I believe that there are inefficencies that can be exploited. I also feel that there are trends and over-reaction that can be exploited. It's not ultimate, but I believe that you CAN do a little better than the indexes, but it take a little more risk and profoundly of effort.
For me, the try isn't worth it. I don't want to spend 8 hours a day fiddling next to my investments. So in standard, I like the indexed funds.
