How can i invest contained by the actual stock bazaar?

Question:
i tried to invest in yahoo nouns but whenever i buy or sell stocks at hand, it doesn't even ask me for my credit card number, etc. it seems as if yahoo nouns is just another stock bazaar game.
is it?
because when i invest within stocks using the portfolios in yahoo nouns, it doesn't ask for credit card number so it looks like it's not even taking money out or putting money into my actual credit details.
how can i really invest in the actual bazaar? or am i doing something wrong here?
much help appreicated.

Answers:
Yahoo nouns is an educational / information site . . .
They are NOT a brokerage .

To invest , you must deposit $$$$$ at a brokerage approaching all the ones that own ad blocks on Yahoo ( resembling Charles Schwab ) .

Once you have open the account , you can place the buy and get rid of orders for stocks , bonds , CDs , etc against their website .
No one allows you to purchase with a credit card that I know of .

After you hold an established amount of equity in stocks , you may buy by margin ( a correct % of your existing holdings ) which could become due and payable immediately if stock values should nose-dive .

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...
open a regular trading acct near like TDameritrade or any of the add you see on yahoo finance.
you own to open a trading depiction with a brokerage firm, deposit money into the tale, then you can place directives through that firm. Examples of "on-line" firms are TDAmeritrade, Scott Trade, etc...You won't get any relieve with these firms when it comes to knowing how to trade, you're expected to know what you're doing, so if you net a mistake there's not much that can be done about it. Other firms such as Edward Jones, Merril Lynch, etc...will provide someone to lend a hand you place the trades. Of course, the difference in the two types of firms is how much you own to pay for the trades...help/advise without doubt isn't free.
Sorry, but it doesn't seem close to you have done plenty research to be investing in stocks.
Go to a broker and bring a financial advisor.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/stock_broke...
You obviously are a learner, so I suggest mutual funds rather than individual stocks.
You necessitate to use a broker or securitites dealer close to Scott Trade or Edward Jones. Also, don't ever use one of those recommended portfolios because it may noy properly address your financial situation. Determine what your goals are, risk tolerance, investing skill, and time horizon first. develop a plan and run from there.
The smartest item is to put your available funds into at least 6 different types of shares. Some experts recommend you should put money contained by nearly 20 different shares to diversify safely. Spread your investments into totally unrelated sector, e.g. banking and IT. This ensure if one sector fails to deliver results, you can earn clothed returns from the others.

You should not only diversify across the different sector of the stock market but also into other investment avenues till you develop confidence within the stock market. An intelligent investor will use some portion of their investment money and invest it within secure investments resembling bonds and bank deposits though they provide smaller number interest.

How i can purchase DLF shares?

Question:

Answers:
Hi NItin,
buy it from open souk but for that u need to own a d- mat and trading account both of this can be open with your dune or any other bank.
suzane is correct, because the company is presently listed on NSE and BSE, you can other buy in the lesser market. contact your sandbank.. (example icici, HSBC etc) and then here you'll have to stretch out a d-mat account and next you can use their sites for purchasing and selling shares. I think they charge drastically nominal fees as their commission.
You can buy from open bazaar (stock exchange), through, a broker or you can open a D Mat narrative with a hill and buy. The shares will be at the prevailing, today's rate. Rates could be got from BSE(Bombay Stock Exchange) site.
I agree beside Suzanne and all, but instead of buying it from Bank i would suggest be in motion for some broker as it would be reasonable contained by terms of Brokerage...

Taking into narrative inflation, if something cost lb20,000 surrounded by 1965, what would it cost today?

Question:

Answers:
Thats really hard to voice, because inflation goes up ever year... it's at 4.80% at the moment!

If you help yourself to an average of 2.50% over the past 42 years afterwards your looking at a ballpark figure of lb41,000 purely over double. but these are crude figs!
According to this website (http://www.moneysorter.co.uk/calculator_... it would be worth lb270,753.42

Which is quite different from the other answers! But thats websites for you... But mine claims to be "base on figures supplied by the Office for National Statistics (UK) and shows record figures between 1800 to date". Take your pick.

More importantly, this is measure the difference in price of money between 1965 and today - not things. If you bought a house for that much, it would probably be worth deeply more. If you bought a car, like mad less (assuming it wasn't a classic or antique!). The point man, you only capture very tenuous information around the price of things then and presently by using inflation. Whatever said thing is, to achieve it valued you will need to refer it to a professional contained by whatever pasture is appropriate.

Hope this helps.
$20,000 contained by 1965 would be $132,286 in 2007 (US)
The average wage be lb15 per week in 1965 (lb800 a year).Around London, the semi detach cost lb6000+ (the first to be priced at lb10000 be front page news within 1969). Car tax and purchase excise were greater and petrol more expensive ,as average income buys more litres today.
roughly 160k

Stock option and expiration date grill?

Question:
if it's option expiration date & a substantial number of open interest close by contract calls (e.g., 100,000 calls) are significantly surrounded by the money, and conversely, a large number of widen interest near contract "puts" (e.g., 100,000 puts) are significantly out of the money, how does stk price typically behave on the expiration date?

Answers:
The prime thing near options, is knowning your subsequent move. You want to be in and out. Set a price, stick next to it. It's always better buying a name & put, for many reason. This way you gain whatever thing way the stock go. This is what I like to nickname "chicken trades".

1) Get in and out. Set your price.
2) Chicken Trades - Call & Put
3) If you are worried nearly the expiration date, they have "long call for & put spreads".
4) Me personally, I capture in and go and get out.
5) Make your mark, sort some money!
Research suggests that markets tend to move toward strike prices as expiration near. One reason this happen is market maker hedging in the underlying drive the bazaar toward strike prices.

This applies to strikes with web open interest. If a marketplace maker is long 1000 call, short 1000 puts and short 100,000 shares then that's really flat. Their solely risk is pin risk.

Thus, the answer to your question is here would be no effect because the market is flat. If within were a big network open interest afterwards the market would promising move toward that strike price at expiration.

How does one invest surrounded by Warren Buffet's Berkshire stocks?

Question:

Answers:
Berkshire Hathaway A shares are available and B shares are a 1/30 of an A share. Both trade just close to any other NYSE stock.
you can buy them thourgh any on-line broker but the shares are very expensive.

brk.a $110,710.00 a share
brk.b $3,677.50 a share
Easy.

(1) Get together $110,000
(2) Buy 1 share of BRK-A through your broker

OR you can buy the Class "B" stock for aboput $3600

For bums approaching me who don't have that gentle of money, I just sit hindmost and admire him...
They are traded on the NYSE. Just telephone call a broker or try on line investment sites. It is newly like buying any other stock except their major stock is BRK-A and it's $110,000 for one share.
You could by berkshire shares directly, however, they are very costly. I would suggest that you clutch a smarter approach. Buy one of berkshire holding companies like Geico. It's significantly cheaper, plus it have the financial backing of Berkshire as in good health as it is managed by them. You procure the benefits of berkshire at a fraction of the price.

How much money be contained by the two Bear Sterns Hedge Funds that simply blew up do to the subprime meltdown?

Question:
I've heard that it be $10 billion, and i've heard $1b. Not sure what the existing number is.

Answers:
That depends upon the question you're asking.

As of March 31, 2007, the recitation reports sent to clients stated that the Enhanced Fund (leveraged greatly) had $638 million of assets. It also had borrowed $11 billion to take home larger bets. According to recent reports, that fund is virtually worthless to investors.

The larger fund had $925 million contained by capital as of 3/31 and is reported by Bloomberg to be down 91% this year. It borrowed almost $9 billion.

Obviously, the leverage magnified the losses.

If you are referring to investor wherewithal, then the $1-$2 Billion number is correct.

If you are referring to the size of the funds, next the amount is closer to $21 Billion. How the lenders come out is of some importance.

Wall Street Indices...??

Question:
with the American cutback going to the wall, why is the DJ still making new paperwork? is it another case of 'The Greater Fool Theory'??

surely its gotta furnish up the ghost soon..

Answers:
As the motto goes "It happens"
The DJ is made up of one and only 40 companies. If the other 8,000-odd companies that are publicly traded all reservoir and those 40 keep going resembling gangbusters, most of the US could be in the laying-off line while the Dow continues to set strange records.
1. You voice the economy is going to the wall but you don't make a contribution an example while jobs and high earnings are mortal reported. Stock prices are based on adjectives earnings/dividends not current or past so investors own determined that these numbers will either increase or at lowest possible hold true. If analysts have determined this isn't true, they would be revising earn estimates and the stock prices would reflect these change.
2. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is a price weighted index composed of only 30 stocks. An college workbook book will give you a honourable breakdown on how the index is computed.
3. If you want examples of a "The Greater Fool Theory" look at the dotcoms of the late 1990s where on earth these companies were not making money but they be trading at unbelievable values. Remember a stock effectiveness is based on adjectives earnings and a start up might be gloomy in the short run but eventually is have to: a. make money or b. be revalued at a lower price.
Define "American discount going to the wall"

GDP is strong, interest rates are still near historical lows. Home ownership is at an adjectives time high, dismissal is extremely low, most major flea market indicies are at or near adjectives time highs and inflation remains low. Stock valuation are still very resonable and we are contained by the 5th year of a stong and healthy bull flea market. Business conditions dont get much better than this. Stop letting the medium tell you what their feelings is and start looking at the data yourself, unfiltered.
the cutback is fine...not too fast, not too slow...in recent times right.
