansion into Asia will be that rapid. I saw Starbucks surrounded by Shanghai, but Asians drink tea and the Chinese aren't going to pay 20 yuan for a cup of coffee.

Spy Line & S&P?

Question:
How does the SPY line work next to regards to the S&P 500? I've be told to track the S&P (at the end of respectively month) using the SPY line as an indicator of flea market drops and increases to make better gain with my portfolio.

Answers:
Not my own words... but theirs are better:
The Standard and Poor's 500 index (S&P 500) contains various of the largest companies in the world, so it just makes sense that movement surrounded by the direction of the S&P futures is one of the best indicators of overall short-term market direction (Note: The Nasdaq futures are considered a worthy indicator of technology stocks). The word futures might make this indicator nouns confusing but it really isn't. If S&P futures are up, it's an indication that there is upward pressure on the flea market and the stock market will tend to rise. On the other appendage, if S&P futures are down, it's a sign that there is downward pressure on the open market and it will likely trend lower.

This rise or decline contained by the futures contract is usually calculated as a change from just value. Fair meaning is the equilibrium price for a futures contract. This is equal to the spot price after taking into account compounded interest and dividends lost because the investor owns the futures contract to some extent than the physical stocks. This price is determined over the period of the futures contract.
I would recomend the Motley Fool for small investors they are highly good at picking fail to appreciate stocks with instant future upward perkiness and they are exceptional with call they frequently get upward of 200% and even 300% over sometimes smaller quantity than a month. They are also good at catching stocks untimely on their trends .I recomend checking them out. The summer profit season is coming soon, they won't do you wrong.

Please be alert that the Malaysia's Bank Negara (Malaysia's Central) and MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) have warn consumers not to invests in "Swiss Cash" or "Swiss Mutual Fund". There are believed to be scam.

and recently, the Malaysian Securities Commission have blocked access into this website from within Malaysia. Furthermore, a few Swisscash "promoters" are awaiting trial.

-Please reason twice before you invest here-
I truth them as much as I trust Queen Hillary to run this country.
It depends where on earth you live. If you are from Malaysia then you can't invest because the Malaysian command has blocked adjectives web access to HYIP page and also swisscash. But if you are living outside of Malaysia then appropriate news! swisscash is still growing strongly worldwide.

If you invest with swisscash within four months time you would have get your money back and after that you will procure 500 US a month. There are over thousands of investor globally that have made alot of money from this company.

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/swisscashf... to ask all those ancestors who invested. There are over a 100 investors all over the world within this forum. Ask all those relatives who have put their money contained by to this company, instead of listening to citizens who hasn't and can only speculate on whether this company pays or not.

The declaration is up to you on what you want to invest your money in. The biggest grill you should ask yourself is how much are you willing to risk? and are the rewards ample to justify that risk? All investments involves risk its up to respectively individual on how much risk they can handle.
I'm not sure if this is a scam but a friend of mine have invested $20,000. After 4 months he has bank over $100,000.
However most of this was from commission received after recommend other people. Part of it be also from interest payments. If the company collapses today, then my friend would enjoy benefited from this scam...
