2 Letters contained by an Envelope?

I have these friends who are twins. I want to write them a missive. I don't want to use 2 envelopes and 2 stamps, so can i put 2 letters within one envelope and use one stamp? Or would that be illegal? Help?

Answers:   Not unsanctioned at all. As long as you stay in the weight and envelope size boundaries, the USPS does not really care what is inside.

OK, surrounded by the case of parcels, they do precision - no chemicals, dangerous stuff, no drugs for sure, --- things approaching that.
