Are at hand any downsides to vanguard mutual funds? are in that any better no-load fund co.'s out nearby?

Answers:
The downside that I have found near vanguard is that even though they have really low expense ratio's, their funds are mostly index, which mode that they are not looked after like an actively manage fund which may have a troop of research analysts, and fund managers. The expense ratio may be slightly superior, but the rate of return should be greater to offset the amount the fund have to pay for the nouns. Also I feel that the trait of the fund should be greater and the chances of the fund remaining on-top of the flea market is higher than near an index fund that is simply trying to mirror the flea market.

Other Answers:

Why have G00GLE stock only just decline?

Answers:
GOOG was trading at extremely dignified multiples (price to sales, price to book appeal, price to earnings, etc). When a stock trades beside extremely high multiples, it's usually because investors are expecting tremendous growth (growth of revenues, profits or both),or contained by the case of GOOG tremendous growth to verbs. When GOOG came out beside their last income report, the CFO said that because of the size of the company now, that it would be impossible for GOOG to verbs to grow at the previous growth rates. That started the decline. The CFO then stated indistinguishable thing contained by the companies 10Q (quarterly report that is file with the SEC) and consequently again at an investor conference. Investors finally got the message and head for the exits.

Other Answers:
The CEO came out and pronounced that growth for G00GLE be slowing. People got stale the band lorry.
Too many general public wanted to buy it's shares when it be going up. It's price was course overvalued. Now that the company is showing that it's growth may not be as fast as some citizens wanted it to be, they are selling. There aren't as several buyers to run up the price so the price is falling. It will continue to decline until it's valuation is more comparable to a great deal of the other similar companies like Yahoo, etc.

What are some of the slumping industries?

Answers:
The slumping industries in the US are those that are any heavily unionized and/or heavily regulated by the Federal Government. Just look at what has happen to the following industries in the US over yesteryear 20 + years which were any government regulated or heavily unionized: airlines (United), autos (GM), steel (U.S. Steel). The subsequent industry to slump, IMHO, will be telecommunication services (think ATT and land-line phone services) - heavily unionized and technologies approaching wireless cell phone service and Wi-Fi/Wi-Max will be the "great destroyer" of the land-line based behemoths. The slump will steal time to occur, but it will, simply like surrounded by any other heavily unionized, government-regulated industry (I could be wrong, though...)

Airlines, American automobile companies, Tourism within new orleans
Manufacturing, Textiles, IT...Real Estate...let see....
in scotland in that used to be a thriving coal mining, steel,
and ship building industry but it has in a minute all disapeared.
Autos, airlines, big sou`wester pharmaceuticals (MRK, PFE, BMY).

A lot of people mentioned steel. Steel slumped years ago. It is very soon booming. US Steel (X) and Nucor (NUE) are at all time high.

Newly formed Primo Water Corp. of Winston-Salem said yesterday that it expects the number of retail stores that carry its bottled river to increase over the next few months.

"Things are going thoroughly well for us right in a minute," said Brent Boydston, the company's vice president of business development. "We're pleased next to our progress."

Primo Water is available in bottles of 3gallons and 5 gallons, which are used near home and office wet coolers. Consumers exchange their empty Primo Water bottles for full ones at Primo Water displays at retail stores. Primo Water reuses or recycle the empty bottles it collects.

For exchanges, the suggested retail price is $5.99 for a 3-gallon bottle and $6.99 for a 5-gallon bottle.

Primo Water be introduced in May. The privately held company be started by Billy Prim, who also founded Blue Rhino Corp., a propane-tank exchange company. Blue Rhino went public surrounded by 1998, and it was bought by Ferrellgas Partners LP within April 2004 for $343 million.

Primo Water said that its retail-exchange program is easier and more convenient for consumers, compared with have bulk bottled water deliver. Bulk water is defined as larger than 2.5 gallons.

This summer, Lowes Foods begin selling Primo Water at its Robinhood Road store in Winston-Salem and at adjectives of its stores in Raleigh and Charlotte. By the conclude of the month, it expects 52 of its 110 stores to carry the product, including adjectives of its Winston-Salem and Greensboro stores, said Dianne Blancato, a spokeswoman for Lowes Foods.

"It's a local product that we think closely of our customers would be interested in," Blancato said.

Gordon said that the initial response to Primo Water has be positive.

The competitive bottled-water industry have experienced strong growth in recent years.

In North America, the bottled-water industry generate about $13 billion contained by revenue last year, according to Jennifer O'Grady of Frost & Sullivan, a consulting company base in Palo Alto, Calif. The largest portion of that total - $9.3 billion - be derived from sales of single-serve bottles, according to O'Grady.
It's not public. All U.S. public companies own to file interrupted reports with SEC, and turn out of SEC's website gives no hits. You can take a little info on company officer through the North Carolina Secretary of State's website, looks like Billy Prim is CEO and CFO is a Doug Fullterton. How reliable are online trading companies that disclaim the correctness of their quotes and other information?

I've been reading Smith Barney's agreement jargon, and have found it to some extent interesting that the company explicitly "does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, sequence or timeliness of the Information..."

Likewise, the OPRA agreement states that OPRA is not responsible for loss or smash up due to "... delays, inaccuracy, errors in or omission from any options information...whether or not due to any NEGLIGENT work or omission on the part of OPRA."

While I realise that this is standard legitimate protection against liabilities, I cannot give support to but wonder: Beyond market forces, what exactly protects investors from misinformation and what motivates trading companies to provide the most accurate information possible? How possible is are investors to 'come up short' in this sort of agreement?

Answers:
You are exactly right within your concerns.

The quality of facts on the web and even the power available to brokerages is TERRIBLE. The primary problem is NOT the daily pricing, but to some extent the handling of dividends, splits, mergers, and other corporate actions that impact total return (what you truly make on a share).

I intuitively make a living taking the standard notes provided by the exchanges and then fixing and cleaning it for use by nation like yourself.

Nevertheless, my services also come near a standard disclaimer which I deeply regret have to use because of potential liability.

The three companies that take notes quality seriously are Investors FastTrack, Morningstar, and Lipper. I would cheer you to use these services in making sensible long-term investment decision.

Other Answers:
They are only as fitting as the reputation they have. If customers started complaining and relating the investment community of bad trade execution and incorrect quotes, those companies would suffer greatly.

A professional trader/investor is wise to hold more than one source of information and quotes. Many of the high running out trading platforms allow you access to accounts at many brokers at once.

btw - Etrade have terrible demand execution on OTCBB stocks!! They all hold some type of disclaimer like this.
