is it dutiful time to buy Aflac stock?

now Aflac is kinda big, but is it a good investment to invest?

Answers:
I do not believe that Aflac is too significantly priced in comparison to the universe of stocks. The company have consistent growth and is selling at about a PE of 16 times 2006 profits estimate and a PEG ratio near 1.0. Another point to consider is that Aflac's foremost market is Japan which is foundation to see a turnaround. And of course it does not hurt your diversification to invest surrounded by a company with interests outside of the USA.

If however, you be already heavily invested in insurance stocks such as PRU, etc. it would maybe be wise to look elsewhere.

You could do a undamaged lot worse than Aflac.

Other Answers:
I sure wouldn't buy AFL when I could buy FSPCX. Get more return with far smaller number risk.

FSPCX is a no load mutual fund that invests contained by insurance companies including AFLAC. See the comparison by clicking below.

what does hui connote contained by stock maket?

Answers:
Two major gold ingots indices dominate the market--the Philadelphia Stock Exchange’s XAU and the AMEX’s Gold BUGS Index (HUI). The major difference between the two is that the BUGS index is made up exclusively of mining stocks that do not dissemble their gold positions more than a year-and-a-half into the adjectives. This makes the BUGS Index much more profitable than the XAU when gold ingots prices are rising, but can also compound its losses when gold decline. BUGS is an acronym for Basket of Unhedged Gold Stocks. The index was introduced on March 15, 1996 near a starting value of 200.

Stocks and Shares - What is volume representive of and how does it affect share prices?

Answers:
Volume represents the number of shares traded for the day (or anything frequency the chart is that you are looking at).

It affects the share price in a ton of ways. The size, polarity, outline, and previous days of the volume indicator, combined with the position/pattern of the chart is the prevalent factor. These patterns will display a different combination of greed/fear contained by every end user. The popular consensus of this fear is what will motivate both buyers and sellers and ultimately determine direction/speed of the share price.

Other Answers:
Not really an expert at this, but I muse it's representative of the liquidity of a stock. High volume stocks like the Cubes imply that any time you want to buy and sell, the spread is going to be pretty tight unless you're dealing contained by really major volume. Those small-cap stock, you might own issues getting in and out when you want to, at a clothed price.

If there's a sudden volume spike, there might be something going on near the stock that day (e.g. word event).

I don't know if has that much of an effect on actual share price. There is lone one reason stocks step up or down: Supply and Demand......

Volume represents how many shares hold been traded within a specific period of time..... If the volume is low & the share price moves.... it may not indicate anything. If the volume is large (based against the average volume).. next you may have a trend (up or down).....

So;
If volume is soaring and there are more buyers than seller... the stock will most likely step up.

If volume is high and within are more sellers than buyers... the stock will most possible go down.
