I'm looking to invest contained by a sure company. What is the difference between dividend (2.04%)and yield(9.4%)?

Question:

Answer:
Not sure how to read your question. Usually what you will see for a stock is dividend dollar amount (usually represents total annual dividend amount and the give up (which when compared to the stock price will represent a yield).
For example, If your stock pays a $2.04 annual dividend and the stock price is $21.70, the annual dividend yield for that stock is 9.4%.
Otherwise the total concede for a stock is the sum of dividends plus the growth or decline in the stock price, compared to the purchase price.
Example: Stock price=$20.00 plus dividend of $2.00 plus stock price fall off to $18.00.( Results in a 0% surrender.) Or a price increase to $25.00. Results in a 35% abandon.
Well the way you put it beside both in percentage, one of those is wrong. A company might pay a dividend of $2.04, and to be precise the cash clearing shareholders receive per share. The yield is the percentage of the share price the dividend is - if we assume the stock is $50, later this stock has a 4.08% dividend.
Yield = Cash Dividend Payout/Share Price

How do I CANCEL out of Your Travel Biz (YTB) and achieve my money rear?

Question:
Long story short. Wife attends a friend's "travel" party. After couple of wines... signs up for YTB... $500 initiation and $50/month. She is a trusting being and in over her pave the way with sale pitches. I didn't find out till Visa bill hit. YTB policy is you get your $ vertebrae if cancel in 5 days. Bottomline it's a pyramid scheme. Is at hand a way out or am i out $550? how more or less trying to recover thru Visa chargeback? Thanks much for the relief.

Answer:
My guess is after looking at their website, you're pretty much out of luck. You can tell Visa you are disputing the charges, however, since your wife signed the contract, I don't suggest you'll win. They'll just show Visa a copy of what your wife signed and you're going to lose.

5 daylight cancellation? Most of them at tiniest give you 30 days to try it out. 5 days really sucks.

I only just did a bit of web questioning on YTB and it appears that you and a whole bunch of other general public are in matching boat. Some of them actually tried to engender the program work and when they figured out that they couldn't contained by a couple weeks, they couldn't get their money wager on. I haven't found one yet that manage to get a return in 10 minutes or so of research on YTB.
That is so wrong next to booking travel and getting paid? You can also travel yourself from what my friends are doing. I looked into this and see that it is obedient if you want to travel and do have a computer and time.

Any insight on Vasogen (VSGN) as nearby isnt much communication?

Question:
I have invested into VSGN fund when it was .34/share its up from when I baught it. Rodman and Renshaw (annalysts) hold made there claim that it will be upto 3.00/share inside a year Tuesday the 3rd they are holding a share holders meeting I am thinking af dumping profoundly more into it would you suggest this and why, and if possible provide me beside any references.

Answer:
The best place to pose question like this is the Yahoo message board for VSGN. There is a awfully active community of long time shareholders within that follow the company closely. Recently, the company finally acquired a alien CEO whose mission will be to try and commercialize Celecade, at least within the EU where they can use their technology. However, despite heaps many months of rumors, no partner have turned up yet. As you probably know, the company hopes to own the FDA give them controlled approval based on the lofty tolerance for the treatment with little or no side effects and the size of the Phase III study and the big secondary group that showed polite results. Unfortunately, the treatment did not meet its endpoint for the first group, who have advanced CF.

Celecade and its treatment of CHF based on reducing inflammation have some of the best scientists in the world bringing up the rear it but despite some hopeful signs the treatment works for certain sufferers of CHF, the company is still a long mode away from commercializing their technology. This has forced them to dilute shareholders to angle cash to stay alive. At this point, the stock have bottomed out so I see little short term downside risk. I ruminate the company has satisfactory cash to stay alive for at lowest a year. If they can turn things around, you will score big. (take a look at DNDN for an example.)

I be a long time shareholder but lost most of my money when the company did not meet its Phase III trial goal. Am out now near a big black eye but still keeping tabs on the company. If here is any chance VSGN can turn things around, I will be support in as the treatment could really be a huge breakthrough. Good luck!

Who have the best investment compact disc rate right in a minute?

Question:
Investment CD rates

Answer:
What occupancy CD? Ing have 5.10% 12 month CDs
NO CD is outperforming the best money open market funds and savings accounts. Vanguard Prime Money marketplace fund is paying over 5% right now, and I'm sure some of their rivals are as okay. And ING direct, Emigrant direct (online savings accounts) are paying close to that. The superlative CD rate final time I checked was right below 4%. Plus you enjoy to tie up your money for 3 years. Bad choice.

Check bankrate.com for the latest rate info on respectively of these asset classes.
Washington Mutual is offering 5.20% for 8 months. I went to Etrade and I didn't see any " straight funds account" for 6.5 % !

Washington Mutual also has an online compact disc yielding 5.40%.
CDs hold not been immensely hot for a while... in certainty they are pitiful. Many straight savings accounts are better especially if you already own a checking account next to a bank.

I only just got into Etrade to put together another example. A straight savings statement is 6.5% and you can instantly shift moving to your regular bank side.

edward jones
your best bet is, if you have the time, going online and browsing the self investing option. you will need to wages some attention to your investment to make sure they are ok but it is typically cheaper than a broker who will charge you a percentage for respectively trade. Bank of America has self investment trades online for in the region of 7.00 a trade. there are some other companies out within as well but you hold to set up accounts and transfer the money from your dune before you can start and this can cost money sour the get step. At a bank that offer these services you can setup an account beside that bank to use as you approaching and then basically make deposits at hand when you want to add it to it.
Depends on the amount of money you enjoy to invest. If a small amount, I would recommend buying stocks from the company themsleves through a Dividend Reinvestment Program or DRIP.
You can also buy through online traders like Scottrade or Etrade which will charge a small trading allowance like $7 a trade for any amount. Pick up a copy of Kiplinger's Personal Finance or Money magazine to read the ads on online traders and links to varied company sites for DRIPs. These have effortless to read and comprehend articles for novice investors. Then as you would expect there is the mutual fund option- cheapest method is to invest directly through the fund company (T. Rowe Price, Fidelity, Vangard, Janus), but tthese usually have a minimum investment of $500 to $1000 or so. They do the investing for a great deal of people and within turn charge a small percentage fee (choose no loads first).
Do yourself a favor and consider using any excess currency that
you won't need until retirement or 59.5 years of age and win a Roth IRA where adjectives profits are tax free when you cancel it. Again, IRAs are discussed in detail contained by the Kiplinger's and Money magazines regularly.
