Investing contained by Silver Bullion?

Suppose I wanted to invest surrounded by silver bullion, partially as a serious investment, moderately for the novelty of have some "portable property".

Suppose I went to a coin merchant and bought several silver 1oz pieces, or a large pole, would I be able to flog them later short excess testing and fees? Assuming that I took and kept possession of the bar(s) to avoid storage fees.

What I expect is when I go to get rid of the bars (back to a dealer) will the process be: "Your bar have the right mass, here is your money". Or will it be more convoluted?

I've hear stories about a entity who took his bars surrounded by, and had to wages for the dealer to drill holes surrounded by bars to ensure that the public house hadn't been hollowed out and bursting with a cheaper metal.

What is a typical pathway from purchase to mart of a bar of silver?

Answers:
If I took one of my bar in to a coin shop to supply, and they wanted to drill surrounded by hole in my J/M serialized inn - I would give them a piece of my mind (loudly) and move out!

you should have NO problem selling them as long as they are a particular refiner / assayer.

As far as the fees - thats a different matter. I enjoy only bought from a coin store, never sold to them. Always deal in to individuals - as they should atleast pay spot price (if price is contained by down trend) or more then spot if price is contained by uptrend. I doubt a coin shop will pay over spot price, as they can bring it AT spot price or just a tiny bit over, and thats thier worst overnight case scenario.

And along the same lines. SHOP AROUND - can't stress that ample. I found that coin shops in my nouns had vastly noticable price differences for the same piece - call respectively coin shop one morning, and ask for the price of a 10oz .999 silver bar. Go drop by the lowest 3 or 4 prices you get - (visit next to empty pockets) purely a get the have a feeling of the place and see if you like who you'll be giving your money too.

I should also enunciate (since you asked), take it next to you! DO NOT pay for storage - its no angelic if you can't get to it when/if you want it. Also, any fees over time will eat up some profit you will get if the price goes up, and it will append to the lose if the price goes down.

If its in recent times an investment, buy in on a physical 'pool', similar to at kitco.com. Its about 1/3 the style down on this page:
https://online.kitco.com/sellprice/selling.html" title="https://online.kitco.com/sellprice/selling.html">https://online.kitco.com/sellprice/selli...
I only mention this as an odds. Personally, I would suggest getting physical if your interested in it.

Last but not smallest - If you do decide to purchase some silver from a local coin shop - PAY IN CASH!! No credit cards, no debit cards, no checks, no name, no nothing - simply pay, read out thanks and take off.

Good luck!

"Nobody buys the actual metal as an investment anymore."
Nobody? really? Check E-bay - find a .999 silver "anything" that sells for smaller number then spot price. 1000's of oz.'s per week are sold on E-bay at what I consider large prices, especially when you take shipping into consideration.

Other Answers:
not really sure but do you really have a sneaking suspicion that silver is a good investment? most silver go to old institution photo development. I can singular see deamnd shrinking from here. still it would be kind of cool to own big hunks of silver.

Did you ever see anyone try to buy anything with a silver stick or buillion?

If you want to invest in silver, the futures and stock market have several methods to own silver, and these market are much more liquid (meaning, you can buy and vend easily) than owning the metal.

I own bought silver bullion in the recent past and had no problem at a coin show selling element bars. I bought Engelhard 1 and 10 oz. bar. I paid a premium over the spot price and be able to provide at the spot price. A dealer usually sell quantities at a profit outside edge of 10% over spot. Many years ago, silver was used within the x-ray and photo industry. Now silver is used in electronics, jewelry, and as a environment of investment. The US still produces bullion coins but now have to buy on the market to produce the collector coins. If you are using money that you don't obligation to live on or for a rainy year, by all channel invest in silver bar and rounds from the companies that are accepted on the commodity flea market. If you decide to invest within rare coins, merely buy from a reputable dealer and just buy graded and certified coins. The same go with silver bullion, buy from a reputable seller and buy genuine Englehard, JM, Credit Suisse bar or rounds. Other easily traded bar or rounds include the US silver Eagle, Canadian Maple Leaf, Mexican Libertad, even the Chinese Panda. Before you buy, READ ABOUT THE BARS AND BULLION COINS. Know their weight, negotiate ample purchases, and have fun collecting. I own never had a problem at a coin show and own even had dealer bidding for my pieces.

What gross the price of gold ingots travel up and down?

what makes gold's price be in motion up or down? Are there any untimely signs to watch?

Answers:
The price of gold ingots is generally determined by constraint, not supply since supply is relatively constant but demand is not. Demand for gold ingots is driven by fear, greed and pause. When there is a withdrawal of fear, greed and dilly-dallying, the price of gold falls. Perhaps it is not correct to vote a lack of greed. There is other greed. It is just that greed can transform its focus. When the price of gold increases greed tend to focus on gold.

The price is also artificial by interest rates. When interest rates are low, as they have be for the past 5 years, money tend to come out of savings and progress into alternative investments such as gold. When interest rates are big, it becomes more attractive to free money.

Now with the U S wage war and the price of grease heading north, and U S jobs man shipped to China and India, there is seriously of fear and vagueness out there. Then as the price of gold ingots rises, it tickles the old greed bone, which add to demand. The certainty that interest rates are now rising is a mitigating circumstance.

Other Answers:
availability, emergency, and inflation. it is $600 an ounce right now

The price of gold along beside other things such as stocks and silver have fluctuating prices due to supply and constraint, but because of inflation you will find that over the long term adjectives of these things will go up It is see as a "secure investment" in times of great financial uncertainty. It's a palpable asset as opposed to stocks, bonds, etc. So when the world discount seems to be unstable, emergency for gold go up. And vice versa.

Can/How Can I buy Copper and/or Tin Bullion?

People invent in precious metals because they enjoy intrinsic value that will remain, even after right to be heard a nuclear Holocaust.

While gold/silver have like mad of value, I be thinking that I could probably do better with copper and tin, they are unproblematic to work with, and you can engender bronze quite slickly with them. I am aware that buying copper and tin is a poor investment verdict, and won't really help me within a survival situation, but what I want to know, is it possible to buy bars of copper and tin (say one or two), and where on earth would I do it?

I say again, I want these bar purely for fun, not as any rational investment. Thank you.

Answers:
Best piece would be to go to a pawn/antique shop, buy a bunch of stuff made next to those metals, melt them down, and trade name a bar.

Individual investors cannot merely buy a bar of metal.. however since those metals are more adjectives, go to Home Depot and look for them, ie. Copper Wire.

If you want to invest contained by them to make money because you suppose their price will go up, buy an ETF or a substantial producer/distributor of those metals, stock.

Other Answers:
After a nuclear holocaust the most valuable trading items will be cigarettes that aren't contaminated, liquer, hose down, food etc thats not contaminated. Diamonds will always be a commodity.

how does option work?

Answers:
That's the definition.. but this is how they work:

Call options: buy if you expect a stock to shift up.
Put options: buy if you expect a stock to move about down.

Options were intended at first as insurance, you would buy pick 'contracts' at a certain 'strike price' that would permit you to buy 100 shares per contract at the specified strike price, regardless of whatever the stock be trading at.

However, many society realized you can manufacture A LOT of money by buying and selling the option contracts themselves. You can also lose everything. They hold higher spreads (usually minimum of $0.10), and plentifully more volatile since they're cheap. Use at your own discretion.

Other Answers:
In finance, an prospect is a contract whereby one party (the holder or buyer) have the right but not the obligation to exercise[2] a portion of the contract (the option) on or before a adjectives date (the exercise date or expiry). The other party (the writer or seller) have the obligation to honour the specified characteristic of the contract. Since the option give the buyer a right and the seller an must, the buyer has received something of utility. The amount the buyer pays the seller for the resort is called the choice premium.

It is most often a derivative giving you the prospect of buying (call) or selling (put) a specified amount of a security in a certain extent of time.

CONFESS YOUR WORST SIN!

Answers:
just confer this guy the points already ---^

Other Answers:
Depends on what you consider to be the worst sin a person could commit. Haven't kill anyone yet... Am I missing out? Probably took the Lord's heading in vain fairly a few times in my time - especially when I thought I was a "holier-than-thou" supposedly devout christian. It took me a long time to realize that the first commandment ability snobbery in God's describe, not saying "God d---it" although calling out to God pointlessly and insincerely is probably also mildly disagreeable as is speaking angry words out at God, although that last bit probably at lowest possible reflects that you perfectionism.

I haven't done a good employment of keeping the sabbath day, so I suppose this win the "most repeat performances" award.

I shoplifted a packet of pudding mix when I was 4 or 5. I well-educated about money and how that works that hours of daylight. I've also stolen innumerable pens (never from a store unless it be the one used for signing the cred reciept). I must be a pen-specific klepto of the office world because pen just save mysteriously appearing in my paw... I "stole" a friend's girlfriend once, which I suppose might qualify for at least one other sin. I still surface bad in the region of it because she was genus of being a tremble for publicly discussing wanting to leave him while he be going through a hard time. High university and immaturity...

I solitary once bore false witness about neighbors and that be in the context of doing something mildly stupid and self-centred that doesn't really qualify as a sin although trying to play it off on someone else probably be. That was... jr large?

It's interesting to note that it seem to me that I committed more sins as a christian than after I decided to be agnostic. Maybe not human being sure what the heck could happen is more frightening than a specific threat of hell?

The worst one though, contained by my interpretation of Biblical writings however is having sex back marriage. It seem to me that, for some of the things Jesus had to vote about it, it's an irredeemable sin because you are other torn away from having a "wife of your youth" because I categorically don't think of myself as anywhere essential my "youth" any more. I think I don`t know most people died by my age contained by Biblical times unless you're talking the crazy-long-lived geezers. So my guess is it be having sex since marriage because it seem that every time I go hindmost and read what Jesus said about it, I quality even further away from being christian, even though reading the bible is supposedly going to bring you closer.

How's that? Happy?

Ebay currency profit?

Has anyone ever used eBay international (across borders)? If you buy and sell contained by another country is there a profit JUST on the exchange of the US dollar for that local currency? Thank you.

Answers:
yes, usually a couple of percentage points

but then again just something like anywhere charges this ... the bank, visa, MasterCard, etc

Other Answers:
Ebay (or paypal or a ridge or an FX broker) earns a small profit when they convert from one currency to the other for a customer because they don't make a contribution the customer the current market rate, they provide them a slightly worse rate.

That doesn't mean though that you (or a mound or anyone) can earn a profit just by converting from one currency to another though. For example, right very soon one US dollar = 11 mexican pesos. Just because 11 is bigger than 1 doesn't mean that it's better to enjoy pesos. At this moment 11 pesos is exactly equivalent in pro to 1 US dollar.
