Question:

Answer:
The Black-Scholes model is a mathematic model to determine to value of an likelihood, as the previous two answers indicated. As originally published, given

the price of the underlying,
the strike price of the option,
the amount of time beforehand expiration,
the implied (expected) volatility of the underlying, and
the risk-free interest rate

the model will give

the advantage of the put option,
the significance of the call route,
the delta of the options,
the gamma of the option,
the vega of the options,
the theta of the option, and
the rho of the options

for a European-style option that do not pay dividends.

If you do not know what "the greeks" are see

http://www.investopedia.com/articles/opt...

Modifications for American-style option and dividends have immediately be incorporated in the model

Some of the concepts within the model are

The distribution of prices in the adjectives will be lognormally distributed.

The underlying security will be indeterminate to the risk-free interest rate. (For example, if the underlying is a stock trading at $100 per share, the options expire contained by one year, and the risk-free rate is 5.2%, the peak of the price distribution bell curve will be at $105.20.)

Options positions may be hedge with long and short positions contained by the underlying. (This presents a problem when the underlying is a stock and there are no shares available to be shorted.)
its a equation to plus a bond on the open marketplace.
It's a way to effectiveness optionsdon't know what the other dude is talking something like?!!??
Originally it was an equation to effectiveness European options.

Why the stock open market drop so much on second tuesday 27.02.07?

Question:
i want to know the reason why.

Answer:
its a preview of things to comes. Grennspan's yap didn't help. But Asian market are down another 500+ points today and Europe is bound to follow. There is a call to start buying from Deustch Bank http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=2... but today or this week is NOT the time. In reality I'm close to going on the sidelines today and fully expect on the sidelines by the end of the week.

The problems are recession fears, the sub prime mortgages which Wall Street have finally caught on as Satan's Spawn and geo political tensions. Pay CLOSE attention to the feed board when they meet.
Greenspan said we will most probable have a recession surrounded by last quarter of 2007.

Lots of race late on their loans to the bank and got repossed

China raise the interest rate over their.
It just made some corrections for a choice of reasons. It will come rear legs. It's a good time to buy presently.
Investors had be anticipating a drop for months and when they finally acknowledged its existance, they all sold into hysterics. Most of the actual panic occured around 3pm due to a industrial glitch at the NYSE causing the open market to appear to drop 250 more points in 30 second. Percentage wise, tuesday be not the worst day historically, but since we have not had a daytime that bad since 2003, it shocked lots.
Every time I look at my portfolio, it has gone up another 10% or 15%of course I individual ever look once a year or so...
The best reason I hold heard for the drop this week is that it is simply attributed to a middle-of-the-road correction that the market experiences from time to time. Nothing more, nil less. Market have been trending up for sometime immediately, and downturn should be expected and welcomed by savvy investors. Many of the overall marketplace indicators remain relatively positive. Still a good time to invest.
Considering how big and complex the souk is, there isn't going to be one single explanation. If you want a summary of my thoughts, check out http://www.valuestockreports.com/022707

How to become an independent financial advisor?

Question:
i already have adjectives my licenses ( Series 7&63) and duration but i dont want to work for anyone e.g. Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Met-Life since their payout is smaller then what you can earn if you are independent. Is here any firms out there that hold a program for independent advisors.

thanks

Answer:
Edward Jones is semi-independent. You do draw from your own office and secretary and set how unyielding and often you work.

If you are trying to be truly independent, I do not ponder there are that various places that will give you a program for self independent.

Are you experienced? If so, consider becoming apart of the Fee-Only Financial Advisors or a CFP (Certified Financial Planner). If not, I would recommend getting some experience (for 3-4 years) from a firm like Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, or Smith Barney. It will minister to you once you do go independent.

I be once an independent financial advisor, so please contact me at szulcc@gmail.com if you would like more information roughly the process and how I did it.
Is there such a piece as an IFA anymore? I used to work for a pensions and investments company and we be told that we were no longer allowed to refer to them as IFAs, purely Finacial Advisors? I'm pretty sure this happened at our competitiors too. No concept why. Would be nice to find out why
You might try hooking up with lawyer who do settlements or estate planning,. Or an income tax return service is a upright fit for investment advisors. Looking at their tax returns is a apt start for investment advice. Form a grating with relatives who deal beside others who may have money to invest. Kind of similar to being subcontractor for the investment portfolio portion.

Can I invest within USAA? (buy stock contained by the company)?

Question:
I can't find the USAA ticker and I assume it is not publicly traded. Does anyone know who owns them or how to buy some of their company? If anyone is going to do well, it is USAA.

Answer:
USAA is a mutual company (one owned by its customers). Other mutual companies include Amica Insurance and Northwestern Insurance. They don't hold stock outstanding at this point. Many former mutual companies have elected to become public companies by issuing stock, and usually, the customers are given the opportunity to invest in the just this minute issued stock, often at an attractive price. (Don't verbs these "mutual companies" with "mutual funds." The two aren't related at adjectives.)
USAA is not a publicly traded company.

I am a member and adjectives I have to influence is that the company and its products/services are outstanding. I wish some of my relatives could sign up, but they don't join the eligibility requirements.

I did find an outside answers website with some pretty comprehensive information something like USAA.
You cannot buy market stock contained by USAA. You become a shareholder of sorts by purchasing insurance with the company. Each year dividends are returned to insurance customers.

USAA does hold an Investment Management Company and manages its own funds contained by both Brokerage and Mutual Funds. Though this is not related to your question, it could be something to look at. Currently they are offering trades as low as 5.95 next to certain specifications. They are normally awarded by J.D. Power and Associates but don't get public write ups because it's a private company.

What is uninformed risk and open market risk?

Question:

Answer:
I don't like the residence "random risk" because its anything but fickle; the term I use is "specific risk" because it is the risk related directly to investing contained by the company you are. If you buy, say, Apple (AAPL), the specific risk could do near them not selling enough iPods, the iPhone not one successful, etc.
Conversely, market risk (also know as systematic risk) applies to adjectives stocks. There is no way to diversify flea market risk - examples include economic slowdowns, war, and the like.

There is alot of intellectual writing on risk if you are interested. If you have a college library fundamental you, they are bound to have some interesting books... at smallest, I find them interesting.
Hope this helped.

How much money do you entail to start an IRA?

Question:

Answer:
depends on the company...some do it for $500, I know some a $1000...I think there's one that does it for $250, and I know one that does it for $25/month if you agree to do a PAC monthly draft.
It patently depends on the company.

I have checked into both sharebuilder and ING; both own very low requirements for starting out.

I thought sharebuilder be a winner, until I realize that they were going to charge me a $12 commentary management excise every month. (Considering I was solely planning to put $25/month into the account for the subsequent few months, that wasn't really a good return on investment.)

If I've read ING's info correctly, they with the sole purpose have an annual allowance of $10 and they don't have a minimum investment amount. (I established to wait till I compensated off my 2006 taxes previously pursuing it, so you'll want to read the fine print on their web site.)
You can unfold an IRA at any financial bank near no minimum balance but they might charge you a keep fee every year.

If you want to avoid fees you can open out a NO FEE IRA at a broker like Scottrade and they require a minimum go together of $500.00.

How's trading contained by Bank of America?

Question:
any experience? good? flowing?

thanks

Answer:
Their platform is pretty much like as any of the other online brokers. Bank of America's brokerage unit (called Banc of America Investments) is pretty fitting with trade pricing (especially when you hold more than $25,000 in assets beside them, you get $0 trades).

If you're looking for for a time more advanced usage and have more experience, try a broker resembling Interactive Brokers, Options Xpress, or otherwise.
Bad. Their service sucks and they will charge you hidden fees.

How is the circuit cut-off date for Stocks approved for the Indian stock marketplace ?

Question:

Answer:
Well researched answer:

Circuit Breakers

The Exchange has implement index-based market-wide circuit breakers in compulsory rolling settlement next to effect from July 02, 2001. In addition to the circuit breakers, price band are also applicable on individual securities.
Index-based Market-wide Circuit Breakers

The index-based market-wide circuit breaker system applies at 3 stages of the index movement, either agency viz. at 10%, 15% and 20%. These circuit breakers when triggered, bring about a coordinated trading halt within all equity and equity derivative market nationwide. The market-wide circuit breakers are triggered by movement of any the BSE Sensex or the NSE S&P CNX Nifty, whichever is breached earlier.

* In skin of a 10% movement of either of these indices, at hand would be a one-hour market halt if the movement take place before 1:00 p.m. In skin the movement takes place at or after 1:00 p.m. but previously 2:30 p.m. there would be trading halt for oe hour. In grip movement takes place at or after 2:30 p.m. in attendance will be no trading halt at the 10% level and souk shall continue trading.

* In valise of a 15% movement of either index, nearby shall be a two-hour halt if the movement takes place back 1 p.m. If the 15% trigger is reached on or after 1:00p.m. but back 2:00 p.m., there shall be a one-hour halt. If the 15% trigger is reach on or after 2:00 p.m. the trading shall halt for remainder of the day.

* In grip of a 20% movement of the index, trading shall be halted for the remainder of the afternoon.

These percentages are translated into entire points of index variations on a quarterly starting place. At the end of respectively quarter, these absolute points of index variation are revised for the applicability for the next quarter. The entire points are calculated based on closing smooth of index on the last time of the trading in a quarter and rounded past its sell-by date to the nearest 10 points in baggage of S&P CNX Nifty.
I think the circuit ceiling for a stock is decided by the stock exchanges according to the concert of the particukar stock. A group companies have high circuit limit (35% max.) and Z group copmanies hold less circuit cut back ( 5%) (anilmanoharh@yahoo.com)
The Circuit Limits in the Stocks is arranged to regulate the manipulative or one way price drugging of the Particular stock, Regarding the Limits, Exchange monitors the fluctuations and later reduces or increases the circuit filter of the stock.
If particular stock increases/decreases 10% on two consecutive days next the Exchange may reduce the circuit filter to 5 %, again if consecutively increase/decrease continues exchange may again dwindle it to even 2%.
The Circuit Filters are decided on the Fluctuation within prices and volume of the Shares traded.
For the Group A Shares many out of which r also contained by the derivative segment the Circuit filter limit is free which have even given extension of 40% a day any side, We saw it few days back within the case of IFCI Ltd.

What's the stocks that are goin up the most right very soon & i should invest contained by?

Question:
list as oodles as possable & include their symbols also. & of they have tentative products or are in the word for good things include those details & include how you know this [& website you used] please & gratitude you!

Answer:
Virginia Chick,
Remember back surrounded by the 1990s when a lot of race either retired rash or became magnificent? It was relatively simple. With stock prices going up, up, up, I know a lot of ethnic group who simply invested part of their paychecks. They concluded up with several hundred thousand dollars surrounded by profits from their constantly rising stocks.

I knew others who have already amassed several hundred thousand by the time the stock boom came along. They be millionaires by the time the 1990s ended.

Ah yes, those be the days. Today it's a lot harder. Stocks don't appear to do much any more. You have to invest within risky emerging countries to see much return. And that chance can evaporate overnight taking your money beside it.

When the stock market won't bring you any return, most nation turn to real estate. But housing prices hold peaked in most cities, gist you can't just buy a house and sit on it for several years to earn a large nest egg.

So does that mean we own to give up on ever getting ahead and only learn to be delighted living the average life our job can provide?

Not necessarily. These days you have to reflect on differently to get ahead. For example, you've notice how manufacturing and job are heading out of North America to foreign countries. That's bad word for many workers, but it's GREAT communication for some segments of the Foreign Exchange Market.

You see, when we buy products from China, or Japan ships products to England, adjectives kinds of currency have to change hand and be converted. There is BIG money in that process.

FOREX, the foreign exchange souk, handles 2 TRILLION surrounded by transactions EVERY DAY. That's far more money than what Wall Street handles. Just something like anybody can jump contained by and pull out pretty a profit for themselves by participating in the FOREX process.

Does adjectives this sound a bit spanking new to you? Most North Americans have hear very little more or less FOREX. They've got BILLIONS of dollars sitting surrounded by savings accounts and low let go investments that could make them a LOT more money within the Foreign Exchange Industry.

What can you swot up from investing surrounded by stock open market?

Question:
It's for a project I have to do. What exactly can you swot up from investing in the stock bazaar?

I wrote how unpredictable it is and how hard it is to choose what stock to buy. You can never know for sure how the stock will do over an extended time of year of time.

Answer:
There is a difference between what one can learn and what one does swot.

For me, I learned the not easy way to cut ones losses fast, take a short time of your profits off the table after a significant rise within stock prices, avoid high PE stocks close to the plegue, avoid speculative stocks for the most part, avoid tech stocks also for the most piece, put a fair portion of you money into index funds and mutual funds so you don't own to spend too much time baby sitting it, try not to enjoy more than 30 stocks in your portfolio because it take too much effort to save track of them, keep weed out the underpeformers and replacing them with stocks next to greater potential. Alway have a in shape cash reserve and tag on to it as stock prices rise, so that when they drop you can take profit of the situation.
You can reference sites resembling economicinvest.com that does research for investors, and identifies what investments are poised for the best growth and returns.

perfect luck on the project.
you can lose all your money
u must be displine. stop hogging on to losses and make a clean breast your mistakes.
You can learn how to lose alot of money physical fast, but instead you can also make money valid fastit's unpredictable...you never know what the next daytime holds.
You should also add to your index the following:

a. How to develop a disciplined thought process

b. Money management because you enjoy to chose between alternative investments and determine how much to allocate to each investment

c. Understanding of risk and return trade-offs

d. Quick finding making processes because you have to read extensively, digest the fabric read, understand it and bring in an investment decision without delay based on that information

e. Great research skills because you enjoy to find and process so much information in proclaim to be a good investor.

I could dance on and on but those are five on which you can write at least one page.

Good luck next to the project.
You learn how communication and politics effect business. You learn nearly companys. "The only gurantee surrounded by the stock market is change" It go up, down side ways but what effects it most is news and politics.
You can read out you learn discipline. Meaning you brand name out a plan and you stick to the plan. If you think you will save making money without re-evaluating your positions, you will problably lose money.
Playing the stock flea market is like playing poker...you not single play your cards, you play the other players at the table.
Many lousy company's stock skyrocket because of investor/analyst hype. Many great compay's stock go nowhere because the company/industry is "boring" to the hyping marketplace makets.
To make $$$ within the market, win in on the major edge of the hype & flog when all newswires and analysts love the stock because soon this stock will crash when the anaysts and marketmakers start to court the subsequent stock.
In other words, the stock market is not a numbers spectator sport, it's game of reading human spirit.

How do I buy stocks?

Question:
I want to buy stocks but I have no clue what to do, I'm basically trying to make money on the side beside stocks. Where do I buy stocks? I really know nothing something like the stock market.

Answer:
Now is not a well-mannered time to invest in stocks. Instead of stocks, you should try prosper.com. But singular invest in loans next to a credit rating of C or better and a DIT of less than 20%. I hold had tremendous nouns with Prosper. Most of the loans I've funded hold at least a 10% - 18% return. A lot better than any disc and safer than the stock market! Good Luck!

Check out this article from the NY Times.
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/02/13/techno...
Many relatives make a living working from home trading stocks. You could start near as little as $500. I suggest you go to www.scottrade.com or www.tradeking.com. Follow the instructions and start an account and deposit anything money you want. After that go to nouns.yahoo.com and read up on some investing 101, stocks 101.

That will give you a obedient starting point and you may even be able to start trading in a week. Keep in mind some culture make surrounded by excess of $100,000 each year by investing. But don't procure greedy let experience be your guide.

Good luck.
take home sure smelly ones ,,,,
CONTACT TO YOUR NEAREST STOCK BROKING POINT OR OFFICE,

There they will help you,

You want to satisfy convinced formalities,

It depends upon the region(Country) in which you are living.

Not to verbs, Yu too can buy stocks,

Wish you GOOD LUCK.
The best way is to revise about the stock open market first. I have recommended everybody to read the book, "Understanding Wall Street", which give you a basic practice on how the stock market works. I suggest you filch some classes in stock investing at your local community school, which are very inexpensive and will furnish you basic awareness of trading. Learn about Technical Analysis, hugely important, in the past you invest. There is great information on stockcharts.com, charts, tech analysis, Murphy's law, etc...Once you gain your feet damp, take classes next to a professional trader (more expensive), but worth it.

You can open an commentary with Etrade, Scottrade, Ameritrade and so on. I prefer and use Etrade.

Stock marketplace trading is just approaching any business, you need to own knowledge, self-control, a strategy/plan, become a good money manger, and cut losses extraordinarily short. If you do enjoy the process next you have a agitation for it and you will become successful with time.

Good luck.
Open an a/c beside www.tdameritrade.com, send them a check. Once money is deposited, you can buy and go stock thro' them.
If you really don't know, you shouldn't be buying stocks. Instead, you should start investing in a pious no-load mutual fund and adding to it as you can. Ideally you want to put the money into a Roth IRA.

If you really want to start next to stocks, you should make sure you own enough to fashion it worth it. You'll need roughly $25k in currency.

Good luck!

How do you find out how much a Sara lee stock is worth? that be bought surrounded by the 1980?

Question:

Answer:
Sara Lee is worth $16.31 a share right now. However, if this stock be purchased in the 1980's in attendance was a 2 for 1 split contained by Dec. 86, a 2 for 1 split in Dec 89, a 2 for 1 split contained by Dec. 92 and a 2 for 1 split in Dec. 98.

So, you whip the stock price x the number of shares you have and that's what it's worth.

You a moment ago need to amount out how many shares you own.

How many shares did you start near? You should be able to integer out how many shares you own now if you know the number you started next to. There were two splits surrounded by the 80's though so you'd also need the actual purchase date.
