Answers: You'll get a apt job beside either central, so you should research both and pick what interests you most.

My brother is an accounting major and have worked as an auditor for several years.
Characteristics: You should enjoy research and applying accounting rules (debits, credits, balance sheets, income statements, depreciation, etc), possibly near a specialization in a unique area such as export tax. You will need to go past an exam to become a CPA. You should enjoy working beside clients, particularly corporations, if you plan to work for a big firm.
Positives: The industry is other hiring, so you'll always hold a job. You can work near a variety of clients, commonly with opportunity to travel. With some experience from a big firm, you can fix together a small firm later on and enjoy a more relaxing lifestyle.
Negatives: You are often traveling, which can achieve tiring, especially when you don't pick the location for yourself. While base settle is good, average bonuses for accountants are significantly lower than nouns majors who work on Wall St.

I am a finance focal and have worked on Wall Street for 10 years.
Characteristics: Finance majors swot up how markets work, what financial instuments are such as stocks, bonds, and derivatives, and how to advantage a corporation.
Positives: Job flexibility -- The principles of finance can be applied to heaps types of roles, including investment banking, sale, trading, or operations as in good health as entrepreneurial roles. Many firms, particularly on Wall Street, donate the chance to build a lot of money down the road if you are successful. Most roles extend involvement working with some sort of client, any corporate, government, or private individuals.
Negatives: The work hours can be long and intense, so you want a suitable personality. Many general public perceive these roles as greedy, so if you desire to change the world, you'll necessitate to find a niche job doing something resembling microfinance in developing nation.

Good luck!
They're both great fields and both of them ending up with apposite jobs.

I enjoy a degree within Accounting. It was a difficult amount to earn.

I think more job are available for accountants.

Good luck.
Depends on where you want to move about with it. Accountants form a really good starting take-home pay (averaging around 35k) and with the change to reporting standards after Enron scandal they are very much surrounded by demand.
Finance is also a great choice and while you may not fashion as much initially you have the potential to be in motion into areas that make much more (Investment bank, brokerage, trading etc)
I have an MBA contained by finance and own worked as a cost accountant and done general accounting job that I enjoyed. I found them immensely low stress, stable and the pay be ok. I was lucky and a friend help me become a proprietary trader at an energy firm and I enjoy now be a trader for over 8 years. The environment is much more intense/stressfull/ and exilerating. The pay, while not nearly as stable, probably averages almost 3 to 4 times higher than I would own been making as an acountant. I don't perceive that the skills I have aquired as a trader are as tranferrable, however, as those I gain as an accountant should I have to find a strange job.
They are both critical fields within the the business world and will be in the adjectives. There are skills learned within both that cross over into the other field. I like them both but found finance to be more exciting while accounting be more stable with a more structured trade path. Im glad I go to finance but would be sunny going back to accounting should the requirement arise. So it really depends on what you're like and what type of environment you are looking to work surrounded by. You reallycan't go wrong beside either.

How do I find out if a reminder received contained by the correspondence is solid or a scam?

My boyfriend received a letter contained by the mail the other daylight with a check for $2900.00. It's from a company base out of Canada. AGR Financial Services. I looked it up and it is a legitimate company who deal with money orders/transfers. This communiqu¨¦ stated he won money, one of 6 winners. Seems similar to a scam to me. But the check seems completely definite. It's made out from Bank of America. I'm sure it's too good to be true as are most things surrounded by life, but if the company is a indisputable company and the check is real and the mound is also, could this be legit? I don't want to call the number on the dispatch because it is in Canada and self in the US I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg. Oh, and the postage be from Canada if that helps any..

Answers: Sounds approaching a scam to me.

If you enjoy a Better Business Bureau in your city, ring them and maybe they can be of some comfort. If there be no contest that he entered, it may be a scam.
