Cash flow forecast/ statement?
if you have an increase of debtors would that be a + or a - to the total? and if creditors change decreases would that eb a + or a - to the commentary? also this question states an overdraft be due to be paid by the cease of the month so would I put that in as a - (minus) still?Answers: An increase within debtors is a +
if creditor cash decrease it's a +
and an overdraft will be a -
If there is increase surrounded by debtors it increases total.
If creditor decreases, it too increase the total, After deduct the overdraft amount the total will be full high than in the past.
There is a difference between an asset, a liability and a cashflow forcast.
The assets and liabilities are constituent of your P&L Statement,
The anticipated income goes on your cashflow/forcast.
The debt / unpaid set off would be a liability in the near-term, and become a loss after a time of year of time (Usually 90-120 days).
Money that you owe is accumulated within the negative.
If it increases, that's a bigger refusal.
Money that is owed you is accumulate in the positive.
When some customer pays you, the average entry would be a positive to the Cash in Bank report, and opposite unenthusiastic entry out of the Receivables owed you. There might also be some entry with Discounts taken.
For example, suppose they owed you $1,000 where on earth there expressions are that they can take a 2% discount if they payment within 10 days. They do so.
You minus Receivables by $1,000 because specifically not owed any more.
You add $980 to lolly in ridge and $ 20 difference to discounts on sales.
Often a customer does the math wrong on figure discounts, so you may have addtional article to carry the errors, such as customers who took discounts they be not entitled to.
How to do business with service industry when we compare with product sales?
Answers: As I understand your question, you want to compare businesses in the service industry with businesses in retail sales.
It is different to compare thing that are inherently different.
You can pick a common metric (market capitalization, gross income or net profit) but without a more detail understanding of how the metrics are determined you can often be mislead.
I usually look for some general accepted guideline to make comparsions. I would also consider why I want to compare companies.
There is a Retail Industry Audit Technique Guide (ATG) but there is no general Service Industry ATG. I assume the reason is that service industry is more heterogeneous that retail and that it make more sense to provide ATGs for the different types of services because they involves diverse and unique industry issues and business practices,
A list of ATGs for different industries.
