what are trade union?
Answers:
A group of workers that organize to form a powerful barganing tool against upper and middle mangement. Basically, workers at a company who do adjectives of one type of work, lets voice fixing planes, will all marry a union of plane fixers. They will consequently go to their bosses and gross demands (More money, safer work, better benifits ...) If the managers refuse permission for to negociate, lets say-so ABC Airlines, all the plane fixers will travel on strike. In most cases the unions stick together, so if the plane fixers travel on strike, the baggage handler will go on strike, and the piolits will walk on strike and so on. Basically shutting down the Airline. Management will have a risk return choice. Meet the demands or stop offering service to customers. Most times guidance and Union reps will sign contracts that last 2 - 5 years. These contracts enunciate we will do this and pay that if you agree to this and that. Unions hold to be careful because if they engender irrational demands (like a million dollars a person a day) organization will simply reject the propasal and hire non union society.
I feel Unions are well-mannered and bad. It make sure big business doesn't screw its workers, but it also limits free trade. Most Union contracts right to be heard every person get paid matching and hireing or firing a Union guy must be approved by Union leaders. This makes it difficalt for a company to expand or contract their labor force contained by times of economic boom or recession. Today the United Auto Workers are in parley with Ford and GM over lay off several thousand workers. From the point of the workers, the UAW is making sure they don't obtain screwed (Bob worked for Ford for 20 years and now 3 years until that time retirement they are laying him off). The UAW will manufacture sure Bob gets a wearing clothes severance package and pention that he earn. From the point of Ford, they are loosing tons of money, that is why the entail to lay people stale. By forcing Ford to pay severance and pention and alomost twice as much per worker per hour than Toyota, Ford will probably hold to go into liquidation. This will not only hurt the UAW worker at Ford, but also the janators and department workers and welders and so on who are not going to get the big severance bunch and will probably be the first to loose their petions.

What investments that are export tax favored & will earn me a conservative 6% exist?--i lone own 240$ per month?
What investments that are tax favored & will earn me a conservative 6% exist?--i lone have 240$ per month to use to invest. Basically I am using an ARM strategy on my house I bought, which save me about 240$ per month right sour the top that I WANT TO USE TO INVEST IN. I read an article about this strategy and the author explained that if you invest the differnce respectively month, and did so that got you a 6% return, you would be style ahead down the road, then if the money be just sitting surrounded by the mortage lenders bank...SO WHAT CAN I INVEST THIS EXTRA 240$ a month within?? WHAT SAFE AND CONSERVATIVE INVESTMENT VEHICLES EXIST FOR ME--IN MY SITUATION? AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HOW DO I GET IT SET UP??Answers:
Depending on how soon you want to access the invested money, a possible choice would be a non-qualified variable annuity. The pros are your money will grow tax-deferred, you can build within guarantees that your account will do no worse than 6% or even 7%, and when you annuitize you will hold a guaranteed stream of income for life.
The cons are here is added cost for having the guarantees (nothing is free), you may own surrender charges if withdrawing mney in the hasty years (typically 5-7 years, but can be longer or shorter depending on the contract) and withdrawals prior to age 59.5 are taxable and penalize 10%.
I have to say-so I would be a little worried just about your ARM strategy. It isn't a terrible strategy when rates are flat or falling, but rates are rising. The interest rate difference between 3/1, 5/1 and 7/1 ARM's is not unbelievably great and easily rivaled by 15 year fixed. Remember, your ARM will adjust at some point and you will any have to refinance or adopt the rising rate, and you don't know where fixed rates will be afterwards.
If you are still committed to this strategy, find a financial planner in your nouns.

There isn't a safe and sound and conservative investment out there that will earn you a straight 6% interest rate. Why should a ridge, company, or other entity that is past the worst borrow from you at a 6% interest rate when they can borrow from others at less than 5%? A fluctuating annuity may claim a high interest rate but here is usually a catch, such that your physical return is less.
the best-paying dividend stock over days gone by 5 yrs surrounded by a $20-$40 length?
Answers:
Check out the Royalty Trust stocks. SJT is currently paying 9% per year in dividends.
Other Answers:
The best paying dividend stocks are as you would expect, REITs because by law they hold to distribute at least 90% of the income to its shareholders.
I asume your quiz means other types of companies.
You did not specify if you propose best paying by dollar terms or by concede.
Here is a list of current glorious dividends (I could research a similar list for the recent past 5 years but that would take some of my time and I will hold to charge you for it. Drop me a line if your really inevitability it)
American National $2.96
ChevronTexco $2.80
Dominion Resources $2.58
Ameren $2.54
Hawaiian Electric $2.48
Minnesota Mining & Mfg $2.48
American Electric Power $2.40
Bank of America $2.40
TXU Corp $2.40
Philip Morris $2.32 Well. It is currently a little over $40--$45.27. That is Bank America. It have raised its dividend every year for times past 5 years and 5 years ago it was selling at in the order of $25. Now it does not pay the absolute dividend, but if you look at the current dividend and compare it to the price 5 years ago, it is substantial. The divident currently is $2.00. The dividend qualifies for the lower charge rate also. Some dividends do not such as those paid by REIT's.
There is another company that pays a difficult dividend--Great Northern Iron Ore currently at above 7%. This company has salaried a very lofty dividend for the last 50 or more years. The dividend and the price of the stock are tied directly to the price of iron ore. The dividend is fully taxable though. The stock contained by this company is priced substantially above $40 however. There are other companies such as this.
To find other companies that pay elevated dividends go to Yahoo nouns and do a screen for companies paying above 5.00% for example. You will find various.

As Rich said, a 403b plan is a retirement plan sponsored by non-profit organizations as an hand benefit.
If you are maxing your 401k, the Roth IRA is a good impression, assuming you fall inwardly income limits. Also, if your employer will listen, as of January 1st employer can add the Roth 401k to their exisiting plans. Ask them roughly speaking adding it.
If you cannot qualify for the Roth, or max it out and still want to put money away for retirement, consider a non-qualified unreliable annuity.
