I really want to start my own business or website that will make me money. I can't purely sit here anymore not doing anything important.
I'm a really obedient writer and am good at clear design. I know typography, vectors, and web design ably. I just want to know how I can put my skills into something that will be worthwhile. I'm liable to pay for any materials, network hosting, or domains I'll need.
One model I was thinking of be, starting a T-Shirt line beside some of my designs and donating a portion of the proceeds to a charity of my choice. Whatever I do, I want to put a some emphasis on giving pay for and knowing what's going on in the world.
I'm going to Fashion university in somewhat over a year, if that helps near my interests. But really I just have need of some ideas or back with what I could do.
It could be a blog, a graphics website, a t-shirt vein or whatever as long as I'm doing something. I really call for HELP and advice though, so please answer intelligently. :)
Answers: You could do adjectives those things, couldn't you?
You could have a website that have a blog, where you could write just about things to keep those coming back to your website.
You could also hold a section of the site showcasing adjectives your different work, and inviting people to contact you should they want their own graphics / doesn`t matter what. You could do things like logos or signatures for trellis boards for as little as $1 with a PayPal button right up to trellis design for people.
You could also hold another section on your site which sell your T-Shirt designs. You could use Cafepress or something to easily put adjectives your T-Shirts up there and go them with your designs.
And higher than all that you could put a PayPal donate button on end in you're not really a business, you're a sole trader being creative so, merely make an awesome site, recount all your friends and ethnic group, post it round the web and hold fun?

http://www.flowinternet.net/ is my web host btw - they hold lots of good free software approaching blogs and forums to auto-install and low costs, makes stuff easier / quicker to set up, and free investigate submitting and the suchlike.
You could have a forum too in reality, things that keep citizens coming back and agree to you chat to your people? =P
Have you considered setting up some page on Squidoo. They are free and simple to set up. No hosting is required.
You can include a lot of your information, etc on them.

My first piece of advice is to breed sure you set up a legal business entity. That ability finding out what licenses you entail to operate and pay taxes near. Relax though... a business license is a deductible expense ($50?) and you only payment taxes on your sales so product sure you find out how to go nearly getting the legal side covered and later you can write off alot of the expenses that you'd otherwise earnings out of pocket. Your local library can help you cram about business startup, accounting, purchasing, and the other phases of business you should enjoy your hands surrounded by if you truly want to see profits from your ventures. Making your own physical product and selling them would require you to invest short knowing whether you'd profit from it. Start small. Affiliate marketing doesn't require you to make your own product so it's a well-mannered place to start. This book explains how it's done:
