What exactly is a closed-end administration investment company?
Question:Answers:
Since the term "investment company" refers specifically to mutual funds and part investment trusts under SEC guidelines, more than plausible you're speaking about closed-end mutual funds.
Closed lapse mutual funds trade on exchanges for a commission, not entirely unlike an ETF. They can trade at a premium or a discount to NAV, and in broadly standard terms, can be more volatile than open-end funds.
Most key fund families enjoy at least some closed-end fund offerings, but not adjectives.
Other Answers:
A close-ended investment is one where after you put your money contained by, you can't take any out, or put any more within.
That is why it is called a closed-end investment.
Open-end investment companies, commonly call mutual funds, allow new investors to affix money at any time. Their total number of shares fluctuates as investors purchase and liquidate shares. They trade at net asset importance, in some cases next to added sales charges.
Closed-end investment companies issue a fixed number of shares. After their initial allotment of shares have been sold, no unusual investors can purchase shares from the company. Instead, its shares are traded just as shares contained by normal companies such as Coca-Cola or General Motors, but the company's assets are a portfolio of stocks, bonds, and other securities, similar to those held by mutual funds. A clolsed-end investment company reports its lattice asset value regularly, but its shares are traded at any a premium or discount to NAV.

They are an off-shoot of the grease industry trying to make it as a clean-up group using misuse products to try to produce electricty cheaply. I don't think it's a pious play. However it is very cheap at 20 cents per share.

In hint to Day Trading, it is Hit & Run tactics; a drastically short-term trade, probably just a few minutes previously you close it out. Some people can do this a hundred times a year, or even 200 times. But the people doing this don't own any better success rate than other types of trading. They gain a special break on commissions of only $2, while I pay packet about $10 per round trip for underneath 10 trades per day.
It could also be a trade next to a set time limit of an hour or three, or a set point move. But it's still primarily getting in smartly when you see something, without uncertainty, and getting out as quickly as possible near a profit.
how do i deal in stock bought at different prices?
Question:Answers:
Just sell it through a broker. The price you bought it at doesn't affect the Dutch auction, it just affects the means gains you hold to report on your taxes at year end.
Other Answers:
You speak about your broker you want to sell it.
However you want. Tax code let you pick which lot you sold - can use LIFO, FIFO, whatever you choose.
I don't apprehend your question. Obviously, to put on the market stock you need a broker. Are you chitchat about what to do just about the cost basis? You can use any average cost, or the actual cost basis. Include any brokerage fees that you rewarded to purchase the stock in your cost starting place estimates.

How much money is adequate to product an investment ?
Question:What makes a moral investment with little money? the stock bazaar?Answers:
You can start for as little as $100 a month at most firms, investing systematically, month after month, which is the smartest way to do it by the passageway, whether you have $100 or $100,000. Actually, I know at Edward Jones you can start near mutual funds for as little as $25 a month.
What to invest in? I'd suggest buying a diversified series of mutual funds. Make sure you hit adjectives the asset classes, like Large hat stocks, small/mid cap stocks, international stocks, emerging market stocks, government debt, corporate debt, hi-yield debt, foreign debt, emerging market debt, real estate, commodities, and precious metals. That's 12 category right there, so if you're starting stale with $1000, you're discussion about $83 respectively. Or why not spring for an extra 200 bucks, and start each bad with $100 even?
Then sit support and rebalance each year, rear legs to your original percentage. This is called asset allocation. The thinking anyone, what's BEEN hot is more than likely not going to STAY hot.
This sort of portfolio should average 8-12% per year, so juut split the difference and articulate 10%. Will it do 10% EVERY year? Of course not. I'd be surprised if it ever did EXACTLY 10%. That's an annual average. With that average, your money should double roughly every 7 years.
So, if you start with that $1000 and never make a payment to it ever again, in 7 years you should hold about $2,000
surrounded by 14 years you should have in the region of $4,000
in 21 years you should hold about $8,000
surrounded by 28 years you should have just about $16,000
in 35 years you should hold about $32,000
surrounded by 42 years you should have in the order of $64,000
in 49 years you should own about $128,000
contained by 56 years you should have almost $256,000
in 63 years you should own about $512,000
within 70 years you should have roughly $1,024,000!
A long time to wait to become a millionaire, grand as that compounding is!
Of course, if you keep adding together money in systematically approaching I suggested earlier, say aloud $100 a month, you'll become a millionaire MUCH sooner. The key is discipline, and sticking within when markets are up OR down. Don't try to time the market--you'll NEVER achieve it right.
Here's a handy formula:
$100/month x 12% return x 20 years = $100,000. So if you want $500,000 20 years from now, only just save $500 every month, and progress with that diversifed portfolio. If you one and only average 10%, you'll only shutting down up with $450,000, not doomed to failure either path!
Oh, and if you qualify, and do this all contained by a Roth IRA? Then every penny will be 100% TAX-FREE. That's a deal that's too well-mannered to pass up. That's why I describe all my under-30 clients--if you product under $90,000, and consequently qualify to do a Roth, you'd be a fool not to. Just having the power of youth (and in consequence time) on your side is such an advantage, to squander it would be such a spend!
Hope this helps!

I like adjectives three, each for different reason. E-trade is the most expensive, but seems more innovative. Ameritrade have a really nice platform with lots of research available. It's also slightly inexpensive. Scottrade is the cheapest, and has roughly good service too, so I hold no complaints.

Definitely Scott trade. It has perfect trading platform, 3rd party research and cost floor accounting. These additional features is what differentiate them beside the other brokerages.
All I know is I don't like scottrade because they don't donate much research help, i guess that's what yahoos for
WHAT IS "Day's Range (ECN)"?
Question:FOUND IN YAHOO FINANCEAnswers:
ECN stands for "Electronic Communications Network" for trading electronically which made possible the Online Trader or indicvidual.
It is an electronic quote system that displays orders contained by real time: it's a mixture of parts are Instinet (the earlier one for Nasdaq, exclusive access for roomy block orders and used primarily by brokers), Island (popular because it shows the "Order Book), and SelectNet (which allows you to nouns, and trade with, a picky market maker). I deem SOES (Small Order Execution System -- very popular because it level the playing field for the little guy) is another one, and Bloomberg offer their own, and so does TerraNova Online, which is whom I use, with the RealTick platform; awfully technologically advanced stuff -- rocket science, some right to be heard.
ECN's displays orders real-time, whereas the NYSE solely displays bid and ask.
Without more info from you, or the context, the Day's Range is probably the difference in the High and Low of the stock price on a closing foundation. But when you ask "what is the ECN range?" afterwards it might be the spread, the difference between the bid and ask, or it might even be the difference in price between the different ECN's.
All of these different quote feed cost money, incidentally, unless your broker provides some of them as part of the packet deal.
Check out the citation; interesting stuff.
Other Answers:
Not sure what the (ECN) is for

When purchasing commercial property you want a ratio of 1.25 contained by other words you want to make $1.25 for every $1 surrounded by cost.
