A Plc giving dividend 4 various years, this year wishes to invest profit no dividend, does it work for company?

Question:
i have to present a topic comparing dividend and investment which one is moral for company and for shareholders wealth. althoug chronological many years company declared dividend to shareholders.

Answer:
Once within away, any Company may stop distributing dividend, payable to share holders. This increases Company's capital basis, so that the amount can be invested back to the development/up gradations. Though the share holder may disappoint surrounded by that particular year, in fact it is benefit to them in long run. Economically it is recommended, to increase availability of lolly. If capital increases, Company become stronger. If EPS increases, readily the share holder can expect good dividend contained by coming years and also possibility of getting bonus shares.
...which one is good for the company and shareholders riches? Can't say one is and the other isn't, depends what the company requests to spend the money on.
Good for company and shareholders: new equipment that is to say more efficient, or to replace worn out equipment that cost more to uphold. Buying a competitor that is a virtuous value.
Not polite for company and shareholders: Spending the money on bonuses for themselves, new equipment a moment ago to put nice pictures in the annual report and brag, "we are a modern company," Buying a upright value company contained by an industry the management know nothing nearly just to become a "conglomerate" (that is approaching buying kitty litter thats on sale, even though you enjoy a dog. It won't be used and takes up space). Or moving a factory out of England to a "cheaper" country, lacking paying any attention to the political backlash (like Henz is trying to do with HP sauce).
It may be the travel case that this company has not be making enough money and have to "Suspend" the dividend and are just using spin to maintain not paying it out.

If It was a company I have stock in, thios would be a red flag and I would deal in.

A good company does not suspend dividends as it other keeps some "retained Earnings" for doing extra things within the company.
From the statement what can be inferred is that the company seems to be making profit consistently. This is reflect from the regular dividends that it has be giving for many years. Let us look at respectively aspect .

Shareholders Point of View: Each share holder owns a part of the co. whenever dividend is affirm the value of the share falls on transcript date by the amount of dividend per share declared (But share price may move up and down on day of adjustment hence race do not see this adjustment). Now assuming that the S/h had 100K invested within the co of which he got stern 10K thro div at time T1. After a year if the co. value have appreciated by 20% then his invst advantage in co. would be 108K. if he be able to invest his 10K and earn a return of 15% on it after his total wealth at close of yr would be 108K + 11.5K i.e. 119.5K. If the co. did not declare div and the return on stock be 20% then he would be vanished with 120K which is more than what he is not here with if he received the dividend. If the company have a sound biz model and have a good return on equity later the shareholders who remain invested will benefit in the long run.
Interestingly Microsoft never declared a dividend until 2003.

Co. Viewpoint: If the company desires to grow (expansion of capacity of inorganic growth) it wishes capital. Profit if distributed becomes retained income which is a part of wealth for the company. If the biz model is sound and the company can argue it ROE then it would specifically make sense for it to retain entire profit. Especially surrounded by circumstances like today where on earth full capacity utilization is reach or in a scenario of mergers the company desires to have satisfactory capital to facade these challenges. The co. can any raise income thro a public issue or retain profit. Cost wise it is more updated to retain profit.

Stock Mkt effect: In the short run there will be a refusal impact on the stock but over a period of time it would rest if the company is able to execute its strategy properly.

Question nearly commodity trading, specifically wishy-washy sweet crude?

Question:
I'm thinking about making a play on grease. I'd like to buy some sort of contract betting that the price of grease will be higher by subsequent fall, speak Nov or Dec 2007. I'm not sure what would be the best and easiest way for me to cause this play. I would like to breed an investment like a call upon option where on earth I only risk the premium. Are nearby call option on oil? I've found futures contracts on grease but it seems to me that you hold an unlimited downside risk with a futures contract? I resembling the fact that downside is constrained with a send for option. Any warning or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer:
uso (etf) is your better option but read this first

http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/p148...
Yes, within are options on crude grease.

In fact monthly option, and strike
prices every 50 cents.

DO NOT DO FUTURES CONTRACTS unless
you really know what you are doing.

Be aware crude options are ungodly expensive.

There are strategies such as going long a call upon
at say 55$ (and let say a DEC 2007), and later shorting
a nearby (say March) 65 ring up. This way you arent out
as much.

I cant cart the time to explain all the strategies beside hedging options(and plus's and minus's), but a good
futures broker can.

I use Dain Rauscher Futures surrounded by Minn Mn,
1-8OO-888-7885.

Addendum: I just checked next to Dan, and
a December 56 call is 6$ (6,000$).

dec crude is trading around 55$.

hope this help.
The choice on whether to use a futures or futures option comes down to how much property you have to risk, and how you're going to protect your position very soon that you've decided to favor the bull trend. Picking the position isn't so influential as how you manage the position you've put on.

You can stir long the December Light Crude contract and place a hedge on it by going short. As the price moves up, you can adjust your short beat about the bush to lock in profits, thereby limiting the risk inherent contained by an unhedged futures position.

With options, you can do equal by purchasing your December call picking ATM and hedging it with a long December put ATM -- what's referred to as a straddle. If the straddle is too expensive for your taste, use a strangle and buy your December call and put OTM.

However you place your position(s), picking your bazaar and your bias is the easy section. It's management of the trade that's the most difficult, since so lots of us are more interested in one right than being profitable. Make sure that you deal with your risk by creating hedges for yourself, and stick to strict trading rules that cut-off date your losses.

If you've any more specific questions, quality free to contact me at Liverpool Derivatives Group at jkinard@liverpoolgroup.com.
Just buy a Light Sweet Crude ETF.
There are a few different ways to play oil. Futures is a risky and expensive means of access. The site below shows 4 different ways.

Are here any pros confident plenty surrounded by their fitness that they can gross money on those jargon?

Question:
The mark of a pro is that he will throb an amateur in a series of bets within the area of expertise. Financial experts should thrash the market, which is composed of in part amatuers like me, and to some extent of pros.

It occurs to me to contribute a sum of money to a pro for management on these language. Invest it NYSE & NASDAQ listed securities. Each time, if the value have gone up, the pro gets 50% (yes, 50%) of the profit, and the attraction is re-baselined for the next sunshine. If the value expediency goes down, the pro contributes his own income to make up the loss, bringing the good point to what it was at the start of the light of day.

Are there any pros confident plenty in their aptitude that they can make money on those expressions?

Answer:
I am sure there are adequate pros who are able to do what you resist them to though it is not easy!! However if they could they probably are and I am rather sure they are not going to give you 50% of the profits... but I don't infer that is your examine you want to know if the scenario is possible, right?

I would however not set a one day target as battering the market everyday is not natural. Most stocks do not move very much within one day, most big change occur over masses months and sometimes years!! Warren Buffet the greatest investor of all times does not buy and market stocks daily. He doesn't even see what the souk is doing; he knows what it is doing inside his lead, he just sometimes checks up to engender sure people aren't person stupid!! Day trading does not make you an investor it make you a gambler and I know I would have more fun at the casino making a bet my money away than on the stockmarket (where I can't dress up nice and buy a drink when I feel close to it... also the atmosphere inside a casino is very exciting)

Are you in fact looking for a day trading pro to do this for you? Unfortunately I don't judge you will find someone if you are, since your challenge, though enticing and well-mannered for you is not very apealing to the pro. Having to salary out 100% of the loss is painful even to a pro :-) However the closest you will capture to this is a mutual fund that will guarantee you your start amount. This is a very risk-free method of investing and while it doesn't have a completely high return (since it is so locked and the money to make up for losses have to come from somewhere) the money manager will tender you 100% of the profit (after fees of course) and that is also better than giving away 50% of the profits...

If you do find a pro liable to take you up on your donate let us know!! If you don't and don't want an insured mutual fund next I would advise you to study investing so you can pulse the market yourself!!

Good luck anything your goals are!!
the answer is NO!
No. Nobody is going to adopt 100% of the downside risk for only 50% of the profits on the upside.

How sustainable is the bull run contained by the indian equity open market?

Question:
Last five year shows bull run in the indian equity open market. What are the factors responsible for it?

Answer:
monetary groth
if one has the cheek to sustain the stock market will never agree to one down but pl invest in apt sensex firms only. at least possible they are creditable
Where I come from there is an outmoded saying. What go up must come down. India is growing rapidly. No doubt around it. But the prices of the securities has discounted that and after some. Remember last May? It WILL develop again. It may be happening as I write this. Prices are already sour more than a few points.
last hope is 12700

more detail on my blog
1. 8% Economy growth that India is poising
2. Increased expenditure surrounded by household
3. Money flowing into equity markets instead of traditional FD/CDs

I'd stress on point 3 right presently, as there are numerous article covering the first 2 fo ryou to read. When I be young and saw that my dad get an FD, I was thrilled to hear that somebody would truly pay us more money (principal + interest) when we deposited within a bank. With whomsoever I have an opportunity to interact with during those childhood days, when asked in the order of investing, I was other faced like peas in a pod answer ... put your money in a dune FD and get the interest.

Off postponed what is happening is that percentage of monthly hoard that get translated into a edge FD is reducing. They are finding newer routes for investment. Example, Mutual Funds, Stocks, Hedge Funds etc. Where money starts rolling in price starts shooting up. It is for this judgment that our FM Mr.PC has vetoed forward trading in unmistaken commodities in establish to control inflation (this is afaik).

There wouldn't be a bull ride if there be no economic growth. India is showing signs of monetary growth (only in urban areas), since in attendance is something positive happening within the country, the money that has flowed into equity market are increasing the prices of underlysing assets (stock, realty, MF NAV etc). As an Indian, if I were asked the give somebody the third degree is India truly progressing? My answer is negative.

Just because we see 5% of population spending incessantly on booze, partying, cell phones ... it doesn't mean India is shining. There is the rest 95% which is struggling. Remember in that are lot of Institutional Investors who still haven't given India an investment grade for their portfolio. FII's are coming surrounded by, they are only small percentage of what go around the world. I will give you an analogy, FII investment around the world is nearly $300 billion, India gets around $5 billion.

Imagine what if we be to attract higher % of FII investments, where on earth will the index be 40,000!? Possibly yes.

Speculation, is what I think have kept this bull ride!

Help?!!?

Question:
I'm going to create a game for a carnival. I'm thinking of making a dart hobby hit the bull's eye win an ipod shuffle PINK ... for 2$ at a distance of 14 ft or more... help any thinking? would you wanna go try and win an ipod shuffle... HELP wit(GAME,COLOR,DISTANCE,$ amount to play... TARGET (GOOD/BAD) any other GAMES...)

Answer:
The article about successful carnival games (for the business individual anyway) is that their level of difficulty desires to be great enough that you can believably expect to take surrounded by more money than it costs you in both supplies and prizes, AND that it desires to look easy ample to convince people they want to try to win your prizes.

Are you charging $2 for one dart throw, or for more than one dart throw? At a distance of 14 foot or more, you'd have to be a pretty accurate shot to hit the bulls eye. Some people are unbelievably good next to darts though, so you might want to do something funky approaching put together special darts that are weighted at the put money on to throw off the uninterested dart-thrower.

The real trick near carnival games is that most of them look easy but are usually relatively difficult. I won't be trying your darts out though. I'm basically as likely to hit the dart board as miss it, agree to alone the bulls-eye. ;-) I think others would close to it, though.
I think that's a great belief! Are you going to have more than one Ipod? I'm going to start practicing! Where/When? JK
You might capture more interest by just offering a dosh prize. Cost you less too. Heck when I be a kid, we did that to win a plaster cupe doll. Only cost a quarter back consequently. But back later a quarter was worth around $2.00 today. Cupe doll was worth nought.

Best of luck, hope this gives you a head.
