ING Direct Traditional IRAs worth it?

Question:
I'm looking to purchase some mutual funds (Traditional IRAs) for my 2006 tax write-off since the deadline comes in April. ING offer several ranges of risk/reward levels of mutual funds. Does anyone own anything good or bleak to say around their funds?

Answer:
ING is an average fund company. Many of their funds have "loads" (commissions). If you entail advice they'd be "OK". A great "loaded" fund clan is American Funds.

On the other hand;
My wife and I with the sole purpose buy no-load funds. We have done totally well vs. the loaded funds. (there is no statistical difference between the behaviour of loaded vs. no-loads, LOADED just costs a in one piece lot more).

You can buy good funds through Schwab or Fidelity Brokerage. or turn to the fund families directly. Some examples are;
Vanguard (best costs, angelic funds)
T. Rowe Price (good performance, honourable pricing)
Fidelity
Dodge & Cox (great International Fund)
Artisan
Oakmark
etc.

You may also want to check out ETF's like IVV & SPY. You can't capture cheaper & they'll beat most Mutual Funds (over a 10 year period).

Good luck. Your #1 mission is;
Pick funds with low costs (internal fees and no-loads)
Don't pick the "best" fund of concluding year.
Have an "Asset Allocation" in mind

PS: As a nonspecific rule; Avoid banks and Insurance companies for long occupancy investing.
you are better off beside an investment company than a bank.
If this is your first mop into the market, I ruminate you should use a more established company. Try looking at American Funds. Many options, and adjectives with much longer track paperwork.

How should I invest my money?

Question:
I don't know much about the stock marketplace or even a money market details or how it works. I would like to any put the majority of my savings contained by a C.D. or a savings rationalization and a little bit surrounded by the market. Can someone explain what the best item to do is and explain the differences between the stock market and a money marketplace?

Answer:
You really need to edify yourself some. Get "Investing for Dummies" at the bookstore or your library. That will give you a unsophisticated background and answer plentiful of your questions better than we can.

Basically a money flea market account invests contained by short term corporate debt instruments. It currently does not salary a very glorious return, maybe 3 to 4%. A disc pays about 5% and is insured by the U S system. Money market report is not insured.

Over the long term an investment surrounded by stocks, through a mutual fund or better yet several mutual funds is awfully likely to return going on for 10% annually or perhaps even more. Over the short residence, it might actually loose some money. There are abundant good mutual funds but also several that are not so good. If you want to start out near just a incredibly small investment American Funds is very dutiful. $250 minimum investment. They have heaps different funds to choose from. If you want to invest at least $2000 contained by a mutual fund there are masses no load funds to choose from. Royce Funds is one of my favorites. They are both on the internet. You can step to their sites and learn give or take a few them.
Mutual Funds work the best. Contact Vanguard and set up an account. If you are a aggressive investor, that scheme you want to see returns right away. If you are a moderate investor, that means returns will come, but by a slower rate.
Stock marketplace has difficult returns on your investment but there is risk, you own to have experience within order to play the market. Why don't you take some classes contained by investing at your local community schools, which are really inexpensive. Also, read this book, "Understanding Wall Street".

Mutual funds could be biddable for you, you will let a professional broker invest your money for you. You will hold to open an article with a brokerage firm or I don`t know your bank can do this for you. CD's are markedly safe, but returns are little, as interest rates are low.
prepare your self so you do know about the stock bazaar and what ever you are interested in. INVEST YOUR MONEY ON BOOKS that train you how to be financially literate. theirs plenty of them. watch financial TV shows listen to financial radio, but what ever you do invest to win do not invest not to loose. Be aggressive and don't stir with something that is to say "safe" because it is safe a out of danger way for u to put aside your money letting inflation decrease the appeal of it C.D.'s are not aggressive u almost loose money when u can be gain at least 4 times that. don't appendage your money to someone Else to do it for you or take warning form someone u dont even know on a website. make yourself financially literate that's THE BEST INVESTMENT!
You are guaranteed to lose purchasing power within cds after taxes & inflation. False safety. 5% cd - 25%tax = 3.75% vs 4% inflation - you enjoy more money but worth less. Numbers redeploy but result does not. No need for professional supervision help but don't ruin your adjectives by hiding in a edge. Investing does not mean speculating. ADX PEO EAF SNH a solid core of holdings you can buy at schwab.com or any other broker. Don't permit fear & poor proposal drag you down.
I suggest 100% in the Stock Market beside the help of a Financial Advisor.
Please do some research and digit out what is best for you. A financial plan needs to be tailored to the human being. Depends on your risk tolerance, goals, age. You should be diversified to minimize your risk. Head to the book store. If it's too overwhelming give somebody a lift a class through your community or consult a CERTIFIED advisor.

Can a 16 year-old instigate an justification and invest within stocks?

Question:
thank in credit.

Answer:
Hi,

There is a way to invest surrounded by stocks without a broker and if you hang on to reading I will tell you how.

The method is call DRIPs.

A DRIP is a Dividend Reinvestment Plan. It offers indidual investors, even a15 year out-of-date, a cost-effective way to build equity contained by a stock.

The DRIP is run by a corporation and it allows people to brand cash purchases of stock or to reinvest dividends (if any). I own a DRIP program with Goodyear Tire and Rubber, but it run into problems a few years ago and stopped paying dividends.

You only want one share of stock to become eligible. In some cases it can be purchased directly from the company, but normally requirements to be purchased through a broker. You could have your parents spread out up an brokerage account and purchase the share within your name.

There are no fees or commissions when you reinvest your dividends.

There are lots of companies that do this - over 1000. The company like them because it's a low cost way to bring back capital or currency for their business. Because of that companies welcome modern investors into their DRIP plans.

What makes DRIP popular is that most of the plans require remarkably small cash outlays even as low as $10, some as low as $5.

Some of the world's largest companies similar to IBM, AT&T, and McDonald's have DRIPs.

Very magnificent investor like DRIPs because it allows them to bypass the broker's commisssion which lowers the investors cost of investing

Another benefit is certain as dollar-cost averaging where a fixed amount is invested on a regular argument. The stock rises and falls with the open market, but by investing periodically, the average cost of the shares tends to average out and not be artificial by the market swings.

Liquidating or selling your shares can be a problem because brokers want to win a commission for selling and buying stock for investors, but the company will buy them back contained by some cases.

Dividends are considered income and used to be taxed by the IRS, but a amend in the directive makes them non-taxable. But if you vend your shares and make a profit you enjoy to pay export tax on the profit. There are two types of taxes for profits or capital gain: one is short term and costs more than the other humane of capital gain which is call a long-term capital gain and that occur when you hold a stock for more than six months.

Goodyear Tire and Rubber's stock symbol is GT, but don't invest in this one because it doesn't clear a dividend yet..

YUM is the symbol for Yum! Brands, Inc and they own Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Kentucky Fried Chicken on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

This Web site have a list of DRIPs: http://www.directinvesting.com/...

To find DRIPs that reimburse good dividends, look contained by Investors Business Daily, Barrons, or the Wall Street Journal. There is a column that has dividends and return %. Most don't wage as much as a Treasury Note or a CD, but they hold earnings growth to counter that income disadvantage. Than look them up in the URL above.

G00GLE this keyword "DRIP lists" for more Web site. Be cautious. Some of them charge a fee to sign up.

Im pretty sure you cant, you necessitate your parents to do it on youre behalf, either that or you stipulation some kind of parent consent form file.
No, not without it individual under your parents moniker.
I believe you have to be 18...my mom tried to go and get me and my sister seperate credit card accounts and just regular checking accounts and he said my sister could but since I'm just 16, I could only find a savings justification...so I highly doubt you could invest contained by stocks. Sorry! :(

Good luck! ;-)
Requires parental permission. Set it up beneath the Uniform Gift to Minors Act; the stockbroker will know how to do this.
I recall someone younger than that somehow thru his dads accounts he not just was trading...he be manipulating the flea market on message boards and was making a hefty amount of cashuntil the feds come knocking and took the computers and jr away.

Maybe, if you can take the phones out of your ears long enough, you might certainly have ample money left over surrounded by your savings sketch for a rainy morning.

Share renting within the stock souk??

Question:
Does anyone know about renting shares contained by the stockmarket?...If so how hard is it to do, how much money do you have need of, how do you go in the region of doing it? thanks..

Other than share renting, does anyone know anything on FOREX?...is it a upright investing technique.

Answer:
I am enjoying investing surrounded by the Forex market much more than I ever did investing surrounded by stocks or options.

The forex marketplace is the largest most liquid souk in the world next to almost $2 trillion a day man transacted. Until fairly lately Forex was the exclusive domain of investment bankers, multi-national corporations, national bank and deep pocket investors. Now anyone can contribute in the flea market with simply a few hundred dollars.

The problem with the Forex open market is that it is very natural for the uniformed and uneducated to suddenly lose their money. Many people study charts and graphs and historical currency price appointments and make an "educated" guess at which means of access the market will move. The issue is that in attendance are so many elements that can impact the Forex bazaar that it is hard to consitently guess correctly.

I prepare my clients how to establish conservative long term investments contained by the Forex market that are not dependent on an individual currency double act going up or going down. We don't care which bearing it goes.

I recommend that you set up a demo depiction and either study everything you can beforehand trading a live account next to your own money. Or find a mentor that can help instruct you some various strategies that drain your risks and increase your probabilities of success.

Good luck and may adjectives your guesses be good ones.

Why are (OB) "over-the-counter bulletin" stocks flimsily traded?

Question:

Answer:
the primary reason is these are companies that does not gather round the rigorous filing requirements of the foremost exchanges such as NYSE or Nasdaq. These are legitimate companies, but their volumes are usually highly low and the liquidity of the stock is not very soaring. Check out http://ibooyah.com for investment matters.
because near are so many and they are mostly bogus companies. plus unless they are put on a stock pickers index nobody ever knows they exist. shift on yahoo stock message boards and tell as heaps people as possible on any threads to check out the one you own. if only a few are gullible adequate to buy it should go up.
Too much supply and too much risk
Companies traded "OTC" (Over the Counter) are development-stage companies or companies 'down on their luck'. Everyone like a winner-- or at least a company next to a proven track record -- so that's where on earth they tend to put their money when they invest, rather than unproven (or reverberatingly troubled) companies. I own 'penny stocks', but only because I look at them as the open market equivelant of a lottery ticket. Like they say, "ya never know..."
Not adjectives are. Quite a few have beefy trading volume. For example Northwest Airlines traded over 20 million shares today. The main difference surrounded by pricing is not due the thin trading, although really many are lightly traded, but to the way the stocks are traded. They are traded through sponcering brokers who attempt to allege a market surrounded by the stocks. That can lead to immense differences in the bid and asked prices depending on supply and emergency.
well Northwest is coming out of ruin soon and people are hoping to ride the tide when it comes out. May or may not work.

Is monetary situation stable?

Question:

Answer:
Depending in which ways to look at it. US cutback is generally pretty perfect minus a few bumps and scrapes. The US reduction has be stable in that at hand has be slow but steady job increases and financial growth. Inflation is steady and is low especially with Oil prices plummeting although may rise pretty soon. Also stock market have done relatively well. Dow Jones have been hitting exotic highs. Although George Bush's monetary state address was too much bragging, he is correct within the fact that the discount is steady and doing fairly economically.

The only preventive lights have be the extremely high US Debt ($6.2 Trillion and counting), extremely low funds rate of -1% (Meaning people are spending more money than they enjoy and rates haven't been this low since the depression), transcript trade deficit, and political instability. These are ingredients to a large downfall. Tax rates may hold to rise to pay past its sell-by date the debt especially as Japan's interest rates will rise and not flood the market anymore next to cheap money which has funded purchases of US Debt, and China and lots other countries in Asia and Europe are looking at diversifying their Cash reserves out of US Treasury bonds. This will aim that interest rates will rise and the economy could collapse. The transcription household debt will mean culture won't be able to repay their bills especially if these rises occur. Also see could trigger economic wavering. But remember, this is hypothetically.

So far this doesn't look like it will develop. So if your looking at financial advice, I would ensure you own liquid currency available. Even though this is everyday advice, own money sitting in a chequing or nest egg account set available in any emergency. Invest within the equity markets within moderate proportions. They won't crash anytime soon. Just take precautionary engagements to ensure for the just contained by case. But really you should do that anyday, contained by economic glorious times or low times.
Whose?

Yes.

No.

Maybe.

Is Bulgaria a polite investment?

Question:

Answer:
IT ALL depends on what you are going to invest in.
otherwise it is a great country.
If anywhere contained by eastern Europe was a correct investment why is everybody trying to get surrounded by here !!
No.
The malvinas are Argentine
Because to steal what they does not belong?
On April 2: Day of the Veteran and of the Fallen in the period of war in Malvinas.

Argentine force!...
Property developers etc. will transmit you it is but then again they want to get rid of you something.

I thought about investing nearby but I didn't get the right vibes so pulled away.

Ultimately Bulgaria have a fragile economy and any investment in attendance is for sure going to be risky. Don' think it must be protected because it's in EU; suppose of al those recent Spanish scams.

imho dyor
no it is not cos it is an farming country, if you want to invest abroad you should look at cyprus, lovely island raging tourism dutiful weather, if you like email me as i hold contacts for cyprus and other islands who deal within property and land
It depends on what you invest contained by. Eastern European countries have a reputation for corruption, mismanagement and inept governing body. However, I would look carefully at the facts before concurring next to the stereotype.

I have invested within Eastern European Mutual Funds for about three years immediately and have made roughly speaking 25% returns per annum. Central and Eastern European countries (Poland, Hungary for example) have be notching up 5-7% growth rates since 2000. So look again. I did and I do not regret it.
Bulgaria is a righteous investment in the long possession. Short term may not be as great but still terribly possible. Lots of cash man spent on housing, roads, water etc from the EU. I only just brought in Bansko and am outstandingly pleased. They are so cheap they cant possibly get any lower. What i would say-so is do your homework, there is alot of cons out nearby. Get proper legal, import tax advise and if you cant afford to complete on the finish of the building dont buy it.

Sean
From someone who know Bulgaria very wellmyselfI can speak about you that if your looking for property then Bulgaria no problem is a great investment.

My credentials? My wife is Bulgarian and I spend alot of time there (going contained by two days to Plovdiv for a while for Easter). We are always looking to invest contained by property there as it is resembling gold at the moment.

Those that say-so the economy is fragile enjoy not been to Bulgaria, the discount is thriving in Bulgaria. The reduction was fragile ten years ago but since 1991 when Bulgaria come out of communism the economy have grown from strength to strength. Part of the accession to the EU was proving the stability of the discount.

Also for those worried about crime, the crime surrounded by Bulgaria is nothing compared to the crime surrounded by the UKmy credentials on this...my wifes father was the chief of police for one of the cities until he retired.

Overall my belief is Bulgaria is a great investment, if you are unsure about investing in attendance then why not filch a trip and find out how wonderful the country and people are for yourself.

If you want to find out more something like Bulgaria I am building a site all more or less the country http://infobulgariaguide.com
Probably...
Remember anything you buy you have to know how to sell. Bulgaria's reduction outside of investment is quite anodyne, although as I see it they can only benefit from EU strong views.

A word of warning - corruption + rip bad merchants. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

I other think that investment trusts are the 'best' investments, because they are heavily regulated. by the FSA and its plentifully easier to get your money out.

Is in attendance a system i can obtain that search the stock exchange for companies that are performing completely powerfully?

Question:
I would like a system that search the stock exchanges and finds companies that have adjectives of a suddern sky rocketed in see and are at an all time glorious. Is there such a system that will scan and bring up these?

Answer:
digitallook, progress to tools then to stock screener.
It is free but you enjoy to register. There is no spam as far as I remember, might be worth using a web base address just contained by case.
I don't deem so... there are some great sites that will assistance you track stocks... try globinvestor.com... it's a canadian site with access to every exchange... but your press begs the press... why would you want to track a stock that has reach a high... seem to me... "buy low... sell high" is the best investment warning... the best way to find a stock is through the rag... most tell you what the 52 week high/low be
Anything to do with share dramatization 'costs'

The best I can suggest is to sign up for ADVFN 'advanced' information & charting.

The 'cost ' ? Well you have to supply them your email address - I ended up next to a small mountain of 'financial' junk post ...

"Information (especially financial information) is power"
also try www.fool.com where you can of late see stocks performed capably in former times and you can see their history.
