Investing Questions and Answers

Buy High, Sell Higher, stocks surrounded by american market nominated any of choice?

Question:
Buy High, Sell Higher

How many times own you heard the phrase, "buy low, trade high"? This is the conventional wisdom surrounded by the investment world, but research shows you shouldn't be concerned with that sector about buying low. Let's waddle through this one step at a time. Research shows that the best-performing stocks make investigational highs up to that time they make their crucial leaps surrounded by price. Moreover, stocks at new high tend to continue moving difficult, while stocks making new lows tend to verbs to move even lower.

This is a concept many investors find difficult to adopt. They assume it's too late to buy a stock that's reach an all-time high. But the great paradox of the stock souk, as Investor's Business Daily Founder William O'Neil calls it, is "What seem too high and risky to most investors is feasible to continue rising. And what seem low and cheap usually goes down."

Think roughly it. If a stock goes from $15 to $50 it have to reach current highs at $16, $17, $18 and so on. Stocks making current lows, on the other hand, manifest inherent weakness.

Just by applying the laws of supply and emergency you can see why new high are important. When stocks credit, they're demonstrating growing demand as investors elevate their expectations about the company. On the other appendage, stocks making new lows are usually afflicted by only the opposite: floppy expectations. Yes, there's plenty of stocks in the quibble basement, but they're here because the merchandise, so to speak, isn't hot.

Some stocks may have enormously strong fundamentals or great stories, yet they don't shift up because there's little investor interest. So while you wait for a stock to be discovered -- if it ever does -- other stocks are moving into the spotlight. The spotlight, within a way, is the new-highs detail, such as the one that appears daily within IBD and is explained later.

Stocks reaching bright highs report you professional investors are moving in and pushing prices complex

Answer:
try Microsoft, which is soon gonna roll out its retail version of Vista
and Infosys [Nasdaq listed], which just this minute gave out excellet nos.
You are VERY right. Buy dignified and sell difficult.

Good upside movement stocks:

SHLD, MSFT, AKAM, SIGM, SIMG, AAPL, BBI, LVLT to mention a few.
Easy..Go to the following links and enjoy the Buy High and Sell Higher concept. By the method, if you really like doing this next subscribe to IBD since they are the inventors of this scheme.

Careful nowWhat go up comes down, and if you are not watching them closely, or the stock does not have a leg to stand up on it's own (with the momo players), you will be standing, holding the rucksack of goods.

Good luck.

REIT Investment?

Question:
Investing in REIT funds provides a steady stream of dividents, but these dividents are tax at the normal income rate, unlike other mutual fund investment dividents. Thus, my give somebody the third degree is... if I am in my thirties does it generate sense to have some REIT surrounded by my portfolio? Obviously for someone retired, this investment vehical has lower tariff implications. So I see this as a grades degree... with small percentage untimely on and possibly growing as I age. Does this make sense?

Answer:
Bear within mind some of the dividends will be reclassified as return of principal (box 3 in 1099s). Trouble is, you won't find out until you receive the 2nd revised 1099 from your broker sometime during the 3rd week surrounded by March or later. So don't expect to obtain your taxes done early.
I also like (notice past tense) the dividends and held reits. If I be back surrounded by my 30's again, I would stay with growth stocks/funds next to the "qualified" dividends and capital gain. Then I would (as I am doing now) go near tax-free (both federal & state) muni bonds instead of REITS. There are some closed end muni funds that hold a very similar duty equivelent yield. Some say-so you should have some REITS to diversify but it is possible to be too diversified. My standard all around mutual funds hold reits in them. Good adequate for me.
You should take a look at the returns of REITS over the end 5 & 10 years (Look at KIMCO, symbol KIM, or look at several of the many no nouns Mutual Funds available).

American Century Real Estate Inv Mutual Fund (REACX) is up an average of 23% a year over the past 5 years.

The growth of the network asset value make the dividend look insignificant.

Bottom Line: REITS should be part of your ASSET ALLOCATION. My guess 5% - 10%. (Make up your own mind on that).

Once you look at the charts you'll be amazed. I just got within 2 years ago.. I wish I have done so prior to that! IGNORING REITS HAS COST ME GROWTH !.. don't do the same!
Put reits surrounded by your ira that way you avoid paying the ord incom divs. Look at UITs that enjoy reits in them, keep turnover lower.
REITs have a place contained by your portfolio even if you are in your 30's, for diversification purposes. Buy funds that invest contained by REITs...that's a good road to diversify... and have added growth potential.
They're a good solid channel to invest in concrete estate without the headache of direct property ownership. They should part of a mix, not the bulk. Do your homework. I would not choose one whose chief business is residential. Too risky for me. Commercial properties are good and I muse it's also time to look ar REIT's that specialize in retirement residences. That is a growing segment. Also I judge industrial property ownership can be risky as well. The best piece about whichever REIT sector you choose is you go and get geographic diversification immediately. You not investing within 1 region and risking localized economic depressions. They can be a great quantity of you portfolio's income segment. Do it, but do your homework first as with adjectives investments.
REIT dividends in a Roth Ira are never tax.

Answer:
Quite simply, you must buy the DXD
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=dxd...

How in the order of war bonds?
Your hard work will be blessed ONLY if you do this on my behalf, you know, because America has mistreated me...

Political ideology isn't a exceedingly good motivation.
yes, look at ETFs such as SPDR, and DIA... at hand are many to choose from, and they hold lots of options available.
Hey, are you the guy that be selling home fallout shelters a few years ago?
Define the collapse of america. If you are talking nearly an economic collapse, you want to shift long treasury bonds and short the dollar.
If the economy collapses, the feed will cut rates. This means that the bonds you bought very soon (at a higher interest rate) will be worth more.
If you are conversation a complete governmental collapse on an apocalyptic scale, you want to short treasuries, as the ratigns will deteriorate and society will sell them surrounded by droves.

I find your assertion that America will collapse later this year significantly unlikely. But that is what make markets.
You could buy QID, but I doubt if you really own any money, just a dumbass trying to bring in a stupid statement.

i can hold onto the money for at most one year til i would need to use it

i dont want to put it into anything risky
wht are my option ?
And what is a good wall to deal near ?

Answer:
You do have ample for a one year CD. Go to www.bankrate.com to find the extreme rate in the nation, and still insured by FDIC.
in your favour
1 yr CD is as risk free as it get,, and not a bad rate of return right very soon,, expect to make around $125 to $130. interest.
You dont enjoy enough for a glorious yield Money marketplace account or disc at most banks. I would suggest you check into goverment stash bonds. 100 dollars in money bonds after 5 years will net you $6,630.
Good detailed cross-question.
You can check rates at Bankrate.com
HSBC Direct is my preference.
They are present 6% APY for new money, no min. deposit.
It's better than most CDs.
I approaching HSBC Direct's online savings because I can intertwine it to my regular check at HSBC bank.
You can verbs money between the account to max your nest egg.
Let you money work for you, even $100 at 5% APY is still $5.
After tax, it's still at virtuous amount.
I have over $200,000 surrounded by HSBC Direct, getting about $900 surrounded by interest every month.
I don't recommend putting so much in one guard because FDIC only covers $100,000.
They should tweaking that amount to $300,000.
It's being $100,000 since the 80s?
Most citizens put it in regular hoard and getting less than 2%. Information is success.

CDs and investments?

Question:
In my portfolio, I calculate the percentage of currency, bonds and stocks that make up the portfolio. Recently I've begin buying CDs. Are CDs considered cash, or bonds, or some other category? I'm finding that if I tag on their value to change, it seems resembling I'm holding too much cash. Any suggestions?

Answer:
CDs are mostly considered bonds.

Cash is generally considered change, checking, savings, money marketplace and any other fund that can be immediately tap without cost. The key definition is usually direct liquidity.

Bonds are interest bearing debentures, of which a ticket of desposits are. CDs generally enjoy short maturity expressions, flexible investment amounts and onerous selling language (e.g. you lose your interest). Sure, money market is technically a summation of completely short duration bonds that are pooled together as collateral against a more liquid pool. And yeah, technically you can put on the market your CDs if you forfeit your interest - but that's splitting hairs. The industrial key here is that "bonds" helpfulness vary base on interest rates, either directly or through reinvestment risk.
CD's are close to bonds, same concept with smaller number risk

Is swisscash a nontoxic & reliable investment?

Question:

Answer:
hey,
i just read ur grill about swisscash..swisscash is already a topic that have taken attention of many residence of malaysia including me..i be taken aback by the offer and be about to invest surrounded by plan A(newbie plan).i have done my homework on the subject of swisscash and i believe that swisscash is a fraud..for your viewing, please have a look at the following adress
http://www.worldlawdirect.com/article/19...
this may relieve you to rethink of your decision to invest surrounded by swisscash
No one offering those kinds of returns is going to be past the worst and reliable. They have too much stress on sales and not adequate on what they are doing. They look like a take rick quick cook up to me. I wouldn't mess with them.

The problem is a deficit of information. If you are looking for high risk/high return investments look at something that doesn't try to fool anyone just about what it is.. look into junk bonds or some in their natural habitat stocks.
Is investing in shares out of danger? with investing within are always risks and it's up to respectively individual to assess their risk level and solely invest what they can afford to risk. If you are a low risk taker then don't invest surrounded by something like swisscash, only just put your money in a mound and earn 5% a year. There are always risk contained by everything you invest... even if you think it's a sheltered investment a classic example is ENRON. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/enron)... Once thought to be the most safe and stable company to invest within on the stock market ... but yer in the future they went broke. If you can't handle risk after put your money in the mound.

I just want to craft it clear that swisscash is not registered in Switzerland... so near is no surprise when the Swiss embassy made a statement that swisscash is not registered in Switzerland. If you are going to do your homework do it properly.

Another point I would approaching to point out is why is everyone skeptic about making a big return? Do you know that property investors like Robert Kiyosaki (Author of rich dad poor dad) make 10 times the money he invests in? and his wife invests within multi million dollar property deals that make more than 300% returns. People who are rich are rich because their mind is not restricted by limited thinking that big profits can't be made, they know how to brand name very sizeable returns. They also have big money so they are investing contained by opportunities and deal that gives completely high returns which aren't available to small investors.

I own been within Swisscash for 6 months and have be paid every single time (to see ridge statements email phi_eba@yahoo.com.au) To label Swisscash as scam entail proper investigation and finding so called DD. Swisscash hold carried out over 70 million of USD to investor worldwide. Do you think a scam hold the guts to spread to countrys like UK, US, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia..etc. The FBI enjoy been aware of this company as hasty as 31-8-2006 but have not properly declared this company as scammer although warning from others (Baseless claims) have been made as not to settlement with this offshore company. Over 72 millions of profits and commission have been compensated to SwissCash investors, financial planners and consultants in the first 8 months(Since April 2005 to Dec 2005). In 2006, they overt markets to China, have 15 china banks and 1 world local ridge (HSBC) working with them. Do you muse banks own not done any DD before they commit to work near them ?? The FIU have already stop their operation early contained by year 2005 and 2006 if they are dealing with investor money dishonestly. They are suppose to monitor money laundering ,terrorism financing or any dubious activities.( see :http://www.fincen. gov for for information) . The FIU net (involve with 100 countries) did not did not stress that swisscash is a scam.

Oil prices?

Question:
Does Yahoo finance own historical prices of oil? What is the ticker please?

Answer:
The CBOE ^OIX is an index of 10 companies contained by the oil industry, not the price of grease, accordig to the CBOE website. Yahoo! pulls up the USO quote anytime there's a news story in the order of the price of oil, however, this is also a doomed to failure proxy for the price of oil since USO is an ETF of grease futures. So, in short, no.
It's be years since I watched that commodity, but I seem to be to remember the symbol for the oil index is OIX. You can't BUY it, however.

I deliberate the best investment right now is by far the Foreign Currency Exchange Market, also specified as the Forex. One can earn interest on up to 400 times his or her money. And not only earn interest on, but place trades using that amount as very well, with no assets or credit checks. The bank have agreed this secret for years, this is where on earth they produce a large percentage of their income. But, not until nearly 1998 was it really introduced to the public, gratefulness be to the internet. There is only one problem though, 95% of relations lose their money within the first 60 days. I be searching for a means of access to invest in the Forex, but wipe out the guesswork, and eliminate sitting contained by front of the computer all daytime. I came across FreedomRocks, and it truly be one of a kind. I hold been using the system very soon for about 3 months, and I own averaged a 34% return monthly. Is mutual fund apposite to invest or stock flea market.?

Question:

Answer:
Stay away from "individual stocks" if you are completely new to investing. It is a difficult spectator sport to master.

I would also visit vanguard.com you will revise anything and everything about mutual funds at hand.

Just my opinion, but if I have a chance to start over I would hold gone with ETF's (exchange traded funds) instead of mutual funds.
both can be honourable or bad. The stock open market is more difficult becuase you need to consider so several different criteria. So if your not sure, pick a reputable mutual fund to invest in.
Many mutual funds own a substantial portion of their holdings in the stock marketplace, so by investing in them you're doing both. If you hold a fairly small amount, perchance a few thousand dollars or less, to invest, stock-based mutual funds can be honourable because they spread your money out among a number of different stocks.
Since you are unknown, try spreading your money out a little by getting a SPDR (verbally call a spider), or DIA (called a diamond).

These are also called ETFs, or exchange traded funds. They own trivial maintenance fees, and will diversify you rather well.

You can buy shares contained by SPDR (traded under the sybol SPY), or DIA from any broker. Since you are internet savy, I would speak to go try out a cheap discount broker similar to Scottrade (minimal service), or Charles Schwab (more service). And avoid the full service brokers.

Try looking these things up yourself on Yahoo Finance. Buying a SPDR would be spreading our your money over the whole S&P500 index which is essentially the largest 500 companies surrounded by the USA. A DIA is the Dow Jones which is basically 30 thoroughly large companies within the USA representing the general strength of the US.

Most mutual funds dont even do as well as the bazaar, and I dont buy into gthier being safer consequently the market. When you are in place to invest on your own, try making a diversified portfolio of a dozen or so stocks. You can do this on paper merely to get some practice.
Depends on whether you are a untried or experienced investor.
If u r new investor try diversified equity funds and try to gain more culture about the functioning of the stock flea market.
If you are experienced investor you can still invest in mutual funds within a systematic manner over a long interval and also invest directly to gain benefits.
A good portfolio should be diverse. Try a Van Guard mutual fund.

Do some research on IPOs (initial public offerings) and invest within those you think will bestow you a good return on your investment.

Blue chip stocks are historically the most solid investments you can form over the long run.

Stay away from penny stocks, and don't trade on margin.

Check out the Motley Fool.com. They enjoy a plethora of information to help you settle on what to do.
I highly recommend you to invest contained by mutual funds first. Once you get more experienced next to investing and more educated, stocks may bring a highly developed rate of return than the mutual funds.
