you cant choose the best stocks.... you can only choose the stocks that out complete others.... example, look at the past 20 years... how several companies has survived recession.... those stocks are not completely likely to stir down.... then, look at the problems we own today in this world, and a company that can come out next to solutions can very credible to give you a right return.... off course, you cannot walk out out the financial statements...

what does "vend short " expect surrounded by the stock flea market permanent status?

Question:

Answers:
I find it interesting that in every example, you go the stock short, the price goes down, and you buy it support for a profit. Far more likely, I regard as, that you'll sell it short, buy it posterior at a higher price, and pay cheque interest on the borrowed stock in the meantime,

It's something that lone a short-term speculator should be concerned with, and if you're a serious long residence investor, it would be very in danger of extinction the occasion that would beckon for a short sale.

Nevertheless, here is the definition, from the InvestorWords glossary:

Short selling-Definition-

Borrowing a collateral (or commodity futures contract) from a broker and selling it, with the intellectual capacity that it must later be bought rear (hopefully at a lower price) and returned to the broker. Short selling (or "selling short") is a technique used by investors who try to profit from the falling price of a stock. For example, consider an investor who wants to market short 100 shares of a company, believing it is overpriced and will fall. The investor's broker will borrow the shares from someone who owns them beside the promise that the investor will return them later. The investor hastily sells the borrowed shares at the current flea market price. If the price of the shares drops, he/she "covers the short position" by buying back the shares, and his/her broker returns them to the lender. The profit is the difference between the price at which the stock be sold and the cost to buy it back, minus commissions and expenses for borrowing the stock. But if the price of the shares increase, the potential losses are unlimited. The company’s shares may jump up and up, but at some point the investor has to replace the 100 shares he/she sold. In that defence, the losses can mount without check until the short position is covered. For this reason, short selling is a exceedingly risky technique. SEC rules allow investors to sell short simply on an uptick or a zero-plus tick, to prevent "pool operators" from driving down a stock price through heavy short-selling, later buying the shares for a large profit.

Hope this help!

i did say-so just guessing gratitude for the two points anyway
To "short" means to borrow stocks from a brokerage house. You would next sell those stocks as your own, let say 1 share for $20. So presently you owe the brokerage house 1 share of stock. As time passed by the stock falls to $15 a share. You buy it to replace the one you borrowed from the house. You made a profit of $5 dollars.
I know it means to provide stocks/ shares which you don't have. You would do that if you expect that the price is going to shift down, and therefor buy them cheaper before you hold to deliver them.

If you can't get them cheaper, you will later just enjoy to buy at any price. Which is way futures and option close-outs introduces volatility into the market.
As others own mentioned "sell short" is defined as selling an raise objections which you dont own.
If you "sell short" next you have an constraint to give it to the individual who bought it.
It is across the world used by speculators who think that the stock price would walk down. So they sell the stock which they don't enjoy ("sell short") at a marketplace price and then buy the stock for cheap to congregate there necessity.
If actually stock price go down they get money for nought (or one can say for risk they enjoy taken) but if the stock price goes up they loose.
You can own my shorts but don't touch my skirts!

I can best explain this by example (i was confused almost this for a long time too)

Listening to the 8am news I hear XYZ earn are not up to par so at 9:30am (when the market open I buy XYZ for $100 a share. As everyone is panic selling XYZ, the price drops to $90 per share. That's when I buy it to clear good on the public sale I made earlier surrounded by the day making $10 per share.

1.) What according to you is a better investment remedy shares/ mutual funds/ or fixed deposits?

Question:

Answers:
For many ethnic group mutual funds are the best option but not for adjectives. If you are the sort of person who does not yearning to spend at least several hours a week doing research, after mutual funds are the ticket. But at least 70% of mutual funds do not act as well as the flea market in standard, so one must be very choosy almost which mutual funds one is willing to invest within.

There are some people for whom the stock souk is not a suitable investment option. For them fixed deposits are the best pick. These are the type of people who will loose sleep at hours of darkness when the stock market drops 20%.

It is my personal assessment and not necessarily correct that for people who are prepared to invest the time, purchasing stocks directly is the best option. There are several reason for this. One is that mutual funds have to invest billions of dollars. Their option are limited. Secondly, they enjoy high expenses. Thirdly, they tend to churn their holdings which cause capital gain reporting and tax consequences for the investor. But even for those individuals there are mutual funds that can do a better commission than the individual. Those are the funds that invest in small trilby stocks and foreign stocks for example. Their resources in those areas are much better than an individual's.

Other Answers:
I similar to mutual funds/ especially taxfree ones

Good Luck and God Bless!!
What do you want?

No risk, low return? Go with fixed deposits near a reputable bank.
